Jang-e-Malandrai 1586 Part 2, Yousafzai Pashtun Tribe vs Mughal Empire.

Jang-i-Malandrai 1586
In late 1585, Mughal Emperor Akbar sent military forces under Zain Khan, Abul Fatah and Raja Birbal to crush the Pakhtun Yousafzai tribe.
Pakhtuns especially Yousafzai never accepted outsiders and each time started war agaist them. Mughal Empire was a great power and had large army therefore Pakhtuns especially Yousafzai tribe started guerrilla warfare against them. Mughal Emperor Akbar started campaign against them led by his brave commander General Zain Khan. When he faced great resistance in Swat he asked Akbar for help. Akber sent two armies led by Raja Birbal and Abul Fatah. Once again they started their complain towards Bunir for plain area to fought a war against Yousafzai tribe but in Karakar pass and Malandrai pass they were destroyed and defeated by them.
In February 1586, about 8,000 Mughal soldiers, including Birbal, were killed near the Malandrai Pass between Mardan and Buner by the Yusufzai lashkar led by Malik Kalu Khan Baba. A tinny pass near Malandrai (Rustam) named Birbal pass after this war and believe that Birbal killed here but his dead body not founded. This was the greatest disaster faced by the Mughal Army during Akbar's reign.

This part of History is exceptionally very interesting which is not taught in Pakistani schools.The. narrator is relaying in Urdu which shame that most people in the world do not understand. I which he spoke in Pashto or English. It is fact that the Moguls and the Pashtuns did not see eye to eye. The Mogul had a profound hatred towards the Pashtun nation which you can see even today in Pakistani state who present themselves as the continuation of the Mogul Empire.
