Glad I found this, I was a 19 kilo M1A1 Armored Crewmen during the Iraq Campaign 2003 through 2004, 15 Month Downrange Deployment then back 6 Months later to Ramadi, Iraq. First Tour Baghdad, Iraq then 90 day Stop Loss to Karaballa, Iraq took on Al Sadar uprising and Iraq First Elections! I got out in 2005 and been Disabled ever since. I’m almost 47 and I didn’t go in till I was 28 after 911. 1 AD 1 BN 37 AR Bandits Alpha Co 1 Plt and also HHC. I’ll be doing this. I also did a Mod called #GunnerHeatPC which will be so bad ass ounce they get it going! I hope they do. I’ve not heard anymore about it.
Awesome, thanks for watching! I'm currently on active duty as a 19A. I've been a Scout Platoon Leader, Scout Troop XO, Squadron Adjutant, Squadron Plans Officer, Reconnaissance Troop Commander, and HHT Commander. I'm currently doing the whole OC/T thing at a Combat Training Center. Let me know if you've got any questions; I'd love to see you on the Steel Beasts forums sometimes, or even in a multiplayer game!
@@Mirzayev thank you so very much sir for your Service Hooah! I'm so glad they've added monthly licenses. I'm a very active sim player that rotates around several titles, having a chance to "pause" this game when I play other stuff is more than welcome.
I know this is an old video but I just downloaded SB Pro last night. I didn't have much time to play before it was time to head off to sleep so I messed around on the range for a bit. Of course I did terrible. Your tips are very appreciated. Thanks for making this.
Awesome man, I've had a lot of fun with it! Do you have anything that you would like to see in the next video, like concepts that you want to see explained?
@@Mirzayev I've only played through the M1A1 tutorials so far. Guides on platoon command, combat support, company and battalion level coordination in single player and multiplayer would be helpful. Maybe consider publishing some more individual vehicle guides, then moving up through platoon tactics, then company, battalion, and support coordination. Really any tips from your experiences playing Steel Beasts would help. Keep up the good work!
My bad, I just saw that you've already posted some quality platoon tactics videos. I'll dive into these next: th-cam.com/play/PL7wwWTcJj9btJHj7tkvhVx8kbB58uS4Wz.html
@@lowenstaat Awesome, glad you are getting some use from those! I'll start small: I'm planning for the next video in this series to show some basic mission editor stuff, followed by "your first mission."
If you dont mind to explain to us how to properly set a IED to detonate when a vehicle goes over it , im having a hard time trying to do that in the editor , Also when calling for an arty strike , sometimes it says awaiting confirmation , do we need to tell the mortar units to fire at will ? Thanks in advance !
Just to correct you. Full price does not give you life time access. I have a code meter dongle and it no longer works. I contacted esim and they told me that it is out of date even though it was a full purchase in mid 2000s. FYI, it was about $125 then and so $125 now is a good deal.
I state that buying it allows you to play the 'current version pretty much forever' which is correct. In your case, you can still play the version that you bought. If a new, paid update comes out, you need to buy that and update your CodeMeter license to play the latest version. Anyway, this was made over a year ago, and the price has dropped to $115 for the unlimited license.
Should be under the "Tutorials" tab. Note that not every vehicle may be represented, especially if they have a very similar variant (Leopard 2A5 vs the Leopard 2A6 for example.)
Not every vehicle and system actually has its own tutorial series. Our plan is to create TH-cam videos with walkthroughs instead. Which still takes considerable effort in production but still easier than to create tutorial scenarios where every aspect needs to be described in the mission briefing. That being said, there are only so many ways to skin a cat. If you are familiar with the fire control systems presented in the tutorials that do exist, and if you then use the SB Wiki as supplementary information, chances are you won't be fully incompetent in an unfamiliar vehicle after a little bit of practice.
I just bought the game today and my UI is all bunched up with letters not fitting in the gray backgrounds and letters overlapping. I'm trying to play at 2560x1440 on a 4K UHD HDR10 TV. Also, is there a video on the different graphics settings and what they do and what's recommended?
For graphics settings, defaults are recommended. I'm not really an expert on that cause I just crank everything to max. 😁 For the text, it is likely caused by the scaling applied to your resolution. Setting it to 100% in your windows display settings fixes the issue. Steel Beasts doesn't play well with scaling, and it is a known issue.
@@Mirzayev - Oh okay, thank you! Yeah, I've got it set to 200% which is what Windows 11 recommends. I'll try turning scaling down to 100% but everything is gonna be super tiny on my screen and hard for me to read. Gonna be like Stevie Wonder trying to learn how to control an M1A2. Wish me luck! 🤣 Hmm, I tried everything at max with all the sliders moved over to the right and I was getting like 17fps. I have Intel TurboBoost technology disabled in my BIOS to keep my laptop from getting hot and screaming like a jet about to take off with the fans. With that off it locks my CPU to 2.6Ghz per core (six core Intel I7) but keeps my temps way down and I'm able to play most games fine with high or ultra settings at 60FPS. I have 32GB of DDR4 at 3200Mhz, and an RTX 2070 8GB GDDR6 GPU. Game is installed on an NVMe 1TB SSD. It's a laptop but I use it more like a desktop since I have it connected to my 55" 4K UHD HDR10 TV at 2560x1440 at 60Hz.
@@kevinmccallister1343 I normally run Steel Beasts at 1920x1080 resolution. It doesn't do great at higher levels. I'm sitting at around 60 FPS with a 2080 in my laptop. There are some guides on the forums if you want to optimize it a bit. I haven't done it cause I haven't needed to yet.
@@Mirzayev - Okay, I lowered my resolution down to 1920x1080 and I restored the defaults for "Terrain Detail Distance". I had all of those sliders set to the right but I put them back to default and I turned scaling down to 100% and so the text fits correctly now. And I was able to get and hold 60FPS doing all that. Everything under graphics options is maxed out on my system but the Terrain Detail distance sliders is what was killing my frame rate. I guess it tries to render very detailed images at very far distances and it was too much for my PC to handle, hence the very low frame rates I was having. All good now though. Thank you again Sir!
@@Mirzayev - One last question if you don't mind? Years ago when I was a kid there was an Electronic Arts game called M1 Abrams Battle Tank for the Sega Genesis. I believe it came out on PC also back in the late 80s (1988 I believe). I LOVED that game. Loved the KA-CRACK sound whenever I destroyed an enemy vehicle but they blew up like cardboard boxes so it wasn't very realistic but it was one of the best tank sims at the time. So anyhow, do you know if by chance anyone on the SBPro PE forums remade that game's entire campaign using this sim? That would be totally cool if someone did. =) As I said, I just bought (well, re-bought) Steel Beasts Pro PE. I had bought it before for over $100 years ago but can't remember what version it was then. Had the dongle and seems like I got a huge manual with the dongle also back then. It was long ago and my wife divorced me and I lost a lot of stuff after the divorce including the dongle and my old PC and ended up as a homeless veteran for awhile. Now I'm back up on my feet and doing alright again and trying to get back some of the things I lost after the divorce so I can feel whole again. So I just re-bought Steel Beasts Pro PE for $115 and should be getting the dongle in the mail soon I hope. Using the 1 month license for now that I got with my purchase while I wait for the dongle to arrive. Just bought GUNNER, HEAT, PC on Steam yesterday and I like it but it's very basic compared to this one. It's still early access so it'll be interesting to see how it develops over time. I feel like the more people support tank sims the better off we all are. The more the merrier. I play lots of submarine and U-boat simulators as well, going all the way back to the Janes days. I feel old as hell! 🤣
You can sometimes cheese the rating system by using non-standard ammunitions. I got around a 178 by using some HE rounds in a previous version. Regardless, anything about 100 registers as 100.

I guess you could say that, though Steel Beasts predates DCS World by 8 years.
I think that SB has a superior mission editor by far compared to DCS.

Is it also for single players or multiplayer only
You can play both.
How to take full control of your 50 Cal. (M1A1)? I can only move it left and right. I check all the buttons, but to no avail
The .50 CAL on the M1A1 is partially powered, so you have to tap the up and down keys to change the elevation.
