@@gordonanderson3111 : I don't think this is Sara's regular band - it seems to be an all-star, specifically female group put together for this occasion only. Alison Miller, for example usually plays pop music with Brandi Carlisle, and jazz with her own and various other projects.

she used to have that and it sucks how much the music industry has changed a lot of singer songwriters like her are under appreciated now these days. i think she was gyped at the 2014 grammys she should have won the grammy for album of the year with The Blessed Unrest that allbum was so incredible

Better, she did not get here by ancestral inheritance, yet by hard work and talent.
She does not seek to rule with absolute power, yet to thrill with brilliance.
That 3:29 mixed belted note with vibrato and vocal Control as well as a balanced bright tone was my entire life in the form of the word “comes”

Wow. A big call I know, but maybe one the greatest live performances of all time and one of the greatest songs ever written. Sara is the bomb ... the whole deal. Very clever lyricist, the voice ... and an absolute sweetheart ... and funny to boot ... and this all female band? WTF ! The mix, the lighting, the whole package ... brilliant. So much talent on this stage. Yours sincerely; An ageing male music lover. Those thumbs down? ... sorry, but you have no idea, and no ear or heart for brilliance. Maybe its guys who don't like, or get the message?

Yeah, this whole performance was somewhat confusing. She bragged about how the recording was SUPER minimalistic. One piano, one drum, one bass, one vocal. No guitar or organ. So she comes out and performs it with organ guitar and TWO drummers?!
Also, to the earlier comment: The record wasn't a loop. That was a full performance.
But that's not to say I don't like this better! I thought the production was a little weird. This sounds more full.
Check out "How Far We've Come" by Matchbox Twenty. They did the two drummer thing and it worked out pretty well. One drummer did more "percussion" type stuff, while the other focused more on the back beat.
@@EponineReads came to say exactly this, if people saw Faithless live they do all that music live, yes, God Is A DJ and Insomnia with bass, drums and synth and vocals, no loops or samples. Analog sound will always have a special feel.

And the guitarist is playing a St. Vincent guitar.

Pretty impressive for a one-off performance. She creates a nice "Tori Amos" vibe on this song. Her live performances are not to be missed!!
