MY STORY - I Quit My Job To Travel

- NOTE: This is my story. Please do not take this post as a sign to quit your job, this needs to be carefully planned and executed with a smart decision after each other. If you are planning to do the same, make sure you are emotionally and financially in a right place with secure backup plans.
I QUIT MY JOB To Travel ✈️
September 2021 - I did quit my well-paid and secure corporate job to do what I love the most - to travel. Definitely one of the scariest decisions I had to make during my 28 years of life. It was scary in many ways - financially, physically, and emotionally. As much as my work was promising and secure I did not want to disappear in 9 to 5 circles. I did not want to live and die in the same place even tho I love Prague with my whole heart. And most importantly I did not want to experience the world in 2 weeks vacations in a year by the seaside.
October 2021 - After my notice period, I was fully free to do whatever I want with my time, so that is when I started my trip to the Middle East. That is when I understood there are would not never be the right time. It is just when you feel the most scared that is when you do the jump. There is never a right moment, it is all about creating the moment and manifesting the life you desire.
January 2022 - today I am able to create content full time and share my experiences with millions of viewers on 5 different platforms. Backpacking with 15kg in the countries where my weak passport allows me. Actually what I do as a content creator does not feel like a job, and also I feel like the energy I put out is all for me and for my future rather than being part of the big machine and selling your time for money.
Quitting a job sounds so cliche and cool - but lots of long-term planning and effort come with it. After all, this was the end goal of my 2-year plan. It is really scary to take the jump when you are at the edge of the cliff but staying the same for the rest of your life is scarier.
Also traveling is not easy - full-time traveling is not just having fun and seeing new places every day. As much as it sounds fun, it also comes with so many decisions every day because you do not have a scheduled life. Traveling also means being away from friends and loved ones. Traveling also means sleeping in hostels with snoring people. Traveling also means being lonely and looking for a cozy corner to feel like home.
After all, this was my decision to act on my dreams and do not waste my youth years for the right time…

having a backup plan is a must when you are taking step forward to change your existing carrier. You did the right thing quitting the job but still had source of income to survive incase of failure in the path you choose. Now, here you are after 5 months having 5 times more subscribers! I wish I would have traveled at a younger age like you. I am retired and do a lot of traveling but sometimes I am physically restricted in the traveling I have to do. You are so interesting and a great presenter. Everytime you do your podcast, it feels like I'm there with you. You make traveling so real. Just DO IT! And don't look back!

Many people want to travel but can't by different reasons. I had a dream to travel all over the world, i wanted to discover smth new, unusual that i hadn't seen before. But it is not easy i think, even physically, to move from one place to another like a nomade.
So i am very greatful to travel bloggers for giving us a chance to travel not leaving our homes, jobs, without troubles, waisting time, efforts, money. Thank you Davud, good luck😊
Just came across this video... I was a corporate slave like you and I left Singapore 10 years ago on a one way ticket to Australia. And I have never looked back. I was working 12-16 hours 5-6 days a week and yeah, I miss the money... But that was no way to live life. So I let all of that go and I now live in a small town away from the toil of corporate life.
Back then TH-cam was almost unheard of, otherwise I would have documented my experience. I am now slowly putting videos together of my experience as a migrant in another country. Glad to know I am not alone in this. Good on you for taking this step because only you can be in charge of your destiny.

I loved the way you addressed the camera as 'you' , like "let me put you on the tripod". You fit 100% to be a traveller and content creator. I think you are born to do this. Well done brother. I live in California and enjoy traveling when I can. In my younger years when I was in the military, I traveled often and even after to great locations to scuba dive. However, with a small family it makes it more difficult. My point is to live the life that you dream of. I have been watching you since the early days. You are truly my favorite travel blogger. Taking a leap is very important despite the unknown outcomes we may face. It’s easier to take that risk while still young, like in your case. Glad for you to have taken that jump. I too have quit my corporate 9-5 job in January this year & although I have no plan to be on social media (TH-cam, etc.), I believe that I still made the right decision. I am happy spending time with my family & enjoying my free time for the time being. I will subscribe to your channel to support you. I quit my full time job too, a few years ago. Just like you, I worked in a nice office. It will be hard to leave all the "security" of a cushy job behind. Yet I was so thwarted in my desire that I had to go. Today I am a movement trainer and never had I looked back ever since. So kudos to you and your decision. The only way forward is up. :) It's not without challenges but it is worthy. I feel I am truly myself now.. freedom, life and love and I wish you the same.. I know you will cos you are so authentic.... :)
