Holy fuck this is phenomenal acting - Rey’s eyes were filled with tears but she held all of them in UNTIL he started invading her mind - Rey first made up the resolve to fight back, and later found the method to fight back; you can see the moment Kylo felt her pushing back - You can see how Rey started from just resisting Kylo, and then started tugging on a thread to enter his mind, and Kylo’s shock at the rapid, unprepared escalation So brilliant and so so smart. Makes so much sense that people get super invested in the characters, despite the shaky plot

I just saw all the sequels for the first time like a week ago and I already thought damn this is sexual af, they definitely will be a thing in the later movies. How did people not see the not so subtle innuendos and the flirting and the clear change in Kylo's tone and behaviour towards her compared to the rest. The kiss in TROS felt soo right. I can't believe so many people missed their obvious chemistry throughout the three movies and thought it felt forced.

It shows him as a flawed character, he helped kill so many people. Everyone can relate to two good people (like Finn and Rey) falling for another and making it work, but that would be too vanilla. This is SW ffs! People want to see something more than the average fairytale ending. The dynamic of a couple so opposing in ideals and thinking, where their common ground would lie, who would change to accommodate the other is so much more interesting. Which in the Ben did. He went from someone who killed their own father, destroyed the jedi temple and his own peers and friends because they didn't agree with him, did whatever he wanted to get his way, to someone who gave whatever was remaining of his life force not even knowing if Rey would appreciate the gesture or be romantically interested in him.

It's hard to exactly set up a good argument here, since this is a very subjective topic. I find Reylo very unhealthy in relationship standards. Man kills thousands, helped kill trillions, strapped Rey into a chair and entered her mind, which made her extremely uncomfortable(look at her face), almost killed her and her friends, the first thing he does when seeing her again is try to mind trick her. Almost rams into her with a Tie, commits more genocide, almost kills her on the Death Star Ruins, and then he does one good thing, and all is forgiven. Once again, this is subjective, but I'd much rather prefer the vanilla, unoriginal romantic ending, than one that is (imo) abusive and toxic.
Dr. Sidious You need great scene partners to play off. Daisy perfectly matches him. And the scenes between Rey and Finn and Poe and Finn are equally exceptional. No one person is responsible for making or carrying a film. Nevertheless Driver is a brilliant actor.
At this point the best ending to the trilogy would be for him to achieve galactic domination and rule it with Rey in a duo-monarchy and for the Jedi to die.

They really did, they are amazing actors. Lots of subtlety going on too. The way Daisy makes it look like she’s pulled slightly forward with the Force, then pushes when she starts probing Kylo’s mind, and then that little jump at the end when Kylo pulls back out of her mind. I love that small little ragged exhale he does after he realizes that Rey just read his deepest insecurities without resistance. It's a "Holy shit...what just happened?" kind of reaction and I love it so deeply because Adam acted it without a word. He is the king of subtle face-acting. Half of Kylo's character is seen in his actions and words...but the other half of his character is all in his facial expressions. Brilliant acting regardless of how you like the character.
If you go to 3:22 he let's out the first shaking breath and the second one is a barely audible horrified breathed out 'No"...... Blew my mind when I heard it just now. All this time...... Turn the volume up loud. Listen. Watch his lips also. It's actually at 3:25 but 3:22 will give time to prepare the ears. He's TERRIFIED.

Not until she sees conflict in him does she actually start to tolerate him. When she believes he hasn’t become truly evil, she starts to want to help him see the good in him. When he ends up not turning to the light, she is upset with his decision. If you’re asking why viewers him attractive it’s most likely because they find Adam Driver attractive and will find him attractive in any situation, and it’s acting, keep that in mind. And it’s not just women who think Adam Driver is attractive, it’s anyone who finds Adam Driver attractive, who will think he’s attractive.
I like them together, but unfortunately I don’t see it ending well. Either he’ll end up just becoming completely and totally evil with no chance and redemption, or he does redeem himself in some capacity and then dies. Hopefully they make a lovechild before that happens though. xD
Julia Crawford Read The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty by Anne Rice. It's basically 50 Shades meets Disney with a story similar to Rey and Kylo Ren. It's also much better written than 50 Shades.

This is one of my favorite scenes from any movie ever. It is an acting masterpiece. The way Adam portrays Kylo's gentler, subtler anger when talking about Rey's "friends". The way he holds it just beneath the surface. The teasing confident "you're my guest" and "you know I can take what I want". The smooth- almost comforting- "it's alright, I feel it too." The casualty in "tell me about the Droid". His fascinated "you still want to kill me". The way he gets lost looking into Rey's mind, letting his guard down slightly. Then losing it completely when she reached into his mind. And the little wavering breath that Adam does at the end is beautiful! And Daisy! The confidence she eludes when calling him a monster that is destroyed when he takes his mask off. How quickly she tries to regain it. The skill it takes to portray such mental torture, to show resistance! The way she struggles, the short throaty breathes and snorty grunt are so natural. Absolutely beautiful! That's why it's my favorite. Daisy and Adam have BECOME kylo and Rey in this scene. They act so naturally. Truely magnificent skill.

The helmet and the image of a strutting, confident 'dark lord'.......when he actually was a frightened confused kid. He worked so hard to hide that then Rey saw straight through him in five minutes.
He was sympathizing with her. They both were lonely, felt neglected in their childhood. He knew this so he took off his mask for her. The only difference between them is the fact that Kylo went dark.
Rey to herself: "It's okay Rey, don't be scared, just imagine him without the mask..." Kylo Ren: **Removes his mask** Rey to herself: "OH NO, HE'S HOOTTTT...."
Agree as well! The way Daisy shows Rey trying to keep Kylo out of her head, and her delivery of the line "Get out of my head!", plus Adam just making Kylo having a bit of fun as he is searching into Rey's mind. These two are awesome!
Very well acted scene! These two are great.. I love to see the small changes in Adams face when acting, it ALWAYS fits perfectly in the situation (in many scenes of the films).. he always move his corner of the mouth, his eyebrows, his nose and all at the right moment, very great mimik! Well seen when Rey says "You, you are afraid" you can exactly see how his face is moving into uncertainty, his eyes, his nostrils started to twitch, it is so adorable to see these small things in his face when he is acting..
The acting in this scene is phenomenal. They were on point here. I love Adam's small gestures and how his eyes reflect his changing emotions from one second to the other. And Daisy shows desperation to feeling anger and control. Everything just works here. One of the best scenes from TFA.

Mark M Conventions of male beauty have been feminized in this decade - small nose, wide-set eyes, long lashes, wholesome face. Adam has classical beauty - patrician nose, high cheekbones, almond eyes - but he's also extremely masculine - tall, wide shoulders, dark features and hair, basso voice, muscular, "broody", not-wholesome. My theory is that he's traditionally manly in a way that people aren't accustomed-to these days.
That "Force Dyad" thing in Episode 9 does give more justification for how the novice Rey can get in Kylo's head. If they're really bound together by the Force, then the attack on Rey's mind was actually and inadvertently a two-way connection. While trying to open her mind, he couldn't help but open up his mind to his "soulmate" at the same time.

This is one of my favorite scenes from any movie ever. It is an acting masterpiece.
The way Adam portrays Kylo's gentler, subtler anger when talking about Rey's "friends". The way he holds it just beneath the surface. The teasing confident "you're my guest" and "you know I can take what I want". The smooth- almost comforting- "it's alright, I feel it too." The casualty in "tell me about the Droid". His fascinated "you still want to kill me". The way he gets lost looking into Rey's mind, letting his guard down slightly. Then losing it completely when she reached into his mind. And the little wavering breath that Adam does at the end is beautiful!
And Daisy! The confidence she eludes when calling him a monster that is destroyed when he takes his mask off. How quickly she tries to regain it. The skill it takes to portray such mental torture, to show resistance! The way she struggles, the short throaty breathes and snorty grunt are so natural.
Absolutely beautiful! That's why it's my favorite. Daisy and Adam have BECOME kylo and Rey in this scene. They act so naturally. Truely magnificent skill.

I love to see the small changes in Adams face when acting, it ALWAYS fits perfectly in the situation (in many scenes of the films).. he always move his corner of the mouth, his eyebrows, his nose and all at the right moment, very great mimik! Well seen when Rey says "You, you are afraid" you can exactly see how his face is moving into uncertainty, his eyes, his nostrils started to twitch, it is so adorable to see these small things in his face when he is acting..
The acting in this scene is phenomenal. They were on point here. I love Adam's small gestures and how his eyes reflect his changing emotions from one second to the other. And Daisy shows desperation to feeling anger and control. Everything just works here. One of the best scenes from TFA.

Adam has classical beauty - patrician nose, high cheekbones, almond eyes - but he's also extremely masculine - tall, wide shoulders, dark features and hair, basso voice, muscular, "broody", not-wholesome. My theory is that he's traditionally manly in a way that people aren't accustomed-to these days.
That "Force Dyad" thing in Episode 9 does give more justification for how the novice Rey can get in Kylo's head. If they're really bound together by the Force, then the attack on Rey's mind was actually and inadvertently a two-way connection. While trying to open her mind, he couldn't help but open up his mind to his "soulmate" at the same time.
