I had an 8 pro but unfortunately it would get uncomfortably warm after 10mins of browsing internet and the battery life sucked. So I sold it and bought s24u. Maybe when Google moves to tsmc for their chips next year I'll give the pixel another go.
@@fboost You probably just had to perform a factory reset and start fresh. Sometimes, factory resetting fixes issues like this. That kinda problem is not common, seems you are one of the few affected. I have a Pixel 6a, that is the first gen of tensor and I even game on this device, there is not a single sign of overheating issue on this. But considering the G3 is a little new, they might need some time to optimize it with updates too but then again, your problem indeed sounds uncommon.
@@sjn_ Did that, twice! I think a just had a bad chip but the chance of getting another bad one prevents from buying a phone with a tensor chip from Samsung again.@sjn_
@@fboost That's up to you I guess, not every device comes defected. I agree, it's kinda a bad thing that they are using Samsung's node but I personally find Tensor not as bad as people make it seem. Wayyy better than the flagship level Exynos chips themselves. Most of the people I see complaining are the ones who want it to go head to head against Apple and Qualcomm and want it to be a gaming powerhouse which it was not intended for. But yeah, once Google moves to the TSMC's node, it's gonna be a game changer!
I'm sick of displays gettin super huge, so honestly the 8a is more appealing to me. I could not care less about gaming etc. So might go for a deal on the 8a from Mint.
I think it's a good comparison to make. The only thing you're missing out on if you get the Pixel 8a is the camera, display, and build quality. Aside from that you're getting the same stock android experience. Are those missing things worth 500 bucks.
I have a google pixel 8 pro and I love it. I will never get rid of this phone.

The lean camera bar on the 8a, is so much better than the chunk of metal on the 8 pro
Can you elaborate please?
How do I access keyboard 0:44
Not a realistic comparison
I thought that too, but I actually got a flash deal on the Pixel 8 Pro for $400 so if you happen to come across a deal like that, it's a no brainer!

Yet it's a comparison I came here specifically to see just to find the differences.
Who cares
