Hi Coop! Haven’t seen your content in probably more than a decade. You’ve been one of my favs since I was in junior high. Kinda forgot how much time has flown by since you released your vids on the first line of n-strike elite blasters (retaliator, rampage, hail fire, etc). Glad to see your still around. Keep entertaining the next generation. Take care man!
It is always a fun day when coop uploads.I was actually thinking of purchasing this but was hoping coop had a video on this, now there is so I can make my decision.
30 seconds of holding the blaster and I knew that Coop would refer to the Doomlands series. And I bought it purely for the look, just like the Desolator.
Love your reviews man! I eventually got this blaster and did notice the priming issue. However, if you're willing to open it up (and trust me, those tabs are crazy hard to crack open) you can take the priming piece and increase the gap a bit with a small dremel and it will prime like a charm 😁
After quarantining for a bit, i went to a nearby target and saw the eagle fire. As a big fan of the Alphahawk, I was extremely tempted in getting this blaster. After watching this video I definitely want to get this blaster even more now. I didn’t know that slam fire was a feature on this blaster. I would absolutely love to use this in a nerf war as a replacement for my alphahawk. While the alpha hawk has that pop out cylinder and sniper aesthetic, the rate of fire is what bugs me. While I’m not much of a fan of the looks of the Eaglefire I would prefer the performance over the appearance any day. Thanks for the review
Thanks Coop, during the pandemic I gifted all my attachments and modded retaliator to my nephews. I am getting the itch again and picked this up for plinking. Thanks for the review!
I just had to fix one of these, the problem was the failure-to-prime but it is not caused by a short-stroke or failure of the plunger to catch at the back of the prime, it is a failure of bolt-handle system to CATCH the back of the plunger to begin with! If you take the blaster apart (black handle piece is clipped, the rest comes apart easily via screws, there was no glue) you will find that the internals are largely contained in a plastic cage that keeps the plunger aligned. The plunger is pulled back on either side by a tiny nub of plastic that catches on a corresponding tiny nub on either side of the priming 'sled', but the plunger piece responsible for this is actually separate from the plunger rod itself, it pivots and there was no spring system used to keep it positioned to catch and be pulled back. I added a piece to the plunger rod to keep this catch in place and now the blaster primes reliably every time. A 2nd note, the placement of the foregrip area is idiotic. On the Alphahawk (which I consider the predecessor to this blaster), the extended barrel shroud provides foregrip area ahead of the rotating turret. On this blaster, the foregrip is inline with the front of the darts and the turret, so unless your hand is very small then it will encounter the darts and turret and hamper rotation. The only way to use the blaster effectively is to keep your hand off the foregrip 🙃 On a 3rd note, the 'scope' has distortion lenses in the rear and especially in the front with silly cross-hairs, it is impossible to see through which means my kids hate it and will only use the blaster with it not in place. Besides those gripes, it looks cool and I (and they) really appreciate how thin it is compared to a lot of older Nerf blasters.
I literally searched this up on ur channel before and it didn't come up and now u have done a review. Your channel is amazing and had saved me lots of money 💰 keep up the great work p.s. love ur hair
Honestly if you ditch the attachments and saw off the stock this makes for an excellent sidearm. An 8 shot cylinder blaster practically the same size as the strong arm. This suggestion might be for more performance oriented players, but it’s still something to keep in mind

I saw this at my local super market and thought it looked pretty cool, so the first thing that came to my mind was: let’s watch Coop’s review to know if it’s good quality :)
I was watching this review 2 seconds I got the blaster in real life. My emotional response to this… Coop’s said there was a priming issue, but I found it perfectly okay and doesn’t jam.
Personally i think a low capacity cylinder is good because it's faster to reload than a high capacity cylinder (assuming they're both empty, if a 40 dart cylinder is missing 8 darts then it's the same as reloading an empty 8 dart cylinder) And while it's quick to reload with a spare mag, it's not quick to reload an empty mag by itself Love the review coop!
I feel like if you could find a solid spring for it and cut off the stock, the easily-removable charging handles and easily-accessible cylinder could make it a decently competitive secondary against other springers. I also wonder if a stronger spring would help virtually resolve the issue of the bolt not catching, because it would provide more feedback for you to be able to differentiate between a full and an incomplete engagement.
I saw this thing in the store yesterday. I was looking for 2 years now for a decent nerf sniper that actually deserves this name. Even though I already had the nerf echo, I bought this beauty of a blaster immediatly.
