Hi Dave! We were really happy to be able to experience that level of wildlife 🤩 but even in Zambia there are places where wildlife has been driven out, yes. In some cases even the parks suffer, like we saw in Kafue (next video ) 😟
Gwabi Lodge one of the best spots on the Kafue... Owner, staff, guides, food, all top class... Nice video, just try and get a smile out of your partner, man... You are on holiday.. 😂😂 Enjoy enjoy enjoy.... 🇿🇦
Gwabi River Lodge is really something. We enjoyed a lot, and we were alone as it was off-season! haha We keep it raw, sometimes we are funny and enthusiastic sometimes we are just us on a normal day, sometimes we are down. part of the travel and the therefore the videos! Thank you and we will, indeed, enjoy!
What a beautiful trip to share with your family , showing them what over landing first hand in a beautiful country is like . Thanks again for sharing your wonderful journey with us your over landing friends cheers from Steve Stott in Sutherlin Oregon U.S.A. :) :) 🌍😁👍🏼
Hey Steve, glad to have you back! We missed you! Yeah it’s great to share the adventure with family and friends. I hope we can do it more often in the future.
the elephants and zebras were so beautiful to see, loved all the animals! the canoeing looked so enjoyable as well - I hope you have a lovely time whilst travelling 😃
The South Luangwa is just a really beautiful park! It was amazing to be surrounded by such beautiful animals. The canoeing was one of the best things we have done EVER 🤩 thank you for watching and taking the time to write a comment! 🤗
Such a rare encounter actually! Haha love the Toyota fans in our channel, it makes life actually way more entertaining ! Thank you for commenting, I love this stuff 😎
Thank you for a great video. I never made it out of lusaka but i am inspired to explore the beautiful country. Tanzania and kenia are overpriced indeed and if zambia is so nice why not go there and fly a few hours more😊
We loved Zambia a lot! From the landscape, the people, the food, we thought it has a really good mix, between the rural Africa and some comforts from South African countries. It was the right decision to avoid parks in Tanzania and Kenya, as our budget would have screamed. If we come back to Africa , Zambia would be in our plans as well as Namibia ❤️
You guys should have really done some 4x4 driving course beforehand. These obstacles are really medium difficulty, and one can easily spot your mistakes and unnecessary fear. Nice trip by the way.
Hey, things in video always look easier than in real life. A steep slope will never look as steep on camera then it is in real live. I believe we got quite some off-road training over the last 10 years traveling with a defender. A South African car got stuck the day before in the same place and had to be pulled out by a truck. And we went only in, to scout how bad it is and if we can make it with the first time off-road drivers in the Prado.
Well done, unpretentious, thus very watchable. And nice voice overs 🙂 I've spent 7 years driving around Africa in my Landy, please reach out if you'd like any advice... Kind regards, Darrin
Thank you so much!! We love it there, it was so beautiful, and we wanted to capture as it was. We will absolutely do, do you have an Instagram or Facebook account(easier to contact)? Regards from South Africa
Really enjoying your videos. Can I suggest, rather than shipping directly to South America and missing out on the Asia-Pacific, you consider shipping to India to explore and then on to Indonesia or Malaysia, also explore Thailand and Singapore and then ship to Australia and maybe even NZ. Lots to experience in that route.
Wow, that would be amazing! But, therefore you need to tell us, where somebody did hide his treasures/fortune.💰 Otherwise we sadly cannot afford that route 😅
I recently came across your channel and I have been looking forward to new episodes. I should have shown you around Kenya, you passed by my hometown. Also I loved the old Landy in Uganda and how Kai had it running after a few touches. I just want to go and buy it from Uganda and take home. Otherwise good content keep up!
Hello Rodgers, thank you! We’d have loved to get the insights of someone local from Kenya. We have quite a bit of delay in our videos, but I just spoke to the Father from the parish in Uganda. He told me the car was sold in the meantime!
Thanks for the video. It’s useful to me as I’m off to South / North Luangwa and then Mana Pool in a weeks time. With who did you arrange you canoe trip ?
Had problems from a particularly aggressive hippo on this river who made a practice of running under water then bursting up beside the boat. The local guides decided to plug him using a .458 for the safety of future tourists. Remember to put time aside when in Colombia, to visit the former hacienda of a now defunct drug kingpin....He at one time decided to establish a kind of zoo....and stocked the local river with....Hippopotamus-es....they have since thrived and the locals like them,so they have not been exterminated.....obviously they have a lot to learn abouts hippos!!.
We have been in and Around Tiwi in Kenya check Episode 36. Sadly we didn’t make it to the coast of Tanzania other than Zanzibar, what’s probably not representative for Tanzania
Ups!! I always miss those two. In Spanish we don't differentiate so it is easy to swap them 😅thanks for pointing that out! I will doble check when preparing the notes next time 👌
Upps....thats generally German....of Oops of Engrish.....or "botheration" which is a somewhat archaic form of fuck-it! as the plebeian English made inroads into common English usage....today English is in name only in various cities....a change to a type of Creole is taking place thanks to the immigration policies of a certain influential ethnic group.
I think it's irresponsible to go against advice given by Rangers and getting stuck in the National Park. There are animals in Luangwa that can cause serious harm and you are destroying the roads. Also, if you need recovery you will inconvenience a lot of people.
Thank you for your comment. Just for clarification, the ranger didn't say it was not allowed at any moment, he recommended to don't go as it might be too wet. They normally tell you that so they don't have to come to help you out, because they are not maintaining the paths enough. We took care of our surroundings. Of course only go if you know you can get out by your own means, which we did. We enjoyed our time immensely in this park, I hope you also enjoyed the footage 🙌
How irresponsible. You were told not to go off the main roads, but you chose to ignore the official advice. This is not a tame zoo. This is wild Africa. When tourists like you break the rules and get themselves killed, it is usually because of exactly this kind of attitude. It makes me furious. Often they are killed by wild animals and then that animal in turn gets shot.
Hello Debbie, thank you for your comment. Just for clarification, the ranger didn't say it was not allowed at any moment, he recommended to don't go as it might be too wet. They normally tell you that so they don't have to come to help you out, because they are not maintaining the paths enough. We would not drive those paths if we knew we would not be able to get out by ourselves. The path was actually used by other cars, as you can see from the tracks left. While we were taking the car out of the mud, we took care of our surroundings at all times. I understand your concern, and appreciate you taking the time to write about it here. 🤗
Great adventure. When you got bogged, didn’t you want to get your recovery tracks/boards dirty? 🙈😱😂 Sad news from 17/5: “Toddler dead, 23 others missing as hippo capsizes boat in Malawi”🦛🙏
Hey Grahame, Yes, We could have used the sand boards but yeah that would have meant cleaning them afterwards and driving over them until they are straight again and don’t rattle when they are attached to the car. Therefore it was easier to use the Prado. That’s sad news, it’s difficult to find the fine line between adventure and stupidity. We want to explore natural as close and unspoiled as possible. This means sometimes you’re exposed to a certain thread. You always have to weight that up.
Beautiful ! Well done. Really enjoyed the video work of the animals.
Thank you so much Stephy!!! I really appreciate your feedback and support ❤️🤗
Stuff that lasts forever like this is priceless...
Hey Matt, we’ll said! You’re so right. Collect memories, not things!
Good to see pockets of wildlife still in africa .I know that in many parts the wildlife has been driven out ,
Hi Dave! We were really happy to be able to experience that level of wildlife 🤩 but even in Zambia there are places where wildlife has been driven out, yes. In some cases even the parks suffer, like we saw in Kafue (next video ) 😟
Overpopulation is the main cause. The world need to think about population growth.

its lucky to see so many animals in wet season
We were really lucky, but also very patient and we were nearly alone (we only saw another car!)
Nothing like the common African sighting of a Toyota pulling out a Landrover to lift the spirits
Such a rare encounter actually! Haha love the Toyota fans in our channel, it makes life actually way more entertaining ! Thank you for commenting, I love this stuff 😎
@@Thebluelandy I was in a 'Cruiser once and got pulled out by a Landy.

Nice game park , seems to have plenty of animals.
It's beautiful, we were there in the rainy season, during the dry season one can see even more!!
❤
❤️
Vor ein paar Tagen lief in der ARD ein Film über den Sambesi - eure Bilder können durchaus mithalten. Macht ihr toll. Grüße an Mama .....LG Klaus
Danke 🙏
In den Parks ist es garnicht so schwer tolle Bilder zu Produzieren, Man muss nur Glück haben das die tiere aus dem Busch kommen

Hi Mark! Call Gwabi River Lodge and ask for tour options. We did a day tour, but it's possible to do several days, with sleepover at the islands!
Thanks

How did those with Toyota manage to pass?
We didn't attempt it with the Toyota, being a rental with a high deposit meant we could not take so many risks 😂
🇿🇲🇿🇲🇿🇲
Visit coastal Kenya and Tanzania

Might have said something wrong there. The Zambezi starts in Zambia, not Congo.
Oh yeah you are right sorry for that.
There is enough wildlife in that park to get Noah's Ark half full.
There was indeed😉, even if we went in wet season! Such a beautiful park and perfect for our first time self drive safari 👌👌👌👌
Hi Guys, in the context, the correct English for "Schatten" is shade....not shadow 😀 Safe trip!

Great to see a landrover being pulled out by a TOYOTA
Hahaha, we had to scout with the Land Rover, for paths the Prado could do. We were not successful.🤷♀️
Woman driver?
🤫😜😂
Just joking... At least she smiles... and defends the Defender...
Give that girl a Bells....
🇿🇦
Nope, check again.... The Landy was pushing the Prado with a stiff rope 🤭🤭🤭
