I have been serching for close to a year now to find a rebuild kit for the VXL 380 size brushless motor that came in my E-Revo VXL Brushless 1/16, but it seems there is no rebuild kit available to rebuild these motors. So my rc has had to sit for over 8+ months now & can not use it till a rebuild kit becomes available from Traxxas one of years when they feel like getting around to doing so.
@@NBRC The ball bearings is only part of what I need, but I still need a replacement end with new motor wires. The ball bearing in the end of the motor cap is seized up & I cannot find that replacement
@@NBRC The ball bearing in the motor cap piece is seezed in & I tried pounding it out with a punch & hammer but the outer bearing race is still in the motor cap. I ended up ruining the motor cap trying to get the outer bearing race out. The motor cap & ball bearing rebuild is the parts I need. But like I mentioned before, Traxxas does not sell the motor cap for the VXL 380 brushless motor & I have no possible way to rebuild the VXL 380 brushless motor so I can use my E-Revo VXL Brushleess 1/16 vehicle.
im going to sound crazy but hear me out , those bearing last a very long time from the factory once you remove them and put new ones or oil them or grease them when it's done on time and not when its too late, you start with 0 once again meaning they have 100% lifespan while, the motor might be in his 60%life left so instead of spending $30 or $80 or $127 for a high quality bearings ones i just buy a $30 brand new motor and call it a day that thing will last you one again 2 or 3 years of use and when its time to upgrade if the past engine its still good youll hqve a spare engine for some other prohect of yours.
The motor at that time wasn't old, it was just 3 or 4 months old. In Europe whe don't have the traxxas warrranty like in the USA. The store provided me with a kit (with some discount) to repair it. Normally bearings hold up way longer then 4 months. I have motors here that are 4 years old with a lot of use in them and they are perfect. I just made this to let everybody see it isn't difficult to repair these.
Nice! Always enjoy a relaxing maintenance/build video... brings me back to watching Stacy David on speed vision back when I was in high-school
thx appreciate it

@@DTW-bx2vy to bad .. then you have to buy another motor
My motor locked up do you think that’s what it is?
When the motor locks up , that can have more then one cause. Open it gently and then you can see what the fault is.
