Congratulations on your sparky brand new home🎈🎊. When I was your age I was clueless about finance. I thought a checking account was only for people who made a lot of money. Every time I got pay I would purchase money orders. The fee for acquiring a money order could range from .75 to $3.00. . I was paying a fee to pay a bills instead of earning interest in a bank. I was a single mom with two boys living in a dilapidated building a lot of time with no hot water or heat. My sons would asked me “Mommy why can’t we move out of this building to a nice house?” At that time I thought that could never happen. I finally got my own beautiful home at 65 but if I would have had your vlogs at a younger age, my sons would have their own home to grow up in. You are a great inspiration to all especially young single mothers. Wishing you many years of abundance and great health to you and your son. You rock young lady!

I think we all come away from your experience with different things and for me I think it is so important that you showed your son that you would and did deliver on the dream you laid out for him ! We so often make promises to our kids that we don't deliver on and that shows them that we can't be depended on when they may need us most . Okay, so I cried when I saw it the first time, but that shot of James' face when you first told him and he hugs you says it ALL!!! So much hard work an thought went to this project. We built our dream home mortgage free and still after 25 years still love it. Good for you!

We used to live in a bigger house but the kids spent all their time on the other side of the house and we never saw them. Ours is single story now. It’s cozy😂

Ok. Soooooo I've been following you and I use your budget system for 2 years now. I've watched every one of your videos...some of them even 2 to 3 times. I skipped this one due to the title. I thought oh, I already know she's saving for a home. Thinking, that won't happen for a few years now. Something on Instagram you recently posted made me think, did she buy her home already? I think we all come away from your experience with different things and for me I think it is so important that you showed your son that you would and did deliver on the dream you laid out for him ! We so often make promises to our kids that we don't deliver on and that shows them that we can't be depended on when they may need us most . I for one refuse to promise anything I am not certain I can deliver on no matter how small .

Okay, so I cried when I saw it the first time, but that shot of James' face when you first told him and he hugs you says it ALL!!! It truly shows how hard you worked and how you made two dreams come true!! I am beyond proud of you and so blessed to have found you because now my own dreams are on the horizon. I used to think I'd be in debt for ever. Living on credit cards and watching others 'make it' while I sat by. Now I know that I can do whatever I want because I'm in control. I can be successful. I can someday buy my dream home (in retirement). Granted, the property I want is $37 million, but you know, you gotta dream big...LOL Congratulations again!!! I cannot wait to see James' fort!!!

So much hard work an thought went to this project. We built our dream home mortgage free and still after 25 years still love it. Good for you!

What a moment when you revealed the house to your son, I cried too! 😅 I went the route of building my own dreamhome on raw land, and experienced all those unknowns you are talking about, which in the end gave me a higher mortgage than I predicted in the beginning. so, thats why I´m a part of the TBM family. 💕Single moms on any salary should dream big - and work hard - go after what you want! We finally decided to build because most homes on the market right now needed a lot of work. We are spending nearly 500k with no land. monica dominguez I wanted to know that too. I think I would buy a house that big if my mother and sister moved in with me. But we are a family of 4 in 3,000 sq feet and it feels just right. We used to live in a bigger house but the kids spent all their time on the other side of the house and we never saw them. Ours is single story now. It’s cozy😂
My first thought seeing that house was: „The cleaning will be a pain ****“ 😂
