- In this episode, Arin again asks Dan if they can watch Cats (2019) together, and Dan says "yeah absolutely" really quickly and then moves onto the next topic, similar to the way you would answer your mom when she asks if you did your homework, when you really didn't. It seems Dan is not really that invested in seeing Cats with Arin, and I've been doing some serious soul searching trying to figure out why. It's causing me great agony and torment, and frankly causing my IBS to flare up, which is a whole thing in itself. One cannot be blamed for daydreaming about Arin and Dan leaving that theater together, grinning ear to ear as they skip down the sidewalk singing the Mr. Mistoffelees song in perfect harmony, and maybe stopping for frozen yogurt after. When you consider the fact that Dan is a huge furry and loves to boink people in animal costumes every day of his life, it really doesn't make much sense, and you have to wonder if Dan even really is a furry, or if his name is even really Dan Avidan? It could be Fred Von Pretzels or even Barack O'Neil. There is no way to know and tbh I'm freaking out. I don't even know what to do at this point.

Jazzed Skeeter I watched it like 4 or 5 times when they still had a place to rent movies in the cashwise by my house. My mom would let us rent cheap movies and watch them on her computer and when picking out my movie, on the case I saw a picture of fairies and I instantly picked that. I honestly really loved it😂

That movie feels like insanity, and I'm pretty sure I saw a bootleg with no subtitles, but I don't think they would've helped anyway. Nothing ever seems to be fully understood by (the guy who comes to be) the main character, and the animation is so stylized in the best possible way. Totally worth watching, it's so weird

Depending on the class/how many people passed it can change a bit (so if a ton of people do really well the grades might get changed to 80%-A 70%-B, but above 50% is almost always a pass, a D at absolute worst. Which is the way it should be imo - if you’ve done more correct than you have wrong surely that means you should pass??

For anyone who's wondering (because I certainly was); Bayala is a German toy line that got an animated movie in 2019, and this game is a tie-in to said movie.
So that clears that up.

Okay, so... I've watched this video around the time it came out, but now that I've officially seen the movie, I HAD TO COME BACK TO IT. It seems the game was released on the same day as the movie (which ruins the initial assumption I got after rewatching the video, which was "I guess they released this first, maybe when the movie wasn't ready yet and therefore it's lacking and looks so bad").
Without going into much detail... for anyone who's still not sure, the player character is the main character of the movie, Surah. The blonde girl is her twin sister, Sera. (Don't ask me why they have these names, my guess could only be as good as Arin's, if not worse.) The soon-to-be-queen is Eyela, the redhead is Marween and the black-haired guy is Jaro (though he ends up barely contributing to the plot in the movie, given how he's the only male character that actually matters). And you're free to share Arin's frustration in relation to Surah not being able to fly; if it were any other elf from her kingdom, they wouldn't be able to fly, but Surah is special. She should be able to fly even in the cave. Trust me, it makes sense in context.
Things like beans and books don't even play a part in the movie. There was literally no mention of beans or books in the whole thing. I guess they're just there to make this game what it is, an unpolished collect-a-thon. I could even go as far as to assume the game probably becomes unplayable at some point, but I guess the global achievement/trophy stats don't support that thought (thank god for that).
Anyway, if you have a chance and are still wondering whether or not to watch the movie, go for it! The visuals are much, much better than the game's and I really liked how expressive the characters' movements were (sometimes to unintended comical effect, I'd say). Arin was also right on the money when comparing Piuh to Scrat; only difference being that Piuh generally has more luck than Scrat has ever had. To me, it felt like a fresh breath of air in the realm of "kids' movies that initially look too bad to be good".

Ive been watching a LOT of game grumps back to back these past couple of days and i gotta say, it fills my heart with so much joy and love when i hear dan or arin say or do something that the other one has been doing for years. I just love that they spend so much time together that they started picking up on and repeating stuff that eachother does :)
