I'm a trainee and we are just hitting graduated bobs. Very impressed with your take on this cut. I really like the video, easy to follow and the result is clean and precise. Also, it was so relaxing listening to you. Thank you!
Jesse: I absolutely LOVE this dude. Sam, you knocked it out of the hairdresser park adding him to your artistic team; wonderful teacher, born to teach!🦄👍
Jesse, I would like to see more of your teaching. You have a very good teaching style. It's so much easier to comprehend, than others. No fu fu your just down to earth, clear + patient 😊🦋👍🕊️🌴
I appreciate your take on this cut. I’m in cosmetology class and the technique I’m learning is different. This method eliminates the tendency to drift or waver causing that weight. Maybe when I graduate, I’ll get to use this technique! Thanks for sharing! 💇🏻♀️
I've tried this cut and I'm struggling! It looks soo easy but mine doesn't look te same. I would like to master it! Thank you for sharing your knowledge! It's awesome!
Great instructional video! 👍 Thank you 😊 Best one I’ve seen in a long time! Love your method of cutting & the end result of this bob cut looks amazing!
I am so happy i seen this video today I was trying to find one. I did a client today this haircut and it came out awesome. Thanks so much Technique is awesome
beautiful. and this technique I love it. It's safe and has more control. But of course. the shears are awesome too. It also was very well explained. I understood and was able to see all the angles. Thanks a lot!!!!
Hi, I'm not a hairdresser, but have recently discovered Sam and he is wonderful, such an informed, educated, patient teacher. First time seeing Jesse and what a lovely guy, very calming when he speaks and teaches well too. I love the inverted bob though, wish you guys could do my hair, I shall dream for one day 😍
at about 1:12 you can kind of see the first areas he sectioned. There are 4 areas. Divide at center, then at an area we call the horizontal transition which is where the back of the head changes shape and becomes more of the profile :-)
When i was in cosmetology school i always cut my skin toward the palm. You make it look so effortless, can you guess what i was doing wrong when cutting?
he's extending slightly beyond the guide as the elevation is 90° in relation to the headshape. it's not enough to create disconnection but its important to as the graduation is being done horizontally. the elevation of 90 keeps this cut seamless without a harsh weight line to blend afterwards. extending the cutting line slightly beyond the guide ensures that the vertical shape is triangular therefore building graduation.
Thats definitely one approach. This is just another option and will create a softer finish. We believe we should share as many options as possible and each hairdresser can discover what works best for them and their clientele... no good/bad right/wrong :-) Totally respect your opinions though!
Not everyone sees things the same way as you... its okay to have different ways of doing the same thing. If the original way works for you awesome! If this way helps just 1 stylist then that's awesome too!

Good things to remember, Thank You , Your a Good Teacher .
Sei bravissimo, bellissimo taglio 👍👏👏👏
Tranquilo incrível, muito obrigado por entregar um novo tutorial
Hello, I am a Barber/Stylnig student and my question is since your taking 90 degree angles wouldn't this be a uniform layered cut and not graduated?
Pure brilliance
love this
interesting i am going to try it
Superb! 👏👏👏👏👏
Where can I get the head stand.. love it
Do you position your fingers straight or should they be diagonalAlso all the parting lines diagonal or straight across
How many sections did you start with? Four or five?

Fantastic 👍

Are you cutting pass your second knuckle? It’s a rule of thumb not to cut past second knuckle:)
Stunning ♥️ 😍
Show , Parabéns , explica bem detalhado, vc corta todo o cabelo com Tesoura Dentada ? 🇧🇷🇧🇷
Thank you! Love this! Would you extend past your guide all the way up the back of the head?
Yes you can! That will just build a bit lower weight line
What did he do? He didn’t mention that part? Thx
Great technic
TY!
So nice 👌❤️🙏
Perfect for thick hair!
Hi, it won’t work on fine hair ?
Can I gi d all the tools on a website
You sure can! www.samvilla.com
2:30 90 degree angle
Extending past the guide? Not a good idea. Instead of 90 degrees cut it to 45 degrees. U can always soften the weight line afterwards.

great explanation Jessica!

Why are you making such an easy cut look difficult, the classic was is so much easier lol
If its easy why do so many of us get crappy bob cuts? Mine wasnt even.
Just people not taking neat small sections and rushing through it I guess x
