If you are not a Cosmetology teacher; you need to be. Seriously !! I've watched 4 other different "instructional " vids on this Bob. Yours is THE only one that made sense and broke it down to an doable level. Thanks for posting.. .. Please make sure your BF is outside or elsewhere for your next video. Thanks again.
Very good and detailed step by step guide. It also made me realize, I cannot cut my own hair into an inverted bob. I cut my own hair into a straight bob as I have thin, fine hair; and almost every hairdresser I have went to has done a bad job because they treat it as if I have normal or thick hair. I like that your model had thin hair also, you did a wonderful job! Every time I call to make an appointment, I ask for someone who is skilled with thin, fine hair and they always say all their stylists are. Not helpful and not true. If anyone has any tips on finding a stylist who works well with thin, fine hair, I would appreciate it. No offense to stylists who are not, I get it, it’s challenging! It’s also challenging for clients with this hair type to find a good stylist.
You killed it on the tutorial. Awesome explanation and display of technique. This is better than a dozen others i've watched. Not to mention, those dozen were presented by so called pro's endorsed by a large product line. You Rock !!
Thanks for doing this video. My daughter is 8 and has autism so I cut her hair because it's easier than taking her into a loud salon. I like her hair to look cute and this is the cut I stick to. Thanks for breaking it down like I'm 5! Lol. I needed all the details!
Thank you very much for the informative, down-to-earth and easy-to-follow tutorial! I’ve never cut someone’s hair before, and I followed this video (with slight modifications) to give someone a trim. It turned out really nice! ☺️
You made look so fast and easy. 👍 I had my hair Recently cut this way . Or not! Clearly, she needs to go back to school. I was so upset when I walked out.
Looks very cute, and you do a great job! I would absolutely love to have my hair this way, but I have natural curly hair that is pretty curly and it does what it wants to do, not what I want it to do! I would have to blow out my hair every day, and I have such a hard time doing it myself. Plus, I have lots of health problems (I’m on disability because of them), and don’t always feel like doing much of anything to my hair! But I really love this cut! Very, very cute! Thanks for sharing!
Gorgeous cut I wanted this and my hairdresser wrecked the back with thinning scissors! went back she "fixed" it and used the thinners again and now I'm having to go to someone else hoping he'll be able to fix it xx
Oh no! I know there are some stylists out there who sometimes do what they think is best and not what the client wants. Hope your hair turned out well!!
Are you still cutting hair? I just found you and this haircut is awesome - GREAT job! I live in Dallas and don’t know where I could find someone to give me this cut!
You jumped quite a bit at 7:26 before the crown area. I would like to have seen next section above name cut,.. Question, why when you were at right side of nape did you not continue to layer like previous section? I liked it, but just wondering why extra steps? Thanks.
I'm a student and I'm just starting but when you cut the hair at a 45° your pulling the hair at the 45 but are your fingers also at a 45 or just straight up and down?
You definitely can do this as a dry cut but your lines may not be as clean/precise as if you cut it wet and then style it and then do your final touches. Atleast in my experience. Hope this is helpful :)
U could, most of my clients with long hair want to donate it so I put their hair in a loose hanging pony tail and cut that off then go from there but it really doesn't make much difference cus once you cut your hanging length the excess length will be gone and you can move on to your layering. Hope this answered your question :)
Great job this is a beautiful cut!! The man talking in the background is very irritating 😠 if he wasn’t there this would be a perfect video! Cheers 🥂 I think I love your channel other than the guy!! Lol 😝
Its.just.viølet The chair she was sitting on wasn't adjustable so I couldn't raise her up like I would be able to in a salon so I had to sit to be parallel with her head
Sangeeta Sahai ...I beleive it would especially if you leave weight towards the bottom of your hair which would give you an overall more symmetrical look. If you have what is called a heart shape face you want a style that will bring attention to your jawline such as a strong angle in a bob but maybe not inverted. Just straight across. Hope this helps
Honestly I'm not sure... I think a lot of schools/teachers use different terminology and I haven't heard of that specific cut, but like I said, it could simply just be another name for it.
without being able to see or feel your hair the only suggestion I would have is to invest in a good straightener or learn to round brush under to help lay straight. As far as the cut a stylist might want to thin out your lower section with thinning shears to remove some of the weight.
Very Nice!!! These styles are making a comeback!!
The best of all bob cutting videos i have seen on youtube. Thank you very much for your efforts to put this up.

Ashley Ann Baker it did took the hairdresser an hour to fix it!!!
Fab tutorial. Very understanding and you don't rush. Thanks👍
Very good haircut but one question is cutting hair in kitchen good idea?
at that time I didnt really cook lol and with a one bedroom apartment you work with what you have
Love it thanks, but wish you would have showed how to cut the bangs, cause this is the part I have trouble with!!!! Any on there video on that? Thanks

is that recommended for thick hair? if not, what haircut fits people with thick hair?
Awesome!
Great job! This is definitely a tricky cut to do
Thanks doll! I appreciate that :)
If the guy in the background would’ve shut his fat mouth the tutorial would’ve been much better.
Great teaching skills! Thanks for sharing.

Love it and btw you are so beautiful 😍
I'm a student and I'm just starting but when you cut the hair at a 45° your pulling the hair at the 45 but are your fingers also at a 45 or just straight up and down?
Leslie Lazarus you also want your fingers at a 45 degree angle just like the hair to get that nice stack/tapered affect. :) hope this helped!
Love it!!
I am a complete amateur and I wanted to know if I could do this with already flat ironed hair???
You definitely can do this as a dry cut but your lines may not be as clean/precise as if you cut it wet and then style it and then do your final touches. Atleast in my experience. Hope this is helpful :)
this is beautiful! wow
Thanks babe!!!! xoxo
She already had bob cuted, what if you cut long hair into this...do you need to cut one lenght bob and then do all these steps or...?
U could, most of my clients with long hair want to donate it so I put their hair in a loose hanging pony tail and cut that off then go from there but it really doesn't make much difference cus once you cut your hanging length the excess length will be gone and you can move on to your layering. Very informative

Hi.... I havea fuller, oval face with broad forehead will Bob cut suits me??
Its.just.viølet The chair she was sitting on wasn't adjustable so I couldn't raise her up like I would be able to in a salon so I had to sit to be parallel with her head

You should try to do a bunch more hair cutting and colouring tutorials. Really helpful!
im a student , we learned a cut called one length decending is this that cut?
Honestly I'm not sure... I think a lot of schools/teachers use different terminology and I haven't heard of that specific cut, but like I said, it could simply just be another name for it.
Thank you. Liked. Subscribed :-)

My natural curl tries to poof on the back sides of my hair and I need help in controlling it to lay straight! Comments of suggestions appreciated!
without being able to see or feel your hair the only suggestion I would have is to invest in a good straightener or learn to round brush under to help lay straight. As far as the cut a stylist might want to thin out your lower section with thinning shears to remove some of the weight.
Isn’t this like a concave bob
wish I had you to cut my hair. the person talking in the background was very distracting from you though.
+Annette Krueger yeah that was the boyfriend lol I have my own space and no more chatty ppl in the background :)
:)
Thumbs up for you and thumbs down for annoying background.
Beauty
You are great at showing a step by step haircut. That guy in the background was so disrespectful.

Loved the tutorial but heard someone on the phone speaking over you the whole time.
