Another entertaining and informational vlog, Mergim! For me, it's bittersweet seeing Christmas happenings in the Philippines brings both a smile and a sadness at the same time. There's really no place like home, especially when it comes to the Christmas season. Thank you for highlighting my home country. 👌👍👊
Pasteurized milk lasts a long time. Cream even longer. Most of the milk in the Philippines is imported from elsewhere mostly Australia and New Zealand and they have longer shelf lives as they are Ultra pasteurized.
For me the Powerplant Mall has the best traditional looking Christmas decor in the Philippines. Before they used to group the animatronics according to specie of animal. Now they’ve combined all their animals which is great as well! The live piano playing in the background really sets the festive mood! 🎄🎄🎄
12:40 - In the year 794, the Emperor Kanmu moved Japan's capital to the site of present day Kyoto and called it Heian-kyo. Unlike the maze like arrangement of other Japanese cities of that era, the checkerboard layout of the streets was inspired by the grid model of Chang'an, the capital of China in the Tang Dynasty. The Edo Period lasted for nearly 260 years until the Meiji Restoration in 1868, when the Tokugawa Shogunate ended and imperial rule was restored. The Emperor moved to Edo, which was renamed Tokyo. Thus, Tokyo became the capital of Japan. The latter 700 years period can be called samurai dominated periods. Samurai have established military governments called the Shogunate in Kamakura, then Muromachi (in Kyoto) and Edo, present Tokyo. Kyoto has been the capital even after the emperors had lost political power.
Mergim, go to Sapporo in February for the snow festival. 🥶 If you go, try the creamy ice cream in Hokkaido. You can pasteurize milk so it doesn't need refrigeration and will keep longer. You need to try the matcha cream puff. There is a Japanese bakery here in California and the matcha cream puff is so good. Very good matcha flavor.
When it comes to ordering via grab at dawn? Hmmm.. In the Philippines breakfast meals normally appear around 5AM such as the pandesal, champorado, lugaw, mami and silog meals Maybe try searching for those? I think Jolibee has the silog meals if you like those type of stuffs and in McDonalds there's the Cheese Eggdesal if you haven't tried that yet but it's only available around 5AM-10AM
You guys should have checked out The Grid in Rockwell. It’s like a food court with very niche restaurants and varying cuisines, but they are a bit expensive.
they have 1 regular puff the hokkaido puff and they change seasonal the second flavor...now its matcha puff. last month it was banana puff... so good!! ❤❤❤
Nice vlog salmon in Philippines and Japan is from Norway...I buy smoked salmon every second day 200 gram 1100 peso with baguette from bread talk.. so yummy 😋 I love Puerto princessa I am from Norway watch all your vlog😊 have a nice day..

The food markets too. Let us know what you think of Makati.
@@Vienne1921 Mergim can take us along McKinley Road crossing Edsa over to Ayala Ave to Makati area. Not many vloggers cover Makati if ever just the Salcedo food market so would love to see an extensive vlog of Makati just like BGC
@@cdl6953 BGC is exaggeratedly expensive. Yes, he should try to try all around Makati. I like Makati, it’s clean too. Not sure now how it looks. I like the Makati christmas lights every year, i forgot the name of the place. It’s in the Makati stocks exchange building. There’s that park where i jog every weekend.
Another great vlog Mergim , by the way if you want value for your money for salmon and other sea food delights come to cubao wet market near farmers market mall that where the locals get there fresh salmon , and fyi milk or any diary products can last a long time or prolong shelf life by the process called thermal processing most common method and some use UV light process which microbiology safe and fresh like products with minor effects on the nutritional and sensory properties of the product etc. Keep it up stay safe and God bless always 🤙
we supposrt Chairman Cafe in BGC, Mike put up his own as uve attended the soft opening right but its far, its in Robinsosn magnolia in QC, pls make one in BGC.
Mergim?!! What kind of seesaws do you have back home?! Hahaha! You need to kick hard! I have never heard of or seen anybody enjoy a slow and gentle seesaw?! Hahahahah!
The reason why the coffee is sour bcoz of its roasting process.. if you dont like sour taste of coffee try the darkroasted beans its earthy nutty and low in acidity.
Mergim, leave the specialty "sour" coffee to those who like it. Go for your dark roast robustas (tho there are specialty robustas, I've heard. haven't seen any yet)
It's called Baristart Coffee Address: Unit 5 ground floor Meridien Tower Two, 1201, 26th St, Taguig, 1634 Metro Manila, Philippines It's very close to Bonifacio High Street (about 2 blocks) along 26th Street.
landmark in alabang outside is also spectacular, i mean malls in the philippines goes all out for xmas decors but ofc theres the best of the best. ive seen xmas in singapore in the streets, they also go all out but the malls here outshine any malls in singapore even our trees are way way way huge than they have.

Power Plant Mall is not as huge as other malls but their Christmas decorations are high quality...
Power Plant mall at Rockwell is one of the best Christmas decors and the car displayed for Christmas raffle.
