Sweet beautiful lost Arizona reminds me of my 3 acres in San Tan mtns. 20 years ago. There is no comparison once experiencing the openness
That generation was much tougher than we are now.

Thank you for sharing the history
I always like the history you put into most of your video's. I get to explore the dessert with you thanks..

Ty✌
Very cool story. Really enjoying the vids
Love this channel
Those sand roads seem to be a problem. I couldn't pull over in my dad's last restoration an Oldsmobile because I was sure the tires would drop into the sand and I'd never get out. And on those sharp gravel roads radials steel belts heat up, and BLOW. bE PREPARED.
Been here several times , other hunting cabins in the area , Wilbanks cabin ,
Some of your links are out of date. Thanks for the info, might go there someday.
AWD would be a great feature, and packing TWO spare tires and repair kit and air.
Is it off Hovatter road?
Haven't been there in a few years. Good to see it is still in good shape. Sad story for sure.
interesting seeing the saguaros lining the trail ... that CAN'T be natural ... nice vid!
you answered my comment right after I posted it ... lol
No, certainly not. It's mentioned early in the video that Barbara was interested in botany and responsible for the relocation of the saguaros. 😀
I would like to accompany you guys on a trail. I have a drone i can bring and have a 2016 4Runner.
Sweet. What kind of drone do you have? I have a Phantom 3 Pro. but wasn't able to fly inside the refuge.
holy cow ! very tragic.. the hovatter family was a very loving and together family, looks like to me... ..happy trails...
very interesting! is it illegal to camp out there with a 4x4 RV...? i mean under 14 days. can you get in trouble (bad ppl etc)? What happened to the 2 daughters? thx
Thank you
Good video. I have been to the Hovatter site, but somehow missed your video. Excellent & informative.
Is the parcel for sale, (in 2021)?
Sure it is. Better yet, I have some swamp land I'll sell you for real cheap.
This is a nice video. The only thing wrong is that Hovatter is pronounced with a long "o" sound like Hoe and the short "a" sound like bat (like "Hoe-vatter"). Thanks for posting it.
Ahh -- thank you for the correction!
