The Stretch 2 K390 is my favorite knife! It's nothing fancy but it's perfect! Just rusts like crazy but no big deal. Have a nice New year! Greetings from Austria Europe
Ahhh glad to have more of your videos to close the year and by the way, I enjoyed all of them. Thank you for the effort of putting out content, life is not the same without a video from you and Shabazz...ergo "the Pete Shabazz effect" 🤣🤣🤣 Happy New Year for you and the whole fam. 😃👍👌🙏⚔️
Pete, have you ever tried a Benchmade kitchen knife? I haven’t, but your Spyderco kitchen knife made me think of their new kitchen knives they released this year.
Awesome vid Pete, I’d love to see a video where you go through your current top 10 favorite knives of all time, including what you don’t own, for the knives on the list you don’t own, you could just show some online photos or footage of it. I think it would made a very interesting video that would get a lot of knife nerd clicks.
Thanks for the video and update! It got off to a great start with TRC Apocalypse! I have that, Straight Spine Stretch 2 in K390 and Sandrin Torino.pretty good your favorite ten have three of my top ten! I like the LionSteel Thrill. Getting the clip away is perfect. I bought Cold Steel Grik because it addresses feeling the clip in use.. I like Bricky! Good show, old chap!
Love your content so damn much. You have brought me a lot of joy😊. Knives I been into this year: rockwall (thumb studs), neutron, stretch 2 K390, and my trusty umnumzaan.
I appreciate your use of the Broccoli Stalk. One of my favorite parts, though I normally cut it up like carrot sticks. I may need to try and track down one of those K12's that's a great looking kitchen knife.
Hi Pete ! Wish I could watch this now but gotta head into work this minute. Don't have one of those jobs that allows watching videos on the clock so will see it later. Happy New Year !!!
Bought the DBK knife (#170) & don't use it. Made a few feathersticks & the knife is pretty good in terms of performance. Even bought the kydex sheath for it as well for some reason. Just doesn't do anything for me at all. Being in the UK knives are very difficult to sell here so I'm kinda stuck with it.....
I enjoyed this video. Thanks, algorithm and - thanks - Cedric (? - someone's called you Pete in the comments - perhaps you're Pete) - for making it. Cheers!
What a great week 3 videos in one week! If you are using the stretch 2 all the time, Lynch Northwest’s Long deep carry clip really takes it to the next level for me, makes it a lot better in the pocket. I carry one daily and it’s made a difference in my enjoyment of the knife.
The TRC Apocalypse with APO finish must be the star in your collection. TRC knives design and quality is in an other league than most. Fully agree on the KaBar Space knife, that's a collectors keeper.
Pete, have you heard of Joker knives? Made in Spain, available on amazon au. Lots of models and grinds and extras to choose from. Great quality for the prices they go for. Check them out. I ordered two, their Lynx in saber grind, and the Bushcrafter in full flat. Shipping only took a week, all the way from Spain (Fedex). Very happy with them. Not easy to find this kind of quality for those prices, at least here down under.
Just learned of The Knife Joker exclusive Manix. I have never even picked up a Manix to check them out. Never realized it is in function like Axis lock! Anyway I emailed the Knife Joker to ask him to do exclusive of Spyderco Enuff 2 in Mystic Green Translucent FRCP!!!! I'm bored to tears with black knives and guns!
I've seen you hanging around the children's playground with your funny little knife. Now that I know who you are, I'll introduce myself. I'll be carrying a BR Grasso 3 and we can watch the kiddies and talk blades! Cool :)) Looks like a good start to '23!
I’ve seen a lot of negative comments about the Sandrin Torino… BUT…Not one negative comment after using and cutting with it. I love mine and the quirky red (and I hate red) handle is actually quite comfortable…. It’s so ugly it’s beautiful in it’s own way…
Aside from all the knives and the fact that this video now is over a year old, I was really confused about what you were cutting into cubes in the kitchen, the yellow stuff. Potatoes? Apples? Some Australian specialty plant? Greetings and thank you very much 😅
The Ka-bar looks cool. Now if the Ka-bar wasn't such a terribly designed knives it would be great. On the other side of the fence; the DBK is really a phenomenally designed and executed knife.
Ever thought to remove nylon section of SpaceBar sheath and adding a Blade-Tech Tek-Lok? Think the rivet holes line up the same. Have not tried on mine yet but do not have any other knife friends to ask before I try. Thanks
Pete!! Dude!! What ever happened to the ESEE 4 in s35vn? Why is it that nobody talks about it? What about the new Fallkniven f1x in elmax?, what about the TRC South Pole? Great video, the DBK knife looks sweet, remains me off the f1x. Thanks dude and happy New Year.
G'day Pete, just catch'n up on the last 3 vids mate. Fantastic content ..... as usual, and sincerely all the very best to you and yours for 23. Btw; man .... thats some serious gall wasp. Unca Randy never ceases to amaze, bahahaha. These new fangled air fryers are mighty good I reckon and like those inserts to reduce the clean up. On the knife front; so pleased to see a fine design from a fellow Aussie getting a guernsey. Not sure a knife would actually be a desirable tool in space, ...... som'thin to "patch" holes I would have thought, and I'm guess'n in the event of alien attack, the ol' k-bar aint gonna make any difference. I can see why you love it, possibly the best collector blade of all time, to date anyway, lol. Cheers Duke.
The space Ka-Bar would actually perfectly fit people working on the sea, fishermen, marine enthusiasts or people on a sailing journey...if not also used as a diving knife..
Hei Pete, What about your Axes? Do you still use the Fiskars x7 or the Cold Steel geng hatchet? Could you elaborate a video putting them head to head? Have a good one!
It's full tang but we made it skeletonized to create a better balance. We'll do a reaction video on Joe X this thursday. I think it did really well for an elmax blade so i was really happy with the video
I didn’t know you are part of the tacticool club. That Russ came out half open straight out of the pocket. With a little bit of practice you can get your pants and thigh slashed like a hard core inmate. 😅😂
I live in Aus - for most of us, if you leave shoes outside yes checking for spiders is number one and in some remote areas scorpions. Snakes are less likely in shoes - big gum boots possibly. Snakes are more likely hide in areas such as wood piles, sheds and garages - esp. if you live near bushland. Like anywhere, give a nature a little respect and you're unlikely to experience any problems. Take care.
awesome video! Very honoured to be on the list and your kind words! 2023 starting with a big smile!
This is still my absolute favorite knife (and non-knife) channel. Please keep making videos. Don't care if they are about knives or not to be honest.
I'm a little disappointed that as this is an award show that you didn't put on your tuxedo
Fair dinkum mate ....but for an Aussie...wearing a clean, ironed t-shirt is about as good as a tux and bow tie.....no worries mate ....its all bogan 😉
That is his tuxedo.
Isn't it the summer and hot as balls there?
@@aceman1126 technically ovaries are hotter. Balls are cooler because of the scrotums drop down method. Ovaries are body temperature
I love it when strangers tell me about their favorite things. Brilliant extreme usage footage as well. Fun for the whole family!!
Many thanks, your videos helped polish this turd of a year, making it more bearable, and that is the real gift of some YT channels for me.
A new video 2 days in a row? Someone's feeling frisky 😄. I'm loving it, keep up the good work Pete.
I love the barely effective restraint of laughter while explaining the space force
Mine was him doing the bushcraft boys theme song
He messed that up, but funnily enough I do that music to myself or outloud all day everyday, especially at home!
Thanks for bringing bricky out, Pete I have the K-Bar space force knife because of you. I just had to have it. Happy New Year.
2 new Cedric & Ada vids in my notifications this week, BEST WEEK EVER :). Happy New Year Pete and Menagerie.
My favorite TH-camr back with a second video in a week. Woo-hoo! 2022 is going out with a bang!
My favorite Christmas gift? New videos from Pete!🎉
Must be so fun having the holidays during Summer!!!! Especially New Years Eve! Gosh!!!!!!
DBK knife looks great. The MBK Field Trekker is similar and is one of my favorite EDC fixed blades
I agree! I'm sure glad he has this one and resisted offers to buy it away from him. I feel that would be a regrettable mistake
The Stretch 2 K390 is my favorite knife! It's nothing fancy but it's perfect! Just rusts like crazy but no big deal. Have a nice New year! Greetings from Austria Europe
YEAH!
You may be the most self aware and yet unabashedly un-ironic man on the internet and I love ya for it. Keep up the good work! :)
I can’t get enough Brickey. Can he have his own channel?
Nice touch leaving the mouse click on the final “2023” dub. 😄
I'm surprised the Creely Mako in magnacut didn't make the list. Been lusting after one of those since you reviewed it.
Pete, have you ever tried a Benchmade kitchen knife? I haven’t, but your Spyderco kitchen knife made me think of their new kitchen knives they released this year.

I think it would made a very interesting video that would get a lot of knife nerd clicks.
Thanks for making your data available👍
You introduced me to some really cool knives I wasn't aware of, thanks! Excellent group of blades.
Have a happy new year!
You're a mean one, mr Brix...
Happy new year!🤗🖖🪷🍾🌈🪬🧿☮️
I love pocket knives for almost no reason, I try them for food but the victorinox paring knife slaps too hard for the kitchen tbh.
Love your content so damn much. You have brought me a lot of joy😊.
Knives I been into this year: rockwall (thumb studs), neutron, stretch 2 K390, and my trusty umnumzaan.
Always wanted to grab that TRM neutron just can’t justify getting anymore knives trade ya. Definitely wanted to check out that DBK blade as well.
Differently an interesting selection of knives that are used across all uses.
The red G-10 folder is so unusual evennon knife people want to call dibs on it! I think it has so many different and good things about it!
Nice vid great choices I love my k390 stretch it’s a great knife and that’s the only knife I own on this list
😂 the dbk bit was killer. Happy new year Pete.
Doo doo Dooo dododo dooo
HAhuahhaa
I appreciate your use of the Broccoli Stalk. One of my favorite parts, though I normally cut it up like carrot sticks. I may need to try and track down one of those K12's that's a great looking kitchen knife.

Happy New Year!
Such a good music choice for the Stretch 2. It captures about exactly how I feel about mine. 9:25
Thank you sir i have enjoyed your channel for the past couple of years i hope to see more in 2023😁
Bought the DBK knife (#170) & don't use it. Made a few feathersticks & the knife is pretty good in terms of performance. Even bought the kydex sheath for it as well for some reason. Just doesn't do anything for me at all. Being in the UK knives are very difficult to sell here so I'm kinda stuck with it.....
DBK! Sell it to me! Of you don't need it anymore.
Stretch 2 in K390 is amazing!
Bricky should rule humanity
Good job DBK dudes 👍👍🥳🔥👏👊. I was wondering about that Sandrin Torino too . Now I know , thanks .
Happy New Year Pete ! ( My favorite YT knife guy.)
I own a lot of your knives man !
From another Pete in Alberta , Canada.
I enjoyed this video. Thanks, algorithm and - thanks - Cedric (? - someone's called you Pete in the comments - perhaps you're Pete) - for making it. Cheers!
Happy New Year! I hope next year I'll see as many as I've seen this year or even more. Thanks for this channel.
What a great week 3 videos in one week! If you are using the stretch 2 all the time, Lynch Northwest’s Long deep carry clip really takes it to the next level for me, makes it a lot better in the pocket. I carry one daily and it’s made a difference in my enjoyment of the knife.
I never can get anything I'm looking to buy made by Lynch NorthWest.
@@ssunfish what are you looking to buy?
Love my Bark River Mini Aurora in 3V as a fixed blade edc. DBK made by TRC
The soundtrack proves you're a madman! ;) Fun vid, thanks~
The TRC Apocalypse with APO finish must be the star in your collection. TRC knives design and quality is in an other league than most. Fully agree on the KaBar Space knife, that's a collectors keeper.
Happy New Year

I had to get that sandrin knife too. The red one. I love it. Stays sharp
Nice song choice for the Space Bar 😂
The Evolution continues...look forward to next year’s video.
Just learned of The Knife Joker exclusive Manix. I have never even picked up a Manix to check them out. Never realized it is in function like Axis lock! Interesting assortment ya have there Pete!
I feel like you missed a category - your most reviewed knife of the year: the Spyderco Endela, because the thing about potatoes is...
Loved this video - thanks Pete! As a bit of feedback, I also think the sheaths for fixed blades have relevance re. how often they get carried/ used…
This is a good point.
Great hat
Thank you for some new content 🎉
That Alex Dron knife is handsome!
That trc apocalypse is worth every dollar. So bad ass!
Any plans to get your hands on a demko? Very curious on your thoughts
I've seen you hanging around the children's playground with your funny little knife. Now that I know who you are, I'll introduce myself. I'll be carrying a BR Grasso 3 and we can watch the kiddies and talk blades! Cool :)) Looks like a good start to '23!
This is all in fun my friend! Happy New Year! Regards, Chuck 😇
Excellent list! Happy new year!
"You have chosen... wisely"
Fortune & glory Pete, fortune & glory : )
Surely you have a darth Vader helmet to go w the space force knife.
Like the stretch, but love the police 4
All the best for the New Year mate.
I've checked that Spyderco kitchen knife, it's discontinued unfortunately..
I’ve seen a lot of negative comments about the Sandrin Torino… BUT…Not one negative comment after using and cutting with it. I love mine and the quirky red (and I hate red) handle is actually quite comfortable…. It’s so ugly it’s beautiful in it’s own way…
its a particularly different and refreshing knife to have in even a crowded collection
Aside from all the knives and the fact that this video now is over a year old, I was really confused about what you were cutting into cubes in the kitchen, the yellow stuff. Potatoes? Apples? Some Australian specialty plant? Greetings and thank you very much 😅
Happy New Year Pete
No love for the bark river bravo 1 Lt in magnacut?
Come on Sal and Eric, where's our Stretch XL LW in K390? I need, I need! 😍
It is truly a shame that Spyderco is not making Chef's knife any more.
The Ka-bar looks cool. Now if the Ka-bar wasn't such a terribly designed knives it would be great.
On the other side of the fence; the DBK is really a phenomenally designed and executed knife.
Ha ha . . . you're my favorite reviewer. A real user.
I love that Esee is now making knives in S30-series steels.
We have to talk about the esee 4? It's an esee 4. End of story
Kabar space force knives was a joke that turned collectable and I love them too.
S-tier music snippets
That CID theme from ff7 hit me hard.
G'day Pete, just catch'n up on the last 3 vids mate. Fantastic content ..... as usual, and sincerely all the very best to you and yours for 23.

The space Ka-Bar would actually perfectly fit people working on the sea, fishermen, marine enthusiasts or people on a sailing journey...if not also used as a diving knife..
No it would suck in all of those roles. It’s fragile and made a steel that rusts extremely easily
Keyboard warriors of Space Force need knives, too!
Hei Pete,
What about your Axes?
Do you still use the Fiskars x7 or the Cold Steel geng hatchet?
Could you elaborate a video putting them head to head?
Have a good one!
11:00 would've thought a knife reviewer would know how to hold a chef's knife ;)
I have a question joe x discovered that the dbk knife is not full tang is that a one off or is the complete range the same does anybody know ?
It's full tang but we made it skeletonized to create a better balance. We'll do a reaction video on Joe X this thursday. I think it did really well for an elmax blade so i was really happy with the video
I didn’t know you are part of the tacticool club. That Russ came out half open straight out of the pocket. With a little bit of practice you can get your pants and thigh slashed like a hard core inmate. 😅😂
Where did you buy that sandrin in Australia?! This was the first pocket knife I ever wanted
Bricky got some sass.
The brick looks like a cinnamon toast crunch square
What? no swimsuit competition? hahaha==happy new year Pete
love your use of undertale music lol
TRC Apocalypse is my best 2022
Quality 🤣✌️
Once thing I learned today: you only eat broccoli and potatoes.
Do ya reckon the Russ is worth the pre order?
Bought myself the Helle Nord 😒 for an expensive knife with a $35 knife finish , you might say I’m a little disappointed
Do you have to check your shoes for scorpions over there ? And snakes 🐍
I live in Aus - for most of us, if you leave shoes outside yes checking for spiders is number one and in some remote areas scorpions. Snakes are less likely in shoes - big gum boots possibly. Happy New Year! Well, for me it's in about 30 minutes...
