Between the poor production and streaming issues, I cancelled it when the bell rang in the last round of the Tyson/Paul fight. I scrolled through their content and couldn't even "Pick 3" things you like for it to make suggestions for me. No thanks...
Worst boxing judges of all time. Called the first fight a tie, gave a win to a girl who underscored other fighter and who headbutt at least 4 times, and main fight was pathetic. And terrible streaming quality the second they showed any fight footage. What a crappy event.
This fight was absolutely scripted. Added to which Jake Paul will never fight a mid to top tier, active boxer as it would bring his circus crashing down. He is a disgusting little pr!ck who only challenges retired fighters, many of which MMA fighters, not allowed to use their full skill set. They have countless concussions, countless surgeries and tissue, ligament and joint issues. He is gross on every level. He is truly Joaquin Phoenix’s character from Gladiator.
He fought Tommy fury who is a d list boxer in his weight class and lost. So that's already happened but for some reason people worship jake paul and keep cheering him on
Almost active could beat tyson. He lost it a long time ago. It's funny, tho, that you abhor Paul, but have nothing ti say about the rapist. Paul is kind of an ahole, but tyson raped a woman. One on annoying, the other is worthless trash

The build up with Tyson smashing the heavy bag, beating the speed bag and dancing around the floor like the old days had to have been pure deception just to sell tickets. He shuffled around the ring, no aggression, no speed and no power looking like a seventy year old learning how to box . He was a remanufactured and nothing like the original. I wouldn’t waste my eyeballs on another fight with him in it.
I 100% agree with your assessment although I don't think the dip in netflix stock would last long. My cellphone could watch the show with some buffering but my home internet was useless and both were from same company.
When I was a kid, the Evander/Tyson match was the talk of the town, all over Sports Center, etc. I watched this fight this morning (yeah, I saw a five hour run time and skipped right to the actual fight; no buffering problems at 5 am EST) and all I could think was 'why is this 20-something fighting this nearly 60 year old man?' I felt bad for both of them, but at least Jake was polite and Mike didn't take an ear off.

I remember everyone laughing at me and calling me crazy for saying Jake would dominate the fight, even my own Dad thought I was crazy. Just shows 99% of people have no idea what fighting actually entails. They just see a legendary name like “Mike Tyson” and automatically think this near 60 year old man is still his 20 year old self. This outcome shouldn’t surprise anyone.
@ LOL. Tyson looked feeble, fragile, elderly, slow and wobbly the entire fight. You are in next level cope mode. The only thing this fight proves is that Father Time remains undefeated, yet again.
I mean Paul did the smart thing, played it safe the first few rounds until Tyson ran out of gas and could no longer offer a surprise. I do think he was pulling his punches though, out of respect or scripting. I doubt he wanted to be known as the guy who humiliated a elderly sports legend.
I finally turned my Nvidia Shield and TV off at that time, and finally was eventually able to continue watching on my tablet with minimal drops & stalls. Which was probably appropriate, considering that the Main Event was unworthy of the big screen + surround sound, compared to the prior fights.
HBO was the king of broadcasting boxing in the 1980’s to early 2010’s! How is it with analog technology, broadcasting live sports events was less complicated? By the height of Manny Pacquiao’s pinnacle of his fame in boxing, problems started to occur with the outreach of broadcasting infrastructure. Modernizing to high speed fiber optic cables connected to server farms while still using shielded copper cables, networked switch boxes, broadcasting hubs satellite dishes, and aging satellites in orbit around the planet. One thing some streamers commentating during watch party’s, were forced to do, is utilize VPN’s individually, to change their Netflix region server in hopes of getting a better feed in another country, and still experiencing major buffering issues!
How come no one is mentioning how the fighter in the first fight starts humping his opponent in the corner. That was disgusting, he should have been immediately disqualified.
If Netflix are like this after a few more live events then a bit more pressure will mount on them. First time out they would have expected several issues. Let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater.
Id be interested in knowing how many Netflix subscriptions got cancelled last night, its got to be a huge number considering this was streamed globally
It comes from the antiquated mindset that sports packages sold cable TV bundles in the 90’s and early 2000’s. I doubt that still holds true today because peoples viewing preferences have changed. The NBA, NFL and MLB brands have suffered a lot of damage. People’s habits have been conditioned to catch the inevitable highlights on social media. Anchoring these unwanted, unpopular streaming networks to sports probably won’t move the needle on subscriptions because the number of raving lunatic sports fans just ain’t what it used to be. To be honest they’d have better turnout licensing college sports, especially divisions with less visibility.

You could see the co-founder staring at the fight in disbelief 😂
Netflix blew it with the Live “Love is Blind” reunion last year. They haven’t had a live reunion since.
Yeah, because it's obvious that Tyson got paid to throw the fight.
@ LOL. Tyson looked feeble, fragile, elderly, slow and wobbly the entire fight. You are in next level cope mode. The only thing this fight proves is that Father Time remains undefeated, yet again.
@@Digitalph33rsuperfanyou obviously no nothing about boxing if you believe this was a real fight kid...it was all acting and planned.
@@roadstar499 what a tragic little guy you are 😂
I mean Paul did the smart thing, played it safe the first few rounds until Tyson ran out of gas and could no longer offer a surprise.
I do think he was pulling his punches though, out of respect or scripting. I doubt he wanted to be known as the guy who humiliated a elderly sports legend.
The stream was bad. Missed half of the women's fight and the ring official stunk.
Coming from the HBO and showtime era, this was atrocious 😮💨😮💨😮💨
Netflix should be embarrassed and rosie Perez give me a break who wanted to see her give her opinion.
Jake stepped on Tysons Toes, that's why Mike slapped him .
Anyone else feel like they were watching a Naked Gun film when a very serious Tyson walked away with full cheeks exposed?
This is why you do stress tests before the event, not use the event as the test lol
How come no one is mentioning how the fighter in the first fight starts humping his opponent in the corner. That was disgusting, he should have been immediately disqualified.
This turned into a 3 hour commercial for Comcast cable service....and they didn't have to pay a dime for it.
Idk what everyone expected was gonna happen when a 60yo man was in the main event.
If Netflix are like this after a few more live events then a bit more pressure will mount on them. First time out they would have expected several issues.
Let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater.
I’m glad I didn’t waste my time on this fake boxing match.
Netflix might as well have put the WWE logo on this fight and Micheal Cole providing commentary , it was little more than a worked shoot.
Best fight was the women
We have banned cock-fighting and dog-fighting, but we still think it's "sporting" to have human-fighting.
