Nice video! It's insightful to hear your thought process on general strategy while you play, then adapting specific strats based upon how your opponent plays in real time. I know that's fighting game 101 but hearing the explanation of why you're doing specific things helps me understand a lot.
just fyi rank data, customs etc. are stored in C:/Users/[your username]/AppData/Local/TekkenGame so you can make a backup of it in case you lose it, some people might say it's tantamount to save scumming but honestly I view it as just dealing with Bamco's incompetence, if they'd implemented online ranking properly it would be stored online and corrupt save data wouldn't be an issue 🤷
Good points. Certain ranks are more skilled in other things but at the end of day if you have an high i.q it helps a ton. A lot of the lower ranks go off feel and maybe a couple rely on combos also. But not punishment or movement
Movement is useless in low ranks. More often than not the more you try to move laterally vs those players you're just going to get hit accidentally by someone mashing and it realigning and hitting you even without tracking on the move.
I’m orange rank got to genbu fell straight out 😅 to be honest I play hwoarang and I’m 100% one of these aggressive dumb dumb players. I focus a lot on whiff punish launchers but rely way too heavily on back 3. My defence isn’t near good enough like I barely block snake edges unless they are being spammed but if that happening I will eventually punish with ws 3 or a parry combo but it’s not enough yet to progress and I know it. This gameplay proves it my losses are close and I’m getting beat for the stupidest reasons like being hellsweep juggled on wake up and keep side rolling (just press 3!!!😅) or worse getting beat by a lower rank mirror and losing to uf444 d3 snake edge like proper moron level stuff. But this is the month I tighten up my defence mix up my wake up game and learn wall Enders get smoother movement for better whiff punishment. Work on different punishes not just my 16f launcher. Currently got broken hands as well…arthritis or carpal tunnel it’s been 2 months of pain but it’s fucking with my sleep so less tekken and doctors appointment next week then focus on progression. I wanna be ruler ranks by Xmas and fujin by tekken 8 😂 buuuuut 🤷♀️
Damn man you make me wanna play leo again, i stopped because KNK loop was too hard for me. I mastered lee's b2s but KNK is 100x harder imho... Very good video btw, so chill and educating!
You can also try this method, record the game then replay the matches with commentary, it's more work but it lets you focus on the match. Either way even with no commentary i'll gladly watch you Leo vids

I wanted to do it like that at first but then I thought maybe it would be more interesting to explain my strategies while things are going on, without knowing the outcome of the matches. I did the same with Rank Rush #2 and #3 coming up but i'm definitely using post-record commentary for something else ;)
