Im building a 67 fastback right now but I’ll have a 71-73 with a big block with Kasse heads. Big, tall, wide tires on back, skinny’s on the front. Best body style for drag racing look in my opinion.
There is one thing you can do to make it even cooler - swap in the rear quarter window winding mechanisms from a 71-73 coupe so you can wind those back windows down. Did it to my '72 fastback, the mechanism fits right in, all the mounting holes are already there in the fastback and the fastback quarter windows fit perfectly onto the coupe mechanisms.
Had a 71 cobra jet solid lifters 4 speed top loader an 4:11 pos .would destroy riveted clutch first time out had to go bonded but that car was fun fun fun
429 was a great motor. Beautiful car.
