Seeing the difference between me - a low level Storm - and the way Eskay plays her is night and day. The coordination you can get with a full team trying its hardest is insane for her burst potential and I never would have considered it being mostly a casual player.
S0 Storm Lords assemble! She was already broken if you knew how to play her. But glad the buffs are making more people play her now and realize how good she always was.
I agree. I decided to try storm before the buffs and she was actually more fun than I thought. Basically with the team up ability active, she was a better Palpatine form swbf2.

ppl saying "its now broken" are just suffering from placebo effect, like the buffs arent even that big and they act like they had a rework, these character just had a specific way to play them and diffculty rating was a bit off.

There is no problem with sexualization in the first place. These are superheroes, with superhero proportions and superhero outfits. Sexualization =/= Objectification.
Yeah was maining her as my go to DPS, if your teammates healed you etc you could pull off some great plays. Tho she really did need the projectile speed increase since it was really easy to dodge her bullets.
Probably cuz she felt wwayyyyyyy to slow without it. I hated how she felt all of season one even tho i really wanted to main her. she feels amazing now.
@kami3449 I know. But because of the increase attack speed it doesnt feel like your just playing the slowest character in the world. Both her movement speed and attack speed were slow previous. Now it's just one which does a lot for how she feels

The simple answer is that a lot of high level players have a lot of play in time (in both ow and rivals) and are thus not really reacting to any new stimuli. They see something, know what it is, and they respond accordingly. If this is your first or one of your first hero shooters (as it is for many people) everything is new and terrifying. You may hear an ult voice line and panic because you have no idea what it does, and your ability to think of a counter for it just completely disappears. It’s kind of like how games like getting over it and Celeste are super emotional on you first play through. The falls feel more devastating and the successes more triumphant because everything is new, but in subsequent playthroughs the falls are more tolerable and your successes are less of an adrenaline rush because you’ve experienced all of it before. Also she’s confident in her mechanics; that helps a lot too.
Storm looks so cool in this game. And very very pretty as well. I might make her one of my dps when I eventually play the game. For now I live through videos.
That Invisible Woman is more faithful than my own wife. That constant shield uptime is insane. That poor girl's neck must have been sore from staring up all game.

oh man i just started playing her today in QP and shes so much fun. Also i think there was a squirrel ult with the Mr fantastic ult bouncing from your team that did some work that could be a crazy team up
I've been thinking of Storm Wind Form E or Goddess Boost to where the allies get speed boost and the enemy gets slow debuff. I think this is good to combo with Squirl Girl ultimate, Hawkeye or Hela to aim head shots, Black Panther to do his combo, Peni ultimate, Iron Fist punching fast, and many more.
Yes she is much better, and when I play Thor and we get a Storm now she owns, but I cant climb with her, she needs an actual team, not saying not solo queue, but you need tanks in front, healers etc.When I get that I own even as a noob Storm but you rarely find that climbing again.Maybe when I get back to platinum I ll try again but then I ll feel like I am throwing due to few hours played on her.I still feel she needs a buff to her own speed.She has so many counters.At least Iron Man can shift and run away.Oh well at least I know Storm better than "its just a button you press" for the team up lol, did 3 games, went around 33-2-11 in all.
SAME. I love her, but she is by far the most time-reliant hero in the roster. If your team sucks, there's literally nothing you can do. You can't carry (really) with her the way you can with most other DPS where it's like if you kill the enemy constantly then you'll win, but that's not her utility. I keep getting SVP and losing lol but when the team is at least okay we win.
Yeah, she's good except she's a squishy that's meant to be near the front / middle of the team, and has no movement / escape ability outside of her ult. Switching to tornado mode so you can float slightly faster doesn't really cut it. If you have a good team that consistently heals you, it's not as much of a problem, but otherwise if you take a bit of damage, you're going to be slowly floating to & from a health pack for a while.
She is better at fighting Ironman now because she can outrange the laser with her wind blasts, and if he closes the distance to laser her she can do her lightning storm if it isn’t on cooldown. I might give her the slight edge in a 1v1 be IM now which I didn’t ever think would be the case
Ironman can't give a speed/damage boost to his entire team. That alone makes Storm a much better pick for comps that stick together and benefit from it. Her damage boost allows a Hela to 2 shot as if she was never nerfed, which is a nightmare for Ironman to deal with. You gotta stop thinking about direct comparisons and 1v1s and consider the overall strategy with rest of the team because that's how you win games.

Storm was already extremely good before the buff. But after the patch, and a few tier lists put her in S tier, suddenly everyone is playing her and thinks she’s good. Just goes to show how easily people are pushed to play something because a TH-camr told them to do so, I was leading most of my lobbies with Storm before the patch, and now after she might actually be broken, which is not good for the game as a whole imo. People should just play the hero they lil and get good with them, and stop worrying about what the meta is or the TH-camrs say

Hopefully this doesnt catch on in the US Servers or bans are gonna be annoying spending them on witch / Punisher

If youre not afraid of a witch then you havent met someone whos not braindead... They had a punisher? guess he was sitting in spawn then because there wasnt a single instance where he has ulted, used turret to defend chockpoints or even created an off-angle... the other team didnt dive in the backline the only one that tried to actually create an opening and btw suceeded in easily killing and disrupting the team was dr. strange... just a shame that his team wasnt on the same IQ level and just gave up from the start of the game

@@Vampirzke I’m on EU, and there’s very little difference, you’re overplaying this. Storm is just a decent character now with a coordinated team. This game isn’t rock paper scissors like Overwatch. Edit: Also about Witch, her skill ceiling is incredibly low compared to most characters. She’s slow, floaty, does TICKLE damage, and her ult is the slowest, most telegraphed dogs*** ult in the game. She is terrible. That doesn’t mean you cant have people that are good with her, you can be good at any character; she’s just, in general, very easy to shutdown in comparison to pretty much every single other character.

Really its the projectile speed buff that makes her so good now, before you had to lead your shots making getting consistent dmg a lot harder

I wish her aura wasn’t visible to enemies, it makes it quite hard to sneak up on the back line.
That would be broken low-key, but try to use speed to sneak its least noticeable. Then go damage boost😊
It’s very easy to hide that. Just fly higher. You don’t have to fly that high to make the aura tiny.
The problem with fanservice isn't the sexualization, is that it should have more man (thanks devs for Venom bbl)

I find that the majority of players sit understand storms abilities. So many attack with her speed buff on while her attack buff is way better.

storm speed is even better than lucio speed cause it slows enemies its actually crazy
Invisible woman made it easier because of the shield heal other than that you pretty much understand that her primary pierces

Storm has been stealing/ trying to steal MVP from me every game (in Dia1 atm after reset). Shes a menace. Like 40 kills every game
