I’m 55 with degenerative disc disease from years of bad posture playing the saxophone. You guys are a lifesaver. Literally. From the bottom my heart, thank you 🙏🏽
Thank you so much both. Doctors for your great advice we Muslims pray 5 times a day part of our prayer is to stretch on the floor for head on ground it really releases anxiety and relaxes our bodies thanks again
Brilliant, thanks Brad and Bob and Mike. These exercises really help someone like me who had a recent accident and fractured two vertebrae and injured my neck. This covers everything for me☺️ and alleviates pain so well.
Very happy with your tips on how to stretch to improve body mobility and feel much better and flexible. Muscles are more relaxed. Also feeling much more comfortable when rollerblading (yes seniors can also rollerblade) In short; the proof of the pudding is in the eating! Thanks
Thank Bob and Brad for your useful information. The more the Merrier,I do stretches above my shoulders Blade, Stretches side ways,Front wards,50:100 Squats. My Body is flexible at 62yrs.Dr.visit Healthy and No meds thank God.
Just saw this. Prayers to him. "Bob (the tall one) has been diagnosed with Ataxia. It affects his balance and his speech, but does not affect his thinking. We appreciate your understanding and support!
There is no doubt that all of you provide the correct posture for the pain as well as tons of encouragement (much appreciated)! My only request is, is there another name you can use for the highly useful "prayer" stretch? I know of only one group that prays in that position----male Muslims, and when I think of Muslims in Europe, my muscles tense up. Sorry to be such a depressive force, but you guys are much smarter and imaginative than I am. Surely you can come up with an alternative name! I'm thankful for your wonderful advice that relieves pain!
These are great! My physical therapist recommends the angel stretch using a swimming pool noodle, cut to the length of your back. Maybe an option for people who don't have or don't like the foam roller. I've also seen a modification for the rectus stretch using a strap looped around the top of the foot if someone can't reach their ankle with their hand to pull the leg back, especially if it is causing knee pain.
These are great. I don't have specific joint pains, but I have been very sick, lost a lot of weight and muscle mass - these seem great as part of rebuilding my overall health.
No more exercises on the floor !!! Thanks for the 'prayer ' stretch sitting down . Much appreciated. (Though not a position of prayer for many of us ! )
Thanks again all of you ! Please be careful if you use a household mop or broom . I had an incident with a rubber broom where I was sweeping, and the metal stick suddenly broke in half and “bit”, or pinched my finger - I had to have 17 stitches. I did not realise the handle had rusted inside. Regards pat in Plett rsa
Great stretches! I have many problem areas due to injuries over the decades. I’m happy to see I do most of these stretches. Glad to see them all in one place. Saved and shared. Thank you so much! (BTW: I’m ordering your workout bands with door anchor. They look great and I love how everything is included in the package)
we want Bob back, said down with with a letter board making key points (even if it it just (the tall one!) am hoping can still use the pointy stick Brad in charge of here! all the best to you both for ‘24
Brad❤, you always give the Best Explanations for each exercise, alignment, how long to hold and standing ( since most of us do not have a massage table😮😉). Put Mike on the floor next time‼️😆🤭
Never thought i have something in common with Dr. Ekberg..not being able to stop myself once i start eating Ice Cream.. thank you Doc for being so honest...
Thank you for another incredibly helpful video that helps support senior health. I look forward to watching more of these types of videos! Mike, you are doing such a fabulous job! So glad you joined the team! It’s a pleasure to watch you! ❤ Much luck & good wishes to Bob and I’m always grateful to Brad for sharing his wealth of knowledge!
i'm a 74 year old active senior i walk, bike, golf and bowl and not currently in pain but i'm gonna try and put these into my routine. i wish i could get my wife to do also but can't get her motivated, any suggestion on that because she does have a lot of pain and pills.
I'm in my fourties, and unfortunately my job has been overstressing my body since forever ago, I do have these pains frequently, and it's a little incapacitating... I did the two for back pain, (I fortunately have a tall bed with "orthopedic mattress," and then I went to play with the cat for a little bit. Now lying down again, I feel more of the tension, and less of the pain, so I think it's working. I'll hold on to that table.
