@@xTristan69x He likely stayed in the Duel Monster world. Everyone who was “sent to the stars” wasn’t really dead, including someone who was having heart failure. If “he” was able to return home by the following season, I assume Adrian was free from Yubel’s prison too, but was left in one of the alternate dimensions, where Adrian would preferably stay.
If Adrian kept his mouth shut he could've won this duel 3 times. First with Exodios, second with royal sword with his fog king and third with his facedown trap. Also we all know that Yubel can't force opposing monster to attack. I know it was this season plot but Adrian won this duel. Strongest duelist in GX. Too bad we didn't get to see Jaden and Axel part two or Zane vs Axel.
Nah bro I think Zane is wayyyy better than Adrian as Zane has a lot more of offensive and defensive strategies he’d beat Adrian before the 4th turn of the game
If I was Adrian, I wouldn't have told him how Exodious endgame effect work because I don't have to explain it to my opponent so they won't get an idea for a counter
The fact that Yubel/Jesse had that hand is more disgusting than Zane and Kaiba always having 3 Cyber Dragon/Blue Eyes in their starting hands. Yubel had all 3 sacred beast cards in his hand on top of the exact combo of cards with the 3 spells 3 traps and 3 tokens to summon them all. Does no one shuffle their decks?
They do, but these anime duels are all scripted by a group of writers who don't care too much about how unlikely it is to open with a hand like that. All yugioh series are made to sell the card game. The writers will always prioritize spectacle over logic
I really loved the Yubel Inner Monologue in this duel, she really brought some protagonist energy to this duel, but like, in the Light Yagami sort of way.
It's weird that they never aired the episode during the 4Kids program. Like it cuts straight to Jaden vs Jesse/Yubel a week after the first part of the Adrian duel
That’s weird. Cause I remember watching both the first episode of Yubel and Adrian’s duel, as well as the second episode, when I was a kid and it was on TV while it was airing. It’s been a long time though, so my memory could be a little hazy. After all, Yubel gave a quick recap during the beginning of the Jaden vs Yubel duel.
I’m pretty sure he was free from Yubel’s prison, like Jaden’s friends were once Jaden fused himself and Yubel together. But unlike Jaden’s friends, Adrian was probably left in the Duel Spirit world where Adrian intended to rule.
Adrian could’ve beaten yubel, on his 2nd turn if he attacked hamon instead of uria he would’ve stopped yubel from summoning armatyle and beat her on his next turn
Had no idea how Jesse/yubel beat exodius basically the ultimate phantasm deals 10000 points of damage but for some reason switched sides? Then removed exodius from play then what was the point of the 10000 atk points
I think the anime Yubel explained armityle's effects confusingly; what Yubel meant to say was when it attacks it gains 10000 atk points. But when it's not attacking its atk is 0. Its second ability allows it to move to the opponent's field during the main phase and banish their monsters and its third effect (it cannot be destroyed by battle). Yubel meant to say it gains 10000atk in battle not it inflicts effect damage.
@ thanks bro😂 that makes wayy more sense I knew it’s effect but the way yubel explained it I was like switch fields? That effect is kind of broken I wished that was added to the TCG of the ultimate phantasm
The ritual of the forbidden lord effect to activate from the gy makes no sense without needing to activate from the hand. It's like Adrian has no intention to activate the spell from the hand, just relies on opponent to force discard it instead
It does make sense in a way because once your opponent knows you are playing exodia they will try to attack your hand, so the ritual spell is like a backup.
Honestly, this guy Adrian has a totally broken deck. I'm starting to doubt how would someone like Jaden (a better duelist on paper) be able to defeat Exodius. What exactly could he play? This is crazy.
@@StrangerGamer10 Jaden also used "Light Laser" which can banish Exodius. Grand Mole and Grand Neos can also defeat him. And if nothing helps... Jaden would use an Anime-only never seen before Card and use Protagonist Plost Twists.
@@wilkobadberg5272 none of those would work cause Exodius is immune to card effects. In the modern game the only way to get rid of it is to use a Kaiju
@ true, if he had a monster to summon. But he was done to one card, which was magical mallet, thus he used Fog Castle’s retrieval effect which also required discarding the hand. And if he had a monster with a burn effect, he could’ve used that to get around the skip battle phase cost of the castle with Yubel down to 100 . But since he didn’t have any in the graveyard, Exodia was pretty much the only option.
Adrian would've lost if Yubel attacked with Armityle to deal 10,000 damage due to the anime effect. Adrian would've lost back then. But instead Yubel decided to use the removal instead which ppl can consider bs, but that's ho goes in anime.
@@velichkanikolova2394in the anime, due to the way the effect is worded, Yubel couldn't have attacked. "Once per turn, if this card is in face-up Attack Position, this card can inflict 10,000 battle damage to 1 monster your opponent controls." The way that is worded given the time frame, it was an effect that "targeted" the monster to apply the effect to, which EUFL couldn't be "targeted" by said effect
I’m honestly surprised he didn’t include the head in his starting hand. If he included the head instead of his spell card, he’d have all 5 parts of Exodia, and he would’ve won before the duel even started.
They are but also they aren't. I mean the Egyptian god cards have narrative purpose and the phantom trio were just a mcguffin, even the effects were radically different and dont truly mirror the god cards except for really basic stuff like raviel symbolizing power like obelisk, hamon symbolizing separation between divine and mortal and uria symbolizing judgement but even that is loose connection.
Wait.. I thought Adrian said that Fog King's battle ability was to drop both monsters to 1 Attack point. So why did Yubel take 500 damage at 14:20? Also! My head hurts a little on this one. Yubel specifically stated that he had to use the effect of Nightmare Shuffle on HIS turn. Yet he activated a random card (that could very well have been a monster) as a Quick Play Spell on Adrian's turn. I.. I don't think that particular move was legal if we go by word of mouth XD
Credit where credit is due, out of everyone Yubel dueled, Adrian was the closest anyone ever came to actually beating her. Every duel she had with Jaden ended in a draw, and she had Zane on the ropes, but Adrian managed to keep up with her and left her with 100 LP. Hell, even her smug demeanor gradually evaporated the longer the duel went on while she was forced to go on the defensive before she had to summon herself to win the duel.
I just realized that Adrian would have won if he just Summoned the Exodia piece he added from his Deck to his hand thanks to Break the Seal. But noooo! He let his pride of trying to use the Win Condition of Exodia the Forbidden One. ... Alright, that's enough of a nitpick. Overall, I enjoyed this duel, and to the honest, the entirety of GX's 3rd Season. Mainly because I absolutely loved Yubel as a villain. Arguably, at least by duel standards, Yubel is the strongest villain in the entirety of Yugioh series. If she didn't let Adrian have Exodia due to her offering him power, SHE'D have Exodia in her Deck instead. Edit: Also one more add in. She's the ONLY Yugioh villain to have NEVER lost a duel.
Adrien should have won, Yubel using hand destruction and such was like he sided against an exodia deck, and he still almost lost like twice over. I LOVE This duel
It appeared as if Adrian had a part of Exodia with 200 ATK vs Yubel's 100 LP. Yubel's field was completely empty too. He could've just attacked with a piece of Exodia but was too obsessed with using Exodia's effect that he didn't want to put a piece of it on the field
@@ScarletKuriboh One of the rare cases of the villain having absurd plot armor. Yubel had no clue about Exodios or Fog King, nor Fog Castle, yet they still pulled the out each time.
Gozoboro kaiba vs Adrian. Which one wins in terms of their anime decks? Adrian has Exodus but Gozoboro has Exodia Necross (Anime version). Which one wins? Neither of them can be destroyed in battle and they both gain attack points from every battle
Wow i didn't know Yubel ran a Sacred Beast deck, i thought they were a one and done in season 1. I realized Yubel got rid of Jessie's accent which is an improvement.
from my point of view Adrian made huge misplaz during his end turn he could hava ttacked with exodias leg to finish or he could used Backup Soldier at the damage step to get exodia . instant win , exodia has priority than other cards on the field.
He used Fog Castle's effect (sending it to the graveyard) he could not have a battle phase. Here is the card's effect(Fog Castle): "When a monster you control is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon it to your field, but the Monster Card Zone the monster occupied can no longer be used. When the effect of this card leaves you without any usable Monster Card Zones, send this card and your entire hand to the Graveyard, then add 4 monsters from your Graveyard to your hand. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase during the turn this effect is activated."
He couldn't because by using Fog Castle's effect by sending it to the graveyard you don't have a battle phase. Here is the effect(Fog Castle):"When a monster you control is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon it to your field, but the Monster Card Zone the monster occupied can no longer be used. When the effect of this card leaves you without any usable Monster Card Zones, send this card and your entire hand to the Graveyard, then add 4 monsters from your Graveyard to your hand. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase during the turn this effect is activated."
I just noticed something. Even though Adrian put face-down Backup Soldier (trap) how exactly would he have won on his next turn as the trap requires 5 monsters to be in the graveyard. Three of the Exodia pieces are in there (after playing "A Feather of the Phoenix) plus Fog King (that makes four monsters in the graveyard in total) but not Exodius because it was banished by Armityle so where would the 5th monster come from for him to activate Backup Soldier?
Adrian played Feather of the Phoenix by discarding 1 card from his hand he can get 1 card back from the GY and put it on top of his deck(Exodia Forbidden One's Head), then he would draw Exodia, then activate backup soldier and bring 3 normal monsters back from the GY(normal monsters with no effects) which allowed Adrian to bring back 3 of the forbidden pieces left arm, left leg, & right arm of Exodia combined with the Head and Left Leg Adrian wins the duel.
@@Nights0fAzure Thanks for commenting but you are not understanding it yet. Backup Soldier requires 5 monsters to be in the graveyard before you can activate it. Here is the actual card effect of Backup Soldier:"While there are 5 or more monsters in your Graveyard: Target up to 3 non-Effect Monsters with 1500 or less ATK in your Graveyard; add them to your hand." Okay, he had the left arm, right arm and right leg in the graveyard (freeze the video at 18:37, he has the left leg in his hand due to Break the Seal resolving) plus the fog king that got sent there when Royal sword was destroyed by Grave-Squirmer so that makes 4 monsters in the graveyard in total. As you need 5 he can't activate Backup Soldier. Even if he drew the Head of Exodia on the next turn there is no way to activate Backup Soldier as he only has 4 monsters total in the graveyard (3 Exodia pieces + Fog King), Exodius is not in the graveyard as that was banished by Yubel's Chaos Phantasm Armityle earlier when it moved to Adrian's field. I hope I explained it well. No disrespect but people are overlooking it.
@@rendezytagain plot armor people forget about the "cards states the activation" but the anime itself they don't care they screw the rules. Yes I'm aware of having 5 monsters in the GY, but Adrian would automatically win because plot.
@@velichkanikolova2394 maybe but once per turn, the new exodia Fusion gains attack points based on LP. Sure Exodus can't be destroyed and is unaffect but Adrian could still take the damage.
Am I missing something here or is Adrian stupid? Yubel had an empty field and 100 LP so why didn't he just summon Exodias leg and have it end it? I don't think he'd had his battle phase that turn yet right? Was his obsession with an Exodia victory just that strong?
Funny enough they "corrected" it by releasing the Card "Armityle the Chaos Phantasm - Phantom of Fury". This Card has exactly the effect shown in this Video.
Adrian would have won this duel 10 times over with the amount of asspulls Yubel was doing with her cards. Hand Destruction sends 2 cards to the grave, not 4 (plus Yubel would need to have 4 cards in hand as well), and if we ignore the dumb roundabout way Exodius was removed from play, the amount of dumb luck it would take to grab your one copy of Hand Destruction from the Graveyard amongst the 13 other cards already there is just plain obnoxious. At the end of the day there was no way Adrian was winning this game, but at least they could have made it less luck dependent and more a display of raw skill/power
This is GX anime effects instead of real effects, Hand Destruction effects is: - Each player send 4 cards from their hand to the GY and Draws 4 cards. - If a player has less than 4 cards in their hand, they send all the cards in their hand to the Graveyard and draw 1 card for each card they sent this way. - If a player has no cards in their hand, they draw 1 card instead. (GX Anime effects)
Since Grinder Golem in Attack Position, Yubel force Golem to attack her while she in Attack Position, when Grinder Golem attacks, Yubel effects activates, Inflict damage equal of it's ATK, 2nd and 3rd effect of Yubel, she isn't destroyed and she didn't take any battle damage. Since Grinder Golem ATK is 3000 when attack on Yubel and triggers it's effects, Adrian take the same damage from Golem ATK. (Adrian 1800 -> 0)
@@rikotennyson4346Yes... But she cant make Grinder Golem attack if its on the opponents side. Its not in Yubel's effect that she must be attacked. She cheated twice this game.
@@PrimeHunter3195 it's not cheat, she already launch the attack to Grinder Golem even had 0 ATK points, when Yubel attacks Opponent Monster, her first, second and third effects activate when she attacks or get attacked, Inflict damage equal to Opponent (1st effects), Can't be destroyed by battle (2nd effects), prevents taking any battle damage by battle (3rd effects).
The decks at the end of GX were just nonsense. Yubel/Jesse somehow has a sacred beast and also crystal beast? Adrian’s is somehow Expdia and Cloudian?? How are they fitting all these cards in 40 card decks
Probably a coincidence but adrion defeated both aster pheonix and chazz, he plaued feather of the "pheonix" which places a card on top of the deck like d force and the angel card he used against the D and had back up soldier thats effect revolves around 3 normal monsters like the ojamas the art also showing 3 unique characters like the ojamas.

@@ZaratrasAnastraWhen I think about it, maybe the activation of the spell. Might have to look it up.
@@isaacwall4951 i mean Adrian cheated too so its fair. How tf do you get all 5 exodia parts in the grabe when you have to discard 4 cards due to hand destruction?

Fun fact: Adrian is never found after this
I always wonder what happened to him and echo
He either died or chose to stay in the dimension like bastion
Adrian honestly deserved what he got 💀
@@xTristan69x He likely stayed in the Duel Monster world. Everyone who was “sent to the stars” wasn’t really dead, including someone who was having heart failure.
If “he” was able to return home by the following season, I assume Adrian was free from Yubel’s prison too, but was left in one of the alternate dimensions, where Adrian would preferably stay.
@@jakandratchet9930 Probably the good ones came back
Why does Adrian always draw 4 pieces and the ritual of the ultimate forbidden lord in his opening hand the two duels he has exodia
For real 😂 bud almost instant won
He probably rigged his duel disk’s card shuffler or something
I wish I could change card effects to do whatever I wanted. Must be great being in an anime.
That’s how yubel works in the anime
@sinansakic6838 Trust me bucko. Adrian didn't beat Jaden so Adrian is NOT the strongest in GX by a mile
Actually, Yubel could have won way earlier had she used Raviel's effect to tribute Hamon and gain 4000 ATK. Then she just had to attack with Raviel.
Also, Adrian could have summoned any forbidden one monster and attack for win. Yubel only had 100 LP.
"You'll pay!"Jaden
Yubel proved him right.
Un alives his girlfriend to get Exodia. Loses first game he plays after. Doesn't get brought back to life. Never so much as mentioned again
whatever terrible fate he got is still too good for him
Kind of a bad look on Adren, he would've won if yubel didnt have specifically hand destruction
I’m pretty sure he was free from Yubel’s prison, like Jaden’s friends were once Jaden fused himself and Yubel together. But unlike Jaden’s friends, Adrian was probably left in the Duel Spirit world where Adrian intended to rule.
The fact he sold the only person who actually cared about him meant Adrian was gonna get it.
Oh that's gotta hurt 4 exodia peaces in hand and if he went first he would hsve had the 5th and final peace that's some terrible luck
Thats what he gets for cheating lololol
Honestly, this guy Adrian has a totally broken deck. I'm starting to doubt how would someone like Jaden (a better duelist on paper) be able to defeat Exodius. What exactly could he play? This is crazy.
Thats the idea, he's super over powered
Easy, hero's rule 1, which banishes all exodia cards from GY thus lowering Exodius to 0 atk and stopping Exodia from being complte.

19:33-19:34 To summon out the power of Yubel!!!
If adrian summoned his last exodia piece asa monster and attacked directly he would have won. Yubel had 100 lp left
Not exactly. The effect where he used Fog Castle to retrieve the Exodia pieces has a “skip battle phase” cost.
@@T-Wrecks13a whole turn has passed since then, he could’ve just attacked for game but he tunnel visioned on Exodia
Amazing duel with a lot of comeback and combos
Dude open with 4 exodia's pieces and the top deck is the fifth. Definitely stack his deck for sure
He 100% is but so is Yubel, having Hand destruction both times they were gonna lose
I’m honestly surprised he didn’t include the head in his starting hand. If he included the head instead of his spell card, he’d have all 5 parts of Exodia, and he would’ve won before the duel even started.
So the sacred beasts are basically the Egyptian Gods
Yep! Just slight different and a bit more evil
Degenerative god cards at that
More like rip offs
@@KMDragonSin my opinion excluding obelisk, uria and hamon are better versions of slifer and the winged dragon of Ra’s TCG versions 😂
If Yubel had adding "Fallen Paradise" Field Spell, she can be able to draw 2 cards.
Only works when fog king is attacking now when he’s attacked
Credit where credit is due, out of everyone Yubel dueled, Adrian was the closest anyone ever came to actually beating her. Every duel she had with Jaden ended in a draw, and she had Zane on the ropes, but Adrian managed to keep up with her and left her with 100 LP.
Hell, even her smug demeanor gradually evaporated the longer the duel went on while she was forced to go on the defensive before she had to summon herself to win the duel.
7:41 You mean Phantom Skyblaster right?
Biggest misplay for Yubel/Jesse not using Raviel's special ability then attack with an 11000 ATK Raviel and win earlier.
Random but I always wonder how Jesse got that outfit. From his school uniform to what he wears in the series while possessed.
adrian probably wouldve won if he had monster reincarnation instead of feather of phoenix

Really enjoyed the Yugioh GX Kai series. It's in bite-sized chunks.
11:03 I'll turn those into rubble!
Wow i didn't know Yubel ran a Sacred Beast deck, i thought they were a one and done in season 1. I realized Yubel got rid of Jessie's accent which is an improvement.
The duel was absolutely great, the thing is, why did Adrien not see Yubel watching his tells?
from my point of view Adrian made huge misplaz during his end turn he could hava ttacked with exodias leg to finish or he could used Backup Soldier at the damage step to get exodia . instant win , exodia has priority than other cards on the field.
Field spell Fog Castle prevents you from having a battle phase when you add 4 cards from the grave.
@rendezyt Oh thanks.
Still right tho he did lots of misplays
If chaos phantasm arma does 10,000 points of battle damage couldn’t he deal Adrian 6000 lP damage and win there even if exodios can’t be destroyed?
Is it possible that Adrian found the pieces of exodia? Since yugi lost his from the first yugioh anime?
Yubel got it first, then she gave to Adrian the five pieces of Exodia as a part of a deal.
She give up on it when she obtained the three sacred beast
No because Joey got back at least 2 of them
Weird how Yubel didn't bother using the Scared Beasts after this duel
18:38 Adrian could have one if he attacked with the Leg of Exodia
He used Fog Castle's effect (sending it to the graveyard) he could not have a battle phase. Here is the card's effect(Fog Castle): "When a monster you control is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard, you can Special Summon it to your field, but the Monster Card Zone the monster occupied can no longer be used. When the effect of this card leaves you without any usable Monster Card Zones, send this card and your entire hand to the Graveyard, then add 4 monsters from your Graveyard to your hand. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase during the turn this effect is activated."
18:38 can't he just summon Exodia leg and attack for game?
Here is the actual card effect of Backup Soldier:"While there are 5 or more monsters in your Graveyard: Target up to 3 non-Effect Monsters with 1500 or less ATK in your Graveyard; add them to your hand."
Okay, he had the left arm, right arm and right leg in the graveyard (freeze the video at 18:37, he has the left leg in his hand due to Break the Seal resolving) plus the fog king that got sent there when Royal sword was destroyed by Grave-Squirmer so that makes 4 monsters in the graveyard in total.

The one time we were cool with Yubel winning a duel in season 3. 😂
Find it funny Adrian gives yubel ptsd with exodia.
Not saying ptsd is funny mind you just that the thought of a card game causing ptsd is ridiculous
Imagine this though... Solomon moto (with the new exodia support and fusion) vs Adrian, who wins in terms of their exodia decks?
Probably Adrian again, his skills pushed up Yubel more than Zane, + the fact Exodius is very tanky in the anime
Technically, since Adrian used the final effect of the Fog Castle field spell - he couldn't go into the Battle Phase that turn.
The dub removed the negative effect of Fog Castle skipping your battle phase when you send it the GY for four cards.
I thought the sacred beasts were sealed in season 1?

Of course Adrian wasn't worthy of Exodia or to win. A true ruler doesn't sacrifice one of his/her own for power.
wasn’t that literally required to unlock exodia?
This is GX anime effects instead of real effects, Hand Destruction effects is:
- Each player send 4 cards from their hand to the GY and Draws 4 cards.
- If a player has less than 4 cards in their hand, they send all the cards in their hand to the Graveyard and draw 1 card for each card they sent this way.
- If a player has no cards in their hand, they draw 1 card instead. (GX Anime effects)
