I was fine playing the whole series, up until that last train scene in season 4. I fought back tears and was just so... emotional

Lee dying at the end was a genuine shock for me as I never played a game through where the main character dies.
At a certain point, I decided I was invincible and became skeptic that Lee would actually die or become a zombie after being bit. I was convinced of this up the very last moment. The realization of this being false hit me like a train. Thoughts of magically being cured and heroically fighting zombie hordes to protect Clementine were suddenly replaced by the thoughts that I didn't teach her enough, that she wasn't ready, and if she needed help, I simply couldn't be there to help her. Fantasy was met with reality (well, within the game). I bawled like a baby for days afterwards.
Because I'd seen a character from the TV show survive having their bitten leg amputated, I really thought Lee would survive. He went on living way longer than what he would have had he not had the arm chopped off. He'd have survived had it been chopped off straight away. I was also in denial, right up to the moment he actually died. I didn't shoot him because I was convinced he just needed some antibiotics. I don't know, maybe when he hacked is way through the walkers his freshly amputated arm got covered in walker guts and he got infected for a second time? Utterly heart wrenching!

This was the first game that's ever made me cry and I've been gaming for a very long time.
The game is around Clementine, maybe it wasn't from the begining but Clementine is the center of the hole story.
She is the "main character" that can't die (hope she doesn't).
That's what I think.
Well, we`ll never find out... probably. I hope someone continues the story.

By “silence is valid” I think they mean by that when one of the characters is talking about their feelings or about others and you can interrupt them by clicking one of the choices, Kenny is very good example when your in that tent and I think when you convince him to re-patch his eye, because Kenny can (would) get mad at you if you interrupt them suddenly while he talk about his feelings etc
They should've made a side game showing Kenny's journey, from where we last see him in season one to meeting him in season two, surviving the herd, getting out of Savannah and meeting Sarita.
And i know it’s determinant but depending on your season 2 ending Kenny is MIA for season 3 and season 4

Each time I think about Clem , tears try to come off... Her hat from beginning to the end in season 4 has brought an iconic nostalgic emotion in us.
Fun Fact: Melissa Hutchingson was 37 when she first voiced Clem, she's now 47 and still voices her.

This is regarding fact #17, they didn't really push the player to want to save Doug that well. Carley was a girl, a pretty one. She had a gun, saved your lives and Doug wore socks with sandals. I think people picked him out of curiosity, that's what I did on my third playthrough.

I wonder if clem still has the pic of lee. Imagine if im the end when you are looking at your collectables the last collectable would be lee's picture and AJ would say "Whos that clem?" And clem would say "Hes the one who saved YOUR life." She would say that because lee taught clem so much. #Finchatforlee
Yeah, It could depend on your choice in season 2. If you burned the lee picture and kept the drawing, it would have different dialogue. Wish they implemented that.

My favorite fact is the one where the first thing they thought for the game was Clementine.
It is so amazing and cute.
I feel like killing off lee and switching to clementine made clementine feel alot more vulnerable as a character which also made the final season ending feel more heart wrenching.
When Clementine was shooting Lee, the gun moved to the left a little before she shot. So maybe she missed, and Lee miraculously survived, which is probably impossible

I can visualize lee returning. Lee was just super exhausted when he couldn't stand up in the garage. The bite was actually nails sticking out of the board. If Clem shot lee, she just shot next to him. I know it will never happen, but still, it would be great.

I believe it could be possible to explain lee surviving. You could of course easily just say that chopping off his arm actually works and if you chose to leave him, he wakes up alive.
If you choose to shoot him, you could explain that clem misses and runs away without looking back, or that her shooting him is something she imagines and then she can’t get herself to do it, only for lee to wake up alive and realise she left with omid and Christa

This game is one of my favorites and it will always be my favorite. It helped me look at life in different ways, it taught me about emotions. Loss, regret, anger, love, and even friendship. I look at this game not only as a game, but as a companion, like I said it helped me out a lot. Also thanks for the facts, they helped me wrap my head around the game even more.

Mostly because it's an element of storytelling that isn't used as often as the alternative, and can be a way to make the ending of their character arc incredibly emotional and heartbreaking. It's risky, but if done well, it can have a lasting impact on the series and the audience.

the fact that lee made an everlasting effect on clementine that everytime she is asked about her parents, she never talks about her actual parents, it’s always the people she met on the road, especially lee.

I hate but love that lee, although he was bitten, wouldn’t give you the choice to cut his arm off because he cared about clementine too much. Although you wanted to cut it off as soon as possible, lee wasn’t worried about himself. He was worried about clementine.
Zombie is mentioned a LOT in the game. I just played it again and when you do an action involving a walker it commonly says "shoot zombie" or "kick zombie" or whatever

They actually do refer to them as zombies in the comics and make fun of that name. In the comics they use every name BUT walker, get your facts straight.

(I know that clementine takes care of aj in season 3 but it’s mainly javi looking after gabe)

AJ is a cold sociopath, Javier is boring and we feel detached from him (and Gabe), Christa was too cold. Kenny was good after season 1. Luke was fine and Omid was a fun character. Lee was a perfect protagonist and Clementine was only good for seasons 1 and 2. Since then she just solves all her problems with unthought through violence.

Gosh this is a very nostalgic game for me. I never have played it yet, as when it came out I was very young and wasn't really allowed to watch zombies movies or play games as such, so I sort of snuck around watching MANY youtubers play the game without my parents knowing LMAO. I find that no matter what youtuber I watch that plays this game, I always end up rewatching the playthroughs, more attentive to the actual characters in the game than the youtubers that played it. I'm going to buy the first season soon. Now I am so happy I got to experience a lot of the games growing up but I am a little mad at myself knowing I spoiled the whole game for myself INCLUDING the small details. I think I'll be just fine though. Lee's death was forever traumatizing to me. I remember constantly going on youtube to see if at least one youtuber uploaded a playthrough of the next episode, I was so obsessed with it.
Fun fact, in the comics when rick meets Tyrese, he actually calls walkers, zombies like 4-6 times and also I think he did with Shane a few times
