Joseph says it doesn't matter how much money comes his way, he will always be available for Test cricket for the WI. That makes him already a legend in my opinion. What an impressive and amazing and grounded young man. And Brathwaite is so impressive as well. These two men of quality augers so well for WI and Test cricket. I am so impressed by both of them. And both referenced how proud they were that they did this in front of WI greats such as Lara, Hooper and Bishop. Just magic. So impressed by these two wonderful young men.

I am so proud of the whole team. As a fervent West Indies fan, I had hope that we could win in Australia, but stats ans reality had me thinking that it was just a dream. Waking up here in the UK and finding out that the team had actually won this 2nd teast has made my day. Listening to the two young men, gives me belief that our team can be level headed ad not believe that they have arrived but are on a journey. Their next stop is England, where I hope that they can continue that journey. Congratulations goes to all the players and staff out there in Australia, who believed in themselves and never doubted.

The strong teams have to help Windies develop and keep their players doing international cricket. Its important for all the test countries. Look at AFL (Aust Football League) as example. The strong clubs like West Coast, Essendon Collingwood Adelaide pay a tax fundamentally that goes towards helping the bottom sides with less supporters pay for their costs and be competitive. Same principle should be in place for test cricket.

@@richardwilson6545 No worries. You are correct though. Although Clarke was very good, he was still erratic, at least at the test level. Nevertheless, he scared many batsmen with his hostility and speed and was probably the most feared West Indian bowler ever. He excelled in FC cricket, taking 942 wickets at an astonishing 19.42 average. I also left out Walsh. Can't forget him. Bish was also great but he was in the following generation.

@@dmvbay2535 the Best was MARSHALL, the most fearsome was HOLDING - I'm showing my age but I saw him in 1976 at the WACA - I kid you not Keeper - Derek Murray literally was so far back he could turn around after each ball and grab a drink from the crowd over the fence. HOLDING bowled a bouncer there that went over the keepers head and 1 bounce into the sightscreen which was attached to the boundary fence.

@@richardwilson6545 ok, I'm not as seasoned as you are but I follow cricket keenly and my father and cousins all told me stories of the Greats in the 80s etc. I've been to many matches in the 90s and 2000s. Met Chanderpaul, Lara, Gayle etc. My cousin has said that while Holding extracted fear within the batsmen, it may have had to do more with his extended and exaggerated runup than with his pure pace. Don't get me wrong, he was extremely fast but I've also heard that Clarke, conversely, had a very short runup and bowled blindingly fast and brutal. Maybe they just didn't know what to expect from him lol. Plus he whistled while he bowled so maybe that had something to do with the fear. Who knows, lol. In any case, I would defer to your extensive knowledge and experience in this matter. I am looking forward to young Shamar and hopefully he can be part of the movement to help propel West Indies cricket to where it used to be.

Shamar looks like a school boy, he looks so young. It is so gratifying and rewarding to see the fight, courage, determination, dedication and sacrifice everyone made. It was a total team effort, batsmen stepped up, fielding, catching was great and very supportive to the bowlers, and then Shamar; to play injured, to put that aside and sacrifice it is beyond words to exemplify his remarkable performance. I hope this encourages the West Indies cricketing board to put in place all the missing things to continue to find and develop young talented players; which the West Indies have. I hope this is the beginning of the come back for West Indies cricket. And most of all the leadership of Kraig; our West Indies Team Captain.

Now to all future Test Cricketers, especially West Indian hopefuls and the West Indian Cricket Board this is what we want to see going forward this is the type of player whether he / she is a bowler or batsman. An attitude like this in a couple more players and then we really become consistently competitive again. All the while remembering succession planning because we do want/need to be # 1 again. Yes Little Island People with our main land (South American) Brothers and Sister remember the Great Years and want it, need it again. CariCom and West Indies loyal citizen and fan FOREVER.
