Just got this game and it’s legit the most deeply layered game I have ever played. Despite the number of deaths the way you can get on top of an environment and even turn the tables on the predators is unbelievably satisfying. I get why Turtle toad is still dropping videos years after its release, easily one of the best games I have ever played!

I love custom regions so much. it impresses me that the Rain World community learned from their experiences in other regions and created their own custom regions. truly amazing
I saw in Lime’s video that there were creatures in cages in cold storage. Perhaps they were freezing them to test on them? Then you see the rot later on and Lime commented that they could’ve also tried this on a Daddy Long Legs/DLL, but it got out of hand and spread? Who knows!

I have to agree with you, after playing this I was not disappointed at all. Some of the brine water sections were a bit frustrating (especially since wormgrass-like deaths are my least favorite way to die)

You would shrivel up in an instant!"

Heyyaaa!! I just downloaded Aether Ridge and I'm currently playing it, but there's no threat music and there seems to be threat music in your playthrough. I was wondering if you did something specific to get that to work?
Hey, how do you go about confronting enemies? How do you know if you should run away or engage- and if you do the latter, when to back off or continue?
If an enemy is in an inopportune spot (such as above you or in a tight place where your chances of getting a spear stuck in a wall are high), I usually back off. If I do engage, I fight to the death unless I somehow lose all my spears. An exception to this is vultures, which I usually ignore entirely until they get close or are in a spot where they couldn't fly away easily.

If you have the custom regions mod installed and you saw a black screen, try reseting progress from the options menu
