I think what you are saying is not only true in dating a woman, but also in keeping her. I have had friends who were so clingy "needy" that their wives or girl friends left them. There was a moment in my relationship with my wife where she was having another man show interest in her. It was never physical, but I know she was really thinking about leaving. She started doing the thing people do where they point out all of your flaws (that they were once fine with) in order to feel justified about leaving. It finally came to a head one night when she was packing a suit case to move out. I had to fight my instinct to get on my knees and beg her to stay. I just went in the other room as she packed. She came out and looked at me asking, "Aren't you even going to fight for me?" I looked her in the eyes and said, "Baby, it will break my heart if you leave, but I won't curl up in a ball and die." I said, "I will keep going and I know I will make it okay." "I love you and don't want you to go and believe we are better together, but I will live on and be fine if you leave." What I had done was show her I wasn't desperate and needy. I was confident in myself. Confident to live and even find love again. She went back in the bedroom and after a long while she came out and told me she was staying. That was ten years ago and we are coming up on our 27th anniversary together this year.
You should vet her friend circle and punish her for doing what she did that night ten years ago. You should ask her why shouldn't you leave her now for a younger woman the way she was so ready to leave you for that or any other guy 10 years ago.
Don't kid yourself, if she was packing to leave, she certainly was boned and meat-packed by the other dude prior to getting to that point... Happy Anniversary!

She was beautiful but a lot of artificial parts on this 58 year old. Had a few other factors to that didn't add up for me. I have always been a high value guy. Confidence is just an aftermath feeling that comes from past success nothing more nothing less. For an example if a person was able to attract someone that they was interested in than that person has gained past success which is what established and contributed to their confidence in the first place.
I have been doing the buyer's frame from the very start, many years ago. My problem was not going any further. I had no confidence back then, because of low self image. Having fixed that, now I'm having to unlearn showing myself as a friend. But it's taking time to change long established habits.
Marni your insights from a woman’s perspective are such a valuable resource for the men out here. I would say one thing that you generalize about is the availability of women to date. That might be so if you are in your 20’s, 30’s or 40’s, but when you are 50, 60 or above, the age range option and consequential available women are far more limited.

These are really good points. I think it has to be internal though, you cant fake a buyer frame, you cant fake self trust and you cant fake an abundance mentality. And the only way you can genuinely be all of these three is to get to the point where you dont need a woman. Another thing I learned is that women are responders, they will respond to your internal state. If you desire a woman, like truly desire her, she'll feel this on a deep level and she'll be drawn to you like a magnet. But it can never be a situation where you're thinking that you need this girl. A man needs his God given purpose in life, women are great and I love them, but it literally says this in the bible: "Woman was made for man, man was not made for woman, man was made for God". And this is the truth that so many guys have forgotten. Love women, for sure, but they are not the answer to the ultimate questions of a mans life.

But the fact is - the main advice that we can get from you is that we have to make the girl to feel something. Information of this sort is critical for a society that has gotten bad dating advice from television and movies. Too many of our young men have been frustrated for way too long because what seems like it should work doesn't. Attractive women used to approach me and engage in conversation but during the interaction they would lose interest. Looks aren't as important to women. I had a lot of things going for me but I lacked swagger. I was always told to be modest. I had to change that or I would have been single forever. Don't be overly nice but don't be a jerk either.

Information of this sort is critical for a society that has gotten bad dating advice from television and movies. Too many of our young men have been frustrated for way too long because what seems like it should work doesn't. Attractive women used to approach me and engage in conversation but during the interaction they would lose interest. Looks aren't as important to women. I had a lot of things going for me but I lacked swagger. I was always told to be modest. I had to change that or I would have been single forever. Don't be overly nice but don't be a jerk either.
