Nice to finally get to see you stay the night at the cabin! Sorry you had a rough beginning with the temperature, but glad it worked out in the end and you were able to get some sleep. Really enjoyed getting to see a lot more of the surrounding hills and woods around your cabin, and it was nice getting an update on the dam! Great idea using your coat as a window cover. You don't want any peeping Big Foots looking in on you while you're sleeping!
That was a very enjoyable video a beautiful hike in and I really enjoyed your overnight stay I know everybody including myself been waiting for your overnight stay in the cabin I couldn't help but laugh when it got really hot in there it reminds me of the Summer's here it gets like 120 Fahrenheit here in the summertime here where I live off grid have you ever thought about doing any fishing videos 😊🔥👍
Nice trip ! Always nice to get out in the bush :) You need to put a bigger round in the stove for the night it will burner slow & last longer " Cool storage shed at the back of the cabin :)
Great video. I really enjoyed it and I hope you will do more videos like this. Keep on trying with the hunting, I know you will get something. Take care and have a good one.
@northernwoodsman yeah it does. I'm in construction and I saved old lumber that we tore out that would've went to the landfill and reused it and built my outhouse at my camp. It worked out handy for me. But when I build an actual camp building I want to use logs. I own a small pine plantation in ga where my camp is. That's my game plan. Love your overnighter video. Inspires me to get busy on my own place.
Have you considered a simple bucket composting toilet instead of a long drop in an outhouse? That's what I have done at my cabin in New Zealand. It works great! I have a small building right beside my cabin with the composting toilet in it. It just uses a bucket and sawdust. The bucket is in a seat that I built, and I have another bucket with sawdust in beside it. There's almost no smell at all and no flies, and you can have it right close by. Add a little sawdust each time you use it, and then empty the bucket when you leave the cabin either into a hole you dig, or into a compost heap you have with a lid on it. After doing it this way I would never have a long drop/hole in the ground again. You can see how i did it at about 7:20 in this video: th-cam.com/video/Ty16bKsZxOQ/w-d-xo.html
You didn't say much about the firearms. Is that a bolt action shot gun? Gauge? I know that is a 1877 Colt. Yours is in .41 Colt, not .40, as you mention in the video. I own two 1877 Colts in .38 Colt. Do you find it durable enough for outdoor use? They have a reputation for being delicate.
Pas une super expérience ce dodo au camp 🥵. Petit conseil, coupe la partie de ta poutre centrale qui dépasse la tôle où se trouve ta cloche à l'extérieur sinon elle va pourrir jusque sous la tôle.
👏 finally you made it....The night at the cabin 👌 thank you for this great video. 😉👍

It was really hot but I made it work :). Nothing worst then a big hairy monster looking through your window at night.

Excellent film. Have you ever made a film showing how you made your cabin? I think it looks terrific and I’d love to see how it was built.
Not step by step but I have a few where I talk about it
@@northernwoodsman thanks for responding. Keep the films coming.
thank you for sharing 👍👍👍
glad you did a overniter, nice ,keep up doing that. enjoy.
Build another log structure for your outhouse. That way the only planks you'll need is your floor and roof sheeting.
Yeah, but that's alot of work. Selection, felling, de barking, cutting, placing and securing all take a crazy amount of time.
