  • In 2021 I did a lecture podcast on stream about Time Dilation. Time Dilation is the idea that when we travel close to the speed of light, time slows down for us, and everything and everyone else ages faster. In this recording, GatorStumps explains popular ideas of light-speed travel in movies; versus how Einstein explain it in his Theory of Relativity. I explain with slides and images how the math works, why time slows down at the speed of light, and the "twin's paradox." I even do an example of what traveling to one of the nearest stars would look like.
    *There are a lot of references to and spoilers of to the movie "Interstellar."*
    I don't promise that all my information is 100% accurate, but I do have a pretty decent grasp on the concept, and feel I explain it in a way that people might be able to understand. Although, it does get pretty technical at times.
