- Oh goodness we've made it! We're home just in time before Hurricane Dorian strikes. The kids missed us and boy oh boy we've missed them. They are in full play mode but Khoa and Keren are so jet lagged they take turns napping. Khoa actually cries during his first nap because he's so happy he can lay down. Keren cries after seeing a painting of herself. We're all crying. Enjoy!

That painting is a great visual reminder that mothers are the center of thier childrens universe. The Earth that grounds them and provides nourishment, mental and physical and the sun that helps them grow big and strong. Mothers are powerful beings. Fathers are special too, not discrediting their contributions. It's just that mothers literally provide their children with everything they need until they are earthside and then fathers, siblings, grandparents, aunts and uncles etc all help to raise them.
