Hi Chris, have been catching up on some of your older videos. So many interesting ideas and techniques to test out and play with. It’s so good to be able to see you “live” so to speak. I can get into a creative groove with your explanations with fewer disappointing blunders to contend with. Thanks once again.
What fun at how tickled you get when you find a new technique. That's how I get with each of your videos, Chris. Discovery is so exciting! TFS. From Cheryl in AZ
So delightful to watch your videos. I am really getting a kick out of the way you process or develop your ideas. So calm really. Sometimes I think being goal oriented jeopardizes creativity. I need to slow down for some Developmental sessions. Often I have a thing in mind and go 20 thousand miles an hour. So this week I’m going to slow down enjoying the process more. So thanks. Lol
I think that they are at the back of most crafter's cupboards. 😄 If you add a little mica (Perfect Pearls or whatever) you can get a little shimmer in the mix...which the Nuvo Shimmer powders have in them already! Thanks so much
Another inspirational video, so nice not to have new products constantly pushed at us. Another tip for your gelli plate (Jo Rice Lavinia Stamps) is to put your gelli plate on a piece of perspex or large acrylic block, gives more control. Love your have ago style, and your 2" of desk space left at the end😆 Ex
I love the cards you make . Clean and simple are my favourite cards . Could you please show how you make the cards with the beautiful images you make . Thank you for sharing so many tips and tricks
I’ve been waiting with bated breath for your next video and it was so worth the wait. I just love the way you explain every step in such a simplistic and easy to understand way and your cards are just the best. I too am learning so much from you and what I love about card making is the thrill of new techniques. Changing the subject, I’ve watched your videos about downloading images and adding text to cards. Unfortunately I don’t have Word on my IPad but it is on an old laptop, which we haven’t used for years as we thought it had had it. Anyway I decided to get it out of the cupboard and see if it was definitely no good. I plugged it in and not a lot was happening. Anyway I left it for a while and when I went back it was doing some updates, which looked promising. I then handed it to my husband (whose laptop it is anyway) but unfortunately he couldn’t remember his password. After trying different ones he managed to get in, so things were moving in the right direction. Sorry for the long diatribe but the long and short of it is that I can now have a go at downloading digital images and add more possibilities to my card making. Thank you so much Christine for explaining how to go about this and I’m so looking forward to having a go xx
Thank you for sharing your story, I also have an old Windows laptop (I have changed to a MacBook & iPad) I am going to try to get the old laptop (my husbands) working. Your story has given me hope as I also would like to use my Nitwit digital collection that I am unable to use with my Mac. Thank you again for sharing & thank you Christine for your video's they are so informative and very helpful. xx
@@barbaradawson410 Hi Barbara. I’m so glad you found my story helpful, as I did go on a bit, and I really hope you manage to get your old laptop working again. Happy crafting xx
Love your ideas! Never would of thought to use the shimmer powders on the gelli plate then just randomly cut the butterflies. Brilliant and gives the die cuts some interest. TFS 💖
I love your channel and I also follow you on Facebook in the clean and simple card group. I just bought this butterfly die based on all the beautiful things you have done with it. I am not sure I would have ever have figured out how to use it except for your absolutely fantastic explanation! Thank you so much for your inspiration with every card you make.
Love and admire the cards you produce! I’ve noticed that you get quite a few of your supplies from companies in Europe and US. Do you incur additional taxes when these arrive in the UK please?
I have had to pay customs a few times on shipments from the US and so know to avoid those companies in future. it's not just the duty, but the handling charge which makes it expensive. I've not had to pay duty from European countries to date...there are online UK businesses where we can purchase US brands.
Hi. Nice video to watch and an adorable card. I don't know why I can't get any sound for it though, I noticed no-one has mentioned it in the comments so lord only knows what I've done to mess up this time.😂
Thank you Chris for your fantastic videos. I’m learning so much from you and I appreciate you sharing your vast knowledge in a way that is easy to understand. I’m wondering what the difference is between Nuvo shimmer powders and Mica powders? Could you use mica powders in this process?
Thank you and there’s one way to find out… have a go! I think that the Nuvo powders have more vibrant colours than things like Perfect Pearls, but there’s always more than one way to skin a cat (as my old mum used to say) not that she’d ever skinned a cat! What a dreadful thought!
I love your enthusiasm and humor. I think I’ll have a go as you say and see what happens. Do you have to clean the gelli plate with anything? Thanks again!
@@cindyswain8094 when I used my Gelli plate with the blue Nuvo Shimmer powder, there was a residue which didn't come off with a baby wipe, so I used a little surgical spirit on a cotton pad which cleaned it beautifully. I wiped it over afterwards with a baby wipe.
@@Chrissieannie I just had to look up 'surgical spirit' and Google had two definitions: 1. rubbing alcohol. 2. Surgical Spirit TV show 1989-95...made me laugh. Thanks for all your hard work. I agree with Robyn M. who wanted to see completed cards. Please do not think about the time it takes to do all steps, etc. in your videos. We can speed up videos, but we cannot include all the steps you exclude due to time constraints. I can take days to complete a card...so I always wonder how long it really takes for folks like you to complete all steps involved. May God continue to bless you.
I could have used my glass craft mat to mix the colours of the powders, but I couldn't turn that upside down and see what is happening to the dispersal of colours for the print... With the Gelli plate I can!
@@Chrissieannie Yes that's a plus. I've seen several demos of using gelli plates and thought about buying one but I honestly don't think I'd use it very much. I'll have to have a rethink. Thank you Christine.
Don't know how I missed this video but it was wonderful, lots of tips and you always make it easy to understand and enjoyable. Thanks Christine.
You are so welcome!🦋🦋🦋

When you say beautiful images, I'm not sure exactly what you are referring to... It's it some of the backgrounds?
Really like this..especially how you make windows to preview your cuts. Thanks
