@@MattGodzilla2000 I think you’re misunderstanding, I’m just saying that animation is super cool! I love how far we’ve come. So many artists have propelled forward their stories through the medium! Tbh I don’t animate much anymore and focus on still painting, but animation still has a very special place in my heart.
While the cartoons themselves are fun, the excellent musical work by Carl Stalling and the studio orchestra are perfect. He also did most of the Bugs Bunny scoring for WB and those are some of the best that have ever been done for an animated short.
5:27 I just spotted Mr. Iwerks re-using "jokes", on the ever so famous "steamboat willie" pegleg pete does the same kick, missing mickey and kicking his own rear in the same fashion, i'd post the approx. time he did it but im lazy...
I can’t wait for the last 𝘍𝘭𝘪𝘱 film to enter the public domain, so no one can sue us from rebooting a perfectly good but forgotten sound cartoon from the 1930s.
it is amazing to see how far we've come. From Flip the frog to Steven Universe. From Daisy the Cow to Transformers Prime. Animation is amazing.
It really is and It has improved really good over the years🎉💯
So its gotten worse so what?

my favorite bit is just frog going 'doopy doop doop' at the begging :D
6:36 Excuse you.

i really like the flip the frog intro.
Man, I HATE it when I try to kick someone's butt, but accidentaly kick my own
I KNOW! RIGHT!?
+Yason You He kept going and crashed!
@artman. That reference is to a 1920's band leader Paul Whiteman. He was VERY popular at the time and made records through to the 1940's.
if you wacth the first 2 minutes without laughing or grinning, there is something wrong with you XD
MindfUqk what's wrong is that it watched it multiple times
6:23 to 6:28, Sounds like the start of the 20th Century Fox Fanfare.
cuz it is
You mean 20th century studios?
@@calebkuti7897 the comment was back when they were sill called 20th Century Fox they renamed themselves in 2020
The part where Flip gets distracted by the woman and the customer eats his dishes reminds me of the Talkartoon "Dizzy Dishes"
Super song.
The Beast with A Billion Backs
Well I give this cartoon 10/10
Fine vintage Flip
Now that's a soup song! 6:28.
4:11 to 5:12 this part reminds me of that Max Fleischer cartoon, dizzy dishes
Flip the frog dipped a boot to the soup. A boot shouldn’t be put in a soup
This gives me cuphead vibes
I can see how RALPH BASHKI tried to subvert IWERK'S style in his much later---early 70s 'FRITZ the CAT'.
ThE SoUp SoNg
A frog rescuing a fly, and then not eating it. Go ahead and let the frog *act* like a frog!
the cat dances like spongebob!
Adorable
Error at 0:23 - The moon disappears when the chimney plays the trumpet!

Does anyone understand reference at 0:52?
it's the face of 1920's band leader Paul Whiteman
@@Sorsha011 Thanks!
oh my god! the scary mgm logo isn't in this cartoon. this sounds cool!
Why is the MGM logo scary, Are you talking about Slats, Coffee or Tanner or even Leo, which one?🤔
Who owns the rights to Flip the Frog?
Either MGM owns him or he's in the public domain
Flip is owned by Pat Powers and his Celebrity Productions company with MGM involved.
@@deletedforlife Oh? Powers is dead. Is Celebrity Productions still around today?
@@yosefdemby8792 I have no idea, If Celeb Productions is still open without Powers

0:53 now ain't that racist?
mothrasaurus 0:53
no it isn't - it's the face of Paul Whiteman - a famous 1920's band leader. Not sure how that equals anything racist?
