- When a new Daily Login champion is announced, I'm always super excited to get my hands on this free legendary and figure out where it can help players progress. Today is the first day of the new Login champion Series for Chronicler Adelyn and it has left me feeling less excited than any previous login champion. Let's take a look at the reasons why...

She needs a new passive: Every time you collect / summon this champion, extends vault space by 10, then moves her and 9 other useless champions to those spaces.
Maybe vault keeper Wix will end up having a passive like "Deals double damage when Chronicler Adelyn is in your vault"

Even with doing CB daily, Lego books are still extremely rare. My CB hasn't dropped a Lego book in weeks. Lego Books are my single biggest road block right now. So there is now way she sees any of them unless she gets buffed somehow.

@@TheExel2000 The established rate for lego books for UNM and NM are about 10% and 6% respectively. That's percent chance in one chest. and you get two of each daily. I usually end up with about 10 for every cvc. If you haven't gotten a single one in weeks, your game is straight up broken (it isn't)
@@KwanzaaJuice I can be a bit hyperbolic so it's probably not weeks, but it is very below average odds. I'll check my RSLhelper stats when I get home and see what the actual numbers are.
I would say i get 2 books per sacred shard or so, what i have found strange is i get more sacreds then void shards
7:36 I'm glad to see someone else mention that about her passive. I've been communicating with my clanmates and I mentioned the same thing to them. And in Hades' video on her.
As I wrote on scratch and HH video. Have her A1 transfer all debuffs and a3 either sleep 1.target and then place aoe decrease speed/attack or aoe hit with sleep plus the debuffs

maybe they're working on something like, your vault champs start getting attacked in the background so that forces you to gear her, then at least this way she has some sort of use!

think she will be pretty good for amius.. 5 star blessing makes her a good punchbag and she has a heal, you ignore her a3 (or take it as backup attack down) and place brimstone with a1.. sounds great to me.. no books needed either
Revive on death on A2, change aura for speed in dungeons, sleep for 2 turn on A3. Would be excellent for sand devil. Else I stick to Siphi for sleep SD 25.
I'd modify:
the A1 with a transfer of at least 2 debuffs ( maybe 3) and buff steal or copy ( viable for protected buffs)
the A2 with buff spread on top ( like an equalizer type on the team), or turn meter manipulation ( either negative or positive)
the A3 with an AOE and a decrease defense on top
For the passive I'd add the ability to place gear and blessing debuffs on skill casts (ignores the hit condition) (once per turn)

When I first saw the champion (on facebook), i was like, "hey this champ is absolut trash, why not make the a2 fully restor destroyed max hp so that she will be atleast viable for Sanddevil." That was the point when realisation hit, I am infact running a Rector with Miracle heal for SD25 mainly to restore the lost max hp (the team is Rector, Ninja, Fahrakin, Crimsonhelm, Demytha) and the new login champ's a2 will absolutly be a full heal/restore max hp, she restores and heals after, so miracle heal also has value on her. She is not gamebreaking or anything, BUT for soma reason don't have a Godseeker, she is the best option for SD even on 25.
I think it can be done purely with the arena. 30 battles a day, that is 60 points a day, x21, that equals 1260 points

commented this on hell hades vids as well but in my opinion a good way to buff her for the roll of sand devil across more stages of progression would be the following:
they say they made her a sand devil specialist but for that I would at least have like for her skill to place a sleep for 2 or maybe even 3 turns since there are so many champions already out there that do a 1 turn sleep and barely any that do a 2 and I don't think there is any that would do a 3 turn also instead of saying it ignores block debuffs it should have just said they can't be blocked and for the passive I would have liked it more if it said something along the lines of allies deal x% more damage against targets under sleep debuffs or ignore x% if defense of targets under sleep debuffs

Honestly, if they just expand her A3 to be an AoE place instead, she suddenly springs into viability. Dec Atk and Dec Speed regardless of affinity is an essentially Void level of skill.

Relatively new player myself(2-3 months). Adelyn is a good freebie lego, probably not great for anyone who has been playing a long time tho.
Without spending a small fortune on lego books any lego champ is a big investment so not sure why that an issue for her specifically lol.
With the right team and build Adelyn is a perfect fit in any place and her usefulness in faction dungeon and sand devil for newer players like my self makes her a perfect freebie.

Seriously, why do you even try to defend this? are you afraid they wont "throw you a bone" anymore? do you think Paylarium will get "mad" and "take your toy back"? because seriously, these are the ONLY reasons I can think of why anyone would defend her outside of people either getting paid by Paylarium or are otherwise associated with them.
This Champion is SO OBVIOUSLY $H!T that even the worst rated Legos in game are BETTER!!!!!! Dont believe me? look at the ratings for the Orc Lego "Gomlok". 2.5 average even below this garbage (thats gonna change in time). He has an A3 that is a DOUBLE AOE!!!!!! with Decrease DEF AND Weaken!!!! an A2 that stealls ALL Buffs AND half of Turn Meter....and that guy is considered a BAD LEGO!!!!! Now compare him to this crp and tell me there is ANYTHING about this champ that is worth defending!

This Leggo is clearly a "Trap" and is made to dilute the Leggo Pool so Krakens spend more money and F2P spend more time on average to get something ACTUALLY good!

She has nothing in her kit that can help with sintranos. The fact they are giving out a 5 star soul might be the only value she holds for the awakened stages, but then we don't know how hard it's going to be to get that.

Her A3 needs to be an AOE if they just change that, she will actually be useful everywhere for everyone…as is, she is maybe useful for a (new account only) on Iron Twins…maybe each dungeon boss, maybe some doomtower bosses.

Her A3 being irresistible against bosses will be a simple fix, making it aoe will be a nice addition but atleast this will help newer players who can't hit accuracy speed and tankiness
If sanddevil becomes cleanse with block debuffs when awakens, does this make her look better?
I wonder if she can wear poison set + counter attack mechanic/ally atk to boost her passive. If this a viable option, it could be a good thing that poison set has use for her and possibly skip the books.

Finally someone talking some sense. She is crap. To be considered useful she needs her a3 aoe, her a2 either to provide shield or to cleanse or make ot 2 turns. Her passive needs either 5% per debuff she casts or 3% per any debuff regardless who placed it
Rhonda, Ninja and Sun Wukong are probably some of the best. Ninja is absolutely broken in PvP. the defense option for Vaultkeeper are by far the most powerful

Muckstalker is a Rare that you can farm campaign until you get him…and has 100% sleep on a 3 turn cooldown with no books required. If booked, it’s on a 2 turn cooldown. Only difference is he can weak hit on Force Sand Devil. This leggo is dog crap!!!
I am a level 55(got to that yesterday), I am close to 180 days and what I am missing so far is a good Defence champion and a Legendary Support that can really help me with CC, I was really excited for her but she is bad even for me !!! I have Rector Drath for Healling and here A2 with Miracle Heal can do what Adelyn A2 can do(close enough), but Rector Drath also gives me a revive. Adelyn in my eyes looks closer to an epic than a Legendary that is harder to Book !!! Her A1 needs to be 100% if we are to make good use of it, A2 is ok. Her A3 needs to be AOE, even if it means her Passive is dropped to 1% per debuff. She is a Legendary yet some Epics do her job better in my opinion and for a new Player Legendary Books are very hard to find, I already need 7 Books to finish Rathalos and then I also have to book Scyl since I will get her soon and now I also need Books for Adelyn. I will probably not use her any time soon !!!

I think she is an epic quality champ as is, but not a leggo. Look at the passives for Firrol and Bad-el-kazar. Both give 20% damage bonus on the entire enemy. For a single target damage bonus, we need to see something more like 30-40% imho.
Nice to see someone say she's trash. I was thinking I was the only one after all the videos I've seen from there cc's. I was thinking maybe they think she's awesome for the sand devil nerf/rework. But rn she's garbage.

It will be hilarious if after she comes out people find ways to use her that no one thought about and then everyone starts praising her. I am no expert but I still feel she is getting more hate than she deserves. There was also a notice that Sand Devil is getting altered some although no details so her viability could easily skyrocket with whatever they do. But even now, not many champs have a way to replace destroyed HP so that is a plus for her. And whenever people talk about her A3 they never mention the fact that it says those debuffs will ignore Block Debuffs. A common buff to protect key champions, she'll ignore it and still put them to sleep along with decreased speed and attack. I also wonder how the Sand Devil is coded. While he's awake you can't land debuffs so I wonder if on the back end it's coded like block debuffs even though we don't see the icon, so maybe she will bypass that no matter what and possibly put him to sleep outside of the immunity phase also since he is supposed to take at least one turn before you can put him back to sleep. Of course IDK if any of that is possible, but just some thoughts in my head.
He also said Ronda and UDK were bad at first glance. Is Saphs curse holds she'll end up being really good somehow 😂

Tbh, after the recent free OP and toxic champs, I'm good with a below-average free champ.

She needs 2 to 9 books to get to a 100% sleep, which is the bare minimum you want for current SD. I can't get my head around why i should invest in her.
I'd even say hexweaver, a dark elf rare, has a better heal on a2 and a3 turn meter boost is even stronger than her
With everyone hating this champ, I think it's likely she'll either get a buff, OR her kit will have more synergy after the rework of Sand Devil. It might take a while, but it seems like they would notice that nobody is using her at all..
The worst thing about her is she's being placed in the champion pool. Hope everyone loves the inevitable dupes!
This comment is just to touch on your opening statements about the best login champs in recent years and the best one by far is ultimate deathknight. He is single handedly the impactful champ added to the game as a free champ and his dominance has been going on since he was introduced. There has never been a champ that changed the meta especially for pvp like UDK. Yes wukong is insanely good as well but even udk can still counter him pretty easily. Udk can solo dungeons for earlier game accounts, he’s good in doom tower, he can triple as a healer, provoke tank and mischief tank in hydra. He also does decent damage. Out of all the freebie champs added to the game I don’t think any of them can tick all those boxes. Obviously the best of all time is ninja but not all of have him and you can never get him again.

The 2x was working. The only legit gripe is if you pulled a legendary in those shards then you wouldn't have got the additional chance for your selected one.
A3 need a buff. Make it AoE or 3 turn effect.
At least the other rewards are fairly nice. Maybe they’ll get around to buffing her, but at worst she’s a five star chicken.

I feel like with this champion and armanz, for exact opposite reasons, plarium are just so far detached from their own game. It was so obvious to me the first time I saw this champion that the A3 absolutely has to be AoE to have any value in the game. It was also so obvious that armanz A2 absolutely shouldn't be on a 3 turn cooldown... It has to be a minimum of 4 turns to be remotely balanced.
It's kinda funny when you consider the power creep between Rhazin and armanz... Rhazin's bog down skill is one of the very few AoE TM depletions in the game and it's on a 6 turn cooldown when booked. Now consider armanz steals TM and stuns, and is on a 3 turn CD... honestly they are so far detached from their own game it's baffling.
This is actually a really perfect champion for raid Shadow Legends. You have to wait 7 days to get her so wait Shadow Legends and then it sucks like everything else in raid.
Then you wait another 7 days and you can work towards a blessing for her that won't even do anything. That's my favorite part about playing video games nowadays it's a job You don't get paid for and there's no reward for smart play anymore.

Why would early game players be focused in progressing sand devil? They're getting low rank gear.... it's almost like a trap
The problem is that we got way too used to get very strong FREE login champs. It's the 1st time we got a free one with the easy possibility to get a 5 star soul for it. I'd take one of her for free, than a Narma out of any shard. I don't want to see people crying about not having good champs for SD in Sintranos when BL are on the table. We don't need another UDK or Wukong for free that are poison to arena. Btw, not everyone has a Siphy to do SD 25 and we all wand that reroll sand. I mean i do run a 5 star Aniri with Ninja, but not everyone has that. Free is free regardless if ist op, good or trash

Have to disagree about sand devil not being worth it unless you're doing stage 24/25. I think it's worth farming mid level SD, because why wouldn't you want to ascend your gear? Maybe 10% of players or less can beat stage 25, but a lot of players can use the stat boosts from 2 or 3 star ascension. Even for a lot of end game players SD 25 is too hard for most of us. Ive beat most areas of the game but SD over lvl 20 is still nit possible for me and I've tried many teams.
It is a question of ROI (return of investment) which is abyssmal in SD lower stages! Especially early or mid level Account can put the Energy they would otherwise spend in SD into way more lucrative places in the game!
Dont forget, ascending crappy gear is not as good as getting actual good gear!
Of course this is a rule for F2P or low spenders. Those who are ready and/or willing to put thousands of $ into this game will have other "opportunities" and play with different rules.
I would strongly advice any F2P or low spender early or mid account to stay away from SD until they have a solid enough Foundation with Champs and Gear that enable them to do higher Levels of SD in a reasonable Time.
Also, dont forget, ascending Gear is not so important for most parts of the Game. For example, any player who doesnt care about high level PVP and only play for PVE can COMPLETELY IGNORE Sand Devil since the bonuses from Sand Devil will only make minimal difference in PVE. Sand Devil and Shogun are (imo) high lv. PvP related Dungeons that are a MUST for any Player competing in the highest levels of Arena, Triple Team Arena or Live Arena.
I am a "close to end game" F2P and after trying to get ONE lousy Artifact to ascend with the stats I needed, wasting immense resources and still not succeeding, I decided to pass on Sand Devil for the Time being! its just not worth the Effort for me!
@harryhoudini714 Valid point.. But I definitely haven't spent thousands on the game. Maybe $300 over a 3 1/2 year period and all the first year. Having done unm CB for almost 3 years though.. I have gotten enough champions to pass most areas of the game, FW, DT, hydra.. ect. I have never made platinum arena, but am happy with gold 5.
I am also now very particular with what gear I save and glyph, probably save 5% of gear.
I guess for me.. having collected around 25 legendaries from fusions, free champs and CB shards.. after beating FW, I find I really only use maybe 10-15 champions in most areas of the game. Those champions already have top tier gear. I'm at a point now where I get maybe 1 legendary every couple months from cb shards and they're usually waiting on books. Which means I am only really needing 1 set of top tier gear every couple months, if you farm DT hard to forge, FW for perception, and all the other gear you get from hydra, and cursed city and other free areas.. I find that I rarely farm regular dungeons unless I'm going for a fusion.
So for me.. (which you would probably say I'm end game so this doesn't apply).. I find SD very useful, but beating SD 25 is brutal even for most end game players. You see CC"s beating it all the time, but the majority of even end game or near end game players can't beat it. I've tried many times.
My original point was.. when he said "if you're not beating stage 24/25 it's not worth your time. That's where I disagree. Even if you're a mid game player.. if you're lucky enough to pull a top tier leggendary.. and you have the leggendary equipped with your best gear (which you should have at least a few pairs of top tier gear by then, and have it glyphed out.. ascending that gear to level 2 or 3 is 100% worth it. That said.. I wouldn't bother for most champions and gear, just the ones that are ranked really high that you will always have use for.
I think once you have fw beat.. you really aren't going through much gear anymore because 90% of epics and maybe 30% of legendaries just aren't worth investing in gear after that. So you do end up with far more energy to spare, if that makes sense, you just have to utilize the free areas of the game, which at this point give as good or better gear than the energy consuming dungeons.
I definitely found that my entire game and game plan drastically changed after FW, so I think it's the best way to determine whether or not certian areas of the game have value. Regular dungeons for gear dropped in value big time, dungeons like SD, Iron Twins, Shogun.. while still hurt a little because of the return on investment (like you said) start to go up in value. That's why instead of trying to guess if someone is mid/early end game/ end game.. I base it mainly off FW.

Thats great and obviously my comment was directed more towards early and midgame Accounts who do not have multiple legos in good or very good gear!
Still I am not sure if this Champ is really worthwhile investing though! especially if only a low percentage of Accounts can actually make good use of her. They said she is for "early progression" but so far the only real use I have seen from her is in Kraken Accounts together with two Gnuts and godly gear. Hardly a Champ for the "average guy" is it?
@harryhoudini714 I agree. As f2p you and I both know.. leggo books are the hardest thing to come by. My biggest mistake early on was throwing books at average leggos, then having to wait months to book a good one when it comes. I usually average 1 leggo every couple months from CB, but it takes 3, or sometimes 4 months to fully book. Even as an end game account I'm very picky about who I start booking. This champ would never get books on my account as is.

Dont get youre hope up regarding buffing this champion , plarium have almost stopped buffing any champion and have a much larger focus on eighter release a OP champion or a nuker who dont do damage. Balance is a word they dont know
It's free and can help everyone for sand devil a very tricky boss. The lego will be useful. Just like blizzar was yet many fusion events are put down and eventually they found to have A place for them

Make the A3 AoE and then she’s ok. The A3 could be possible ok for some double Gnut things considering the passive, but except for that she’s complete shit right now.
Put her in Curing and MIracle heal maybe the best

@@hayleyberry3437 I think you're the one who is missing the point. 25% restoration of destroyed max HP is much much stronger than miracle heal and curing... They only restore destroyed max hp as a percentage of the heal, rather than outright restoring 25%.
Put Adenlyn in Bolster set and use for faction wars. Plarium not give us 2 top tier login Legendaries back to back. Players should know this.

Watching all the content creators talk about how terrible she is but none of them see what one very simple function she fulfills.
In low-spender or free-to-play you need every bit of energy you can get in order to progress. One of the things you get on a daily basis is the daily missions. You finish all of them, and you get an energy refill. Notice that since they added Sand Devil they added "Ascend a piece of gear" to that daily list.
Everyone keeps saying she will be useless for the early game. NO! She will get you that handful of small oils needed to get that single piece of gear ascended so you get your energy.
Yes, Muckstalker can put the Sand Devils to sleep, But he needs pretty mid-game gear to do it. With hope/luck (and the login gear you get) maybe Chronicler Adelyn can manage to let you finish higher than the easy stage 1 or 2 of Sand Devil to get those oils you need to get the energy you need.
The only issue I see with her is she should be an Epic. That way booking her out would be easier.
So stop telling me how terrible she is and instead tell me how to build a FTP or Low-spender team around her to get to higher levels of Sand Devil.

Seriously, I wouldnt build her if she was a Rare with the same Kit! She is beyond awful! the uncommon Lizard is better than her for what is supposed to be her "specialty" Sand Devil.
