May I ask why did you change Noble Team's colours back? I enjoyed seeing them in sage green, it felt more grounded imo and I liked the nod towards how Spartans are portrayed in the books, as you pointed out in this video

I had a flashed xbox 360. Got cocky someone leaked Halo 4 on the pirates bay a few days before it came out. I played Halo 4 before it came out but I couldn't stealth patch it. I got console banned and account banned forever.
Fun fact: The Wraiths are actually called "Apparition" in French in the Halo franchise. So if this mod is compatible with other languages, it would need another name in french to avoid confusion
One thing I've always wanted to see from a Reach campaign mod is for the Seraphs on Long Night of Solace to be able to use pulse lasers, because those Seraphs do have those and I feel like it would inject some much-needed difficulty into the space section.

This is incredible. Apart from the fact that I feel some of the new coloration feels perhaps a little too vibrant next to the natural desaturated environment of Reach (Specifically with the Plasma Spade and Apparition; They still look amazing btw), and my favoritism towards Spartan abilities, I love damn near every design choice you made. From adding Hunter assassinations, an Elite Zealot and Drones to the spire, and various weapon tuning, this is such a quality boost to the game and makes more sense canonically for this to precede Halo: CE. Thank you for this mod, for what you do, and for helping keep the Halo community alive!
I don't know. Reach is weird. Sometimes it feels like it lacks saturation. Other times it feels like there is too much color or vibrancy. The game is really inconsistent. My favorite color palette for Reach was its beta's. How about you? You want an example of too much vibrancy? Halo: CEA for sure. I call it Halo: Cartoon Edition Advanced. I hate it. Especially because Halo borrowed from the grungy, down to earth, feel of the movie Aliens by James Cameron. The original CE captured that atmosphere perfectly.
This looks spectacular but I have 2 questions 1. Is it possible to install this but leave Noble Team unchanged? I see where you're coming from with the colors thing but the diversity of the team is one of the reasons I enjoy them so much 2. Is player customization still a thing? I noticed Noble Six and the second player are both green

The Halo community is a great one. Look at El Dewrito/Halo Online, for the fans, by the fans. Thats why Microsoft decided to stop any new updates on it. Once it finally started picking up speed and got realized as a free version of Halo for PC they said fuck you.
THYCR3ATOR Microsoft stopped it because it was using assets from past halo games and those assets are copyrighted. Look at installation 01 that game looks like halo but all assets are made from scratch and there is no problem with that game. 343 wanted ElDewrito to continue but Microsoft couldn’t allow their assets to be used by anyone.

@@michk5149 You just sound like an idiot. Halo is an intellectual property of Microsoft therefore no one is allowed to use all of their assets. Letting community games fly goes against this. It's their product not the community's. All this "stuff" people make wouldn't even exist without the original devs let alone function properly.
Looking really interesting, although I’d change a few small details: 1. The plasma spade colour is too hot pink and should be halfway between where it is now and where the original repeater was. 2. The Elite Major should be darker and less saturated. I’d argue that it needs to be the same colour as the original Revenant. 3. The Zealot looks almost like a banana now and should have more red in the RGB to make it look gold. 4. The plasma rifle is too green now, where in CE it was purple. 5. The new blue Revenant should be more washed out. 6. Regarding names, I’d say don’t call the new Revenant an Apparition. Covenant vehicle names generally come from mythology, so apparition is a bit too general/vague. I’ve found that in the OT, names often had something to do with the vehicle characteristic - banshees wail/scream, ghosts float about, wraiths ehhhhhh, and scarabs are essentially just giant beetles. Given you’ve changed the Revenant into a moving flame thrower, I’d consider naming it something to do with dragons or fire, like: - Drake: a wingless dragon that doesn’t fly, much like the current Revenant, with a belly moves along close to the ground. - Hydra: the blue colours give off aquatic vibe, and aquatic dragons exist in mythology. However, the main feature of a Hydra is that it has multiple heads, and the Revenant only has one cannon - Dragon: literally a moving flamethrower - Wyvern: aggressive dragon, but doesn’t have much to do with the characteristics of the Revenant - Phoenix: a fire bird, but doesn’t technically breathe fire (I think?), sounds cool If it were my choice I’d go with Hydra or Drake, since they describe your modifications to the Revenant closest. Apparition is a mouthful to say, particularly if you’re playing Co-op at a quick pace. Anyhows, love the work! Keep it coming

@@TheVengefulVadam Great mod! this is more of an aesthetic complaint rather than a gameplay one, but why is the dmr a closer range weapon and the pistol a longer one? it just seems odd that this scoped rifle performs less well at range than a pistol. I know the og pistol from CE acted kind of like a dmr, but wouldnt it seem more realistic if the pistol did a three round burst and the rifle was the weapon that needs nice even pacing to hit things at further ranges?
I get that you want to be more in-line with CE, but i strongly disagree with the removal of the energy sword and plasma launcher. Taking away weapons is just taking away options from the player. Less options = less fun
Not necesarilly, sometimes when you have way too many options people actually start to enjoy less what they are doing and have more problems deciding, plus, if said choices aren't meaningful, then there's isn't much to enjoy, i still don't like the removal of these weapons though
I like some of the changes you made but some others I don't care for, like noble team being a solid color just I know it's more lore friendly but I don't care for it. Also I adore armor abilities so it's a massive turn off for me to remove them outright. However the weapon changes are interesting and I appreciate the changes made to make each weapon more unique. I think the hunter boarding is cool, but I don't really like it cause I like the way hunter battles play out and while there is some new strategy to taking them out and still risky I think it might make some encounters go by way too quickly. also removing the sword is a no go for me, but I understand that the new rocket launcher makes the plasma launcher redundant but I do miss the idea of it still, perhaps that one could have been changed as well to make it more unique.
Amazing work, but there are a few things I disagree with. For one, I don't see the point in removing the energy sword and plasma grenade launcher for the sake of having it the same as Halo CE. I get it's supposed to be more similar to it but why remove it? I also don't agree with reducing the damage of the sniper rifle in favor for a faster firing rate. It's a .50 cal sniper. That baby is huge, and should easily be able to tear through enemies. Overall, it's just my personal opinion that it wasn't worth changing some things for the sake of making it more like Halo CE or Halo 3. Edit: oh I also forgot to mention that in my personal opinion, I thought the new covenant colors looked a bit to bright and plasticy. If they were made a little dirty or just a bit darker, I think it would've looked even better.
I think the weapon removal was for the sake of balancing. Yes, it also removes options. At the same time, other weapons have been added or buffed, which change the gameplay as well. Choices have to make sense. I think it was a cool nod to Halo CE to make the Sword disappear as well as have the Plasma Launcher explode a la Fuel Rod. Nice touch!
Dear V'V, I'm subbing to your channel as I was immediately impressed with your work on the Lore friendly appearance of the Noble team. It always bothered me that in the middle of a high-tech war, they had vibrant colors aka "Yo, Covenant, we're over here!", the olive green primary dye was spot on. And lastly, I can only hope you'll bring your great work to Halo: Reach, when it reaches the PC market ;-) Best regards and keep up the great work!
How come you didn't give the Shotgun some love? I'd love to see its CE-era range! Also, this is just me, but I'd prefer it if your DMR/BR kept the original Reach bullet count of around 15, but still retaining the 3-shot burst, giving you 5 shots per mag. It would make the player unable to cut down a squad of Grunts and Jackals like a lawnmower through grass in areas where the little bastards are actually meant to be a challenge in droves, and would also cut out the unnecessary grizzle of having the player spam bullets at shielded enemies until they find out they're hardly doing anything. I agree with other people here suggesting the colors be desaturated on the Spade and Apparition, the Zealot should be desaturated a bit as well. Imo the Plasma Spade should share the same color (as it seems to be closer to it in coloration already) as the Ghost. The Apparation should share the Wraith's color as well, for the same reason.
Reach was my first Halo. My childhood. To see these mods you've used is astonishing, it makes the game better for me. More combat enjoyment, like Halo CE. Thank you, man. This is great work.

This is a very well thought-out mod in terms of gameplay, bonus points for improving on Reach's sandbox while also making it more sensible as a part of the series. Great job.
I love the first Halo game and when I played Reach for the first time on PC I was really disappointed how the gameplay felt. I was trying to find a way to mod the weapons to Halo CE level of functionality and I'm glad to see someone already made a mod to do exactly that :D
Well, I must say, this is all bloody excellent work! Though one thing I want to criticize about the Apparition. I love my Flamethrowers and this vehicle greatly scratches that itch. Though I feel that the name "Type-48 Light Assault Flamethrower Carriage" is a bit on-the-nose for a UNSC technical designation. May I suggest the alternative title of "Type-48 Light Infantry Suppression Carriage"?

Though Flamethrowers are typically used as suppression tools against infantry, as opposed to direct assault against *all* ground forces (vehicles included) I was mainly going off the logic about how the "Type-##" designations mainly describe the vehicle's purpose and don't normally incorporate UNSC nicknames for certain weapons. Like how the Anti-Air Wraith is the "Type-52 Anti-Aircraft Artillery" as opposed to the "Type-52 Assault Fuel Rod Carriage"
Your inspiration from CE is fantastic! I love the changes you made, as it brings more variety and viability to Reach's sandbox. Well done, this is an excellent mod.
13:16 DUDE! We need you at 343 Industries! Because you know what Halo should look and feel like. The Plasma Rifle is a great example you pulled in terms of how it should have looked in Halo CE Anniversary. I want this chameleon color scheme for a Plasma Rifle prop and I’ve been going back to the CE original graphics and studying the different art styles of the game that the others seem to leave out to never be seen or mentioned again. Also the idea you have for the Zealots is a great idea, though if you want my personal opinion, I’d keep both the Zealots AND your modded Golden Zealot in the game. Just call the golden ones the Supreme Commanders like the Thel was before he became Arbiter. I do have more to say but I don’t want to rant. So I’ll either wait for a reply or continue another time. Looks like a great mod. Keep up the good work.
What you are referring to is pirating (not modding), and it's already being worked on in a sense. If the xenia team (or another emulator team) finish up their work and get most titles to a working degree on their emulator then you'll eventually be able to illegally download halo reach files and use them on the emulator to play.The emulator itself is perfectly legal and you can upload your own disc's files to your pc to use ofc.

People on Xenia are bringing Halo 3 to the PC platform and the emulator isn't able to fully run the entire game, sometimes it crashes or the game has graphical errors. To make the emulation run, they simply need to modify it, which is what they've been doing. That's why I used the term, "modding."

I am so happy to see Reach getting some love, you seem pretty skilled with modding on Reach, Have you ever considered making an Alternate campaign story mod on reach? that would be pretty cool! Maybe writing your own story about a group of marines or ODST's ? or a story about a spartan team?
Vengeful Vadam, PLEASE tell me that you're going to remake this mod on PC for everybody to love! Also I have to love what you did with some of the elites, grunts, weapons, and even the revenant, but the coloring on some of them looks REALLY offputting or makes them standout even more even for the covenant, hopefully if you plan to port this to PC somehow, you make changes to the coloring of the elite minors, majors, zealots, and Revenants. Plus I'd personally think you should change the Zealot model to a Gold-Colored Officer Model instead of the regular Minor Model just to make them standout, and you could probably give the Field Marshal the Zealot or Ultra Models instead if anything, that'd just be 10x better in my honest opinion.
I really do like the concept of this, however it’s not for me. I’m not here to shit all of this mans hard work and dedication for HIS project and HIS view on the game. I believe the colours are a little too saturated for what you wanted to change such as the weapons and revenant. I don’t like the fact that you replaced elite skins as I feel it took away from the ranking of the covenant. I disliked some of the weapons. Of course all of these points are EXTREMELY PERSONAL and I don’t condone to anyone that you look over this mod. If you loved Halo Combat Evolved but believe Halo Reach sort of strayed away from it despite them being months apart in game then I’m sure that you will absolutely adore this mod ! You Sir have gained a subscriber, great job !
Your work on the weapon mods and vehicles is incredible! I'm a big fan of the Apparition, such a creative overhaul and even more satisfying to use than the og Revenant!
KnoxCarbon how does it help with balancing though ? It’s a melee weapon, if I manage to get that close to an enemy I should be able to kill them extremely quickly
@@jerryjezzaberry5009 He said in an earlier thread that he didn't feel it was unique enough, and that it already had competition with the hammer, shotgun, and spiker. Quite frankly, I don't feel that the distinction between those weapons was ever enough anyway, so I'm not that disappointed that the sword isn't usable.

I like the changes to the Falcon best. I wish they would do this for the official version of Halo: Reach if they ever add it to The Master Chief Collection on Xbox One. I don't like that you made the Energy Sword and Plasma Launcher unplayable, though. You should never remove content from the game. That was Bungie's biggest mistake with Reach IMO, removing fan-favorite weapons like the Battle Rifle, Carbine, Mauler, Brute Shot, and vehicles like the Chopper and Hornet. I love the DMR and Falcon to death, but it would've been better if they'd been added alongside their Halo 3 counterparts, rather than implemented as replacements.

This mod is awesome I really like the apparition and I like that its name follows the covernants naming scheme. Out of the encounter changes you mentioned then the spire is my favorite because of the amount of thought you put into that.
Seems like tiny mods put together.. i mean does it change the reach campaign experience ? Yeah ? Does it really upgrades the campaign ? Meh.. Great job but too much weapons buffs were brought in, minor gameplay changes and when pistol etc is modded to behave like it did on halo CE, some are buffed with basically not much reasons and don't behave the way they should have in CE. Not a fan of it, it's only my personal liking, but great job !

Getting rid of armor abilities and turning the DMR into a pseudo-BR, the two best changes Reach did, makes this a hard pass for me. If I wanted to play Halo 2 I would just go play that.

You just expanded the possibilities of modding for the entire Halo Community (It's somewhat more difficult as we need Modded Xbox 360s) but it definitely grants the fans the ability to personalize their games (With some decent hard work and programming knowledge) I bet that common fans will be able to make games on the scale of Halo CE or better within 10-30 years (Assuming the gaming Industry actually improves) Halo Custom Edition was fun to play back in High School (Everyone had a copy on their flash drives lol).

The Halo community is a great one. Look at El Dewrito/Halo Online, for the fans, by the fans. Thats why Microsoft decided to stop any new updates on it. Once it finally started picking up speed and got realized as a free version of Halo for PC they said fuck you.
THYCR3ATOR Microsoft stopped it because it was using assets from past halo games and those assets are copyrighted. Look at installation 01 that game looks like halo but all assets are made from scratch and there is no problem with that game. 343 wanted ElDewrito to continue but Microsoft couldn’t allow their assets to be used by anyone.

Now it's the Apparition.
Looking really interesting, although I’d change a few small details:
1. The plasma spade colour is too hot pink and should be halfway between where it is now and where the original repeater was.
2. The Elite Major should be darker and less saturated. I’d argue that it needs to be the same colour as the original Revenant.
3. The Zealot looks almost like a banana now and should have more red in the RGB to make it look gold.
4. The plasma rifle is too green now, where in CE it was purple.
5. The new blue Revenant should be more washed out.
6. Regarding names, I’d say don’t call the new Revenant an Apparition. Covenant vehicle names generally come from mythology, so apparition is a bit too general/vague. I’ve found that in the OT, names often had something to do with the vehicle characteristic - banshees wail/scream, ghosts float about, wraiths ehhhhhh, and scarabs are essentially just giant beetles. Given you’ve changed the Revenant into a moving flame thrower, I’d consider naming it something to do with dragons or fire, like:
- Drake: a wingless dragon that doesn’t fly, much like the current Revenant, with a belly moves along close to the ground.
- Hydra: the blue colours give off aquatic vibe, and aquatic dragons exist in mythology. However, the main feature of a Hydra is that it has multiple heads, and the Revenant only has one cannon
- Dragon: literally a moving flamethrower
- Wyvern: aggressive dragon, but doesn’t have much to do with the characteristics of the Revenant
- Phoenix: a fire bird, but doesn’t technically breathe fire (I think?), sounds cool
If it were my choice I’d go with Hydra or Drake, since they describe your modifications to the Revenant closest. Apparition is a mouthful to say, particularly if you’re playing Co-op at a quick pace.

@@TheVengefulVadam Great mod! this is more of an aesthetic complaint rather than a gameplay one, but why is the dmr a closer range weapon and the pistol a longer one? it just seems odd that this scoped rifle performs less well at range than a pistol. I know the og pistol from CE acted kind of like a dmr, but wouldnt it seem more realistic if the pistol did a three round burst and the rifle was the weapon that needs nice even pacing to hit things at further ranges?

I get that you want to be more in-line with CE, but i strongly disagree with the removal of the energy sword and plasma launcher. Taking away weapons is just taking away options from the player. Less options = less fun

Not necesarilly, sometimes when you have way too many options people actually start to enjoy less what they are doing and have more problems deciding, plus, if said choices aren't meaningful, then there's isn't much to enjoy, i still don't like the removal of these weapons though
I like some of the changes you made but some others I don't care for, like noble team being a solid color just I know it's more lore friendly but I don't care for it. Also I adore armor abilities so it's a massive turn off for me to remove them outright. However the weapon changes are interesting and I appreciate the changes made to make each weapon more unique. I think the hunter boarding is cool, but I don't really like it cause I like the way hunter battles play out and while there is some new strategy to taking them out and still risky I think it might make some encounters go by way too quickly. also removing the sword is a no go for me, but I understand that the new rocket launcher makes the plasma launcher redundant but I do miss the idea of it still, perhaps that one could have been changed as well to make it more unique.

Amazing work, but there are a few things I disagree with. For one, I don't see the point in removing the energy sword and plasma grenade launcher for the sake of having it the same as Halo CE. I get it's supposed to be more similar to it but why remove it? I also don't agree with reducing the damage of the sniper rifle in favor for a faster firing rate. It's a .50 cal sniper. That baby is huge, and should easily be able to tear through enemies. Overall, it's just my personal opinion that it wasn't worth changing some things for the sake of making it more like Halo CE or Halo 3. Edit: oh I also forgot to mention that in my personal opinion, I thought the new covenant colors looked a bit to bright and plasticy. If they were made a little dirty or just a bit darker, I think it would've looked even better.
According to the video the Sniper only had damage to vehicles nerfed. Not exactly as it was in CE, but makes sense given the other weapons available.

I think the weapon removal was for the sake of balancing. Yes, it also removes options. At the same time, other weapons have been added or buffed, which change the gameplay as well. Choices have to make sense. I think it was a cool nod to Halo CE to make the Sword disappear as well as have the Plasma Launcher explode a la Fuel Rod. Nice touch!

It always bothered me that in the middle of a high-tech war, they had vibrant colors aka "Yo, Covenant, we're over here!", the olive green primary dye was spot on. How come you didn't give the Shotgun some love? I'd love to see its CE-era range! Also, this is just me, but I'd prefer it if your DMR/BR kept the original Reach bullet count of around 15, but still retaining the 3-shot burst, giving you 5 shots per mag.
It would make the player unable to cut down a squad of Grunts and Jackals like a lawnmower through grass in areas where the little bastards are actually meant to be a challenge in droves, and would also cut out the unnecessary grizzle of having the player spam bullets at shielded enemies until they find out they're hardly doing anything.
I agree with other people here suggesting the colors be desaturated on the Spade and Apparition, the Zealot should be desaturated a bit as well. Imo the Plasma Spade should share the same color (as it seems to be closer to it in coloration already) as the Ghost. The Apparation should share the Wraith's color as well, for the same reason.
Reach was my first Halo. My childhood. To see these mods you've used is astonishing, it makes the game better for me. More combat enjoyment, like Halo CE. Thank you, man. This is great work.

I love the first Halo game and when I played Reach for the first time on PC I was really disappointed how the gameplay felt. I was trying to find a way to mod the weapons to Halo CE level of functionality and I'm glad to see someone already made a mod to do exactly that :D
Well, I must say, this is all bloody excellent work!
Though one thing I want to criticize about the Apparition.
I love my Flamethrowers and this vehicle greatly scratches that itch. Though I feel that the name "Type-48 Light Assault Flamethrower Carriage" is a bit on-the-nose for a UNSC technical designation.
May I suggest the alternative title of "Type-48 Light Infantry Suppression Carriage"?
The actual Revenant is canonically called the "Type-48 Light Assault Gun Carriage". I just swapped out Gun for Flamethrower.

I was mainly going off the logic about how the "Type-##" designations mainly describe the vehicle's purpose and don't normally incorporate UNSC nicknames for certain weapons.
Like how the Anti-Air Wraith is the "Type-52 Anti-Aircraft Artillery" as opposed to the "Type-52 Assault Fuel Rod Carriage"

The Plasma Rifle is a great example you pulled in terms of how it should have looked in Halo CE Anniversary. I want this chameleon color scheme for a Plasma Rifle prop and I’ve been going back to the CE original graphics and studying the different art styles of the game that the others seem to leave out to never be seen or mentioned again.
Also the idea you have for the Zealots is a great idea, though if you want my personal opinion, I’d keep both the Zealots AND your modded Golden Zealot in the game. Just call the golden ones the Supreme Commanders like the Thel was before he became Arbiter.
I do have more to say but I don’t want to rant. So I’ll either wait for a reply or continue another time. Looks like a great mod. Keep up the good work.

What you are referring to is pirating (not modding), and it's already being worked on in a sense. If the xenia team (or another emulator team) finish up their work and get most titles to a working degree on their emulator then you'll eventually be able to illegally download halo reach files and use them on the emulator to play.The emulator itself is perfectly legal and you can upload your own disc's files to your pc to use ofc.

People on Xenia are bringing Halo 3 to the PC platform and the emulator isn't able to fully run the entire game, sometimes it crashes or the game has graphical errors. To make the emulation run, they simply need to modify it, which is what they've been doing. That's why I used the term, "modding."

Vengeful Vadam, PLEASE tell me that you're going to remake this mod on PC for everybody to love! Also I have to love what you did with some of the elites, grunts, weapons, and even the revenant, but the coloring on some of them looks REALLY offputting or makes them standout even more even for the covenant, hopefully if you plan to port this to PC somehow, you make changes to the coloring of the elite minors, majors, zealots, and Revenants.
Plus I'd personally think you should change the Zealot model to a Gold-Colored Officer Model instead of the regular Minor Model just to make them standout, and you could probably give the Field Marshal the Zealot or Ultra Models instead if anything, that'd just be 10x better in my honest opinion.

I believe the colours are a little too saturated for what you wanted to change such as the weapons and revenant.
I don’t like the fact that you replaced elite skins as I feel it took away from the ranking of the covenant.
I disliked some of the weapons.
Of course all of these points are EXTREMELY PERSONAL and I don’t condone to anyone that you look over this mod.
If you loved Halo Combat Evolved but believe Halo Reach sort of strayed away from it despite them being months apart in game then I’m sure that you will absolutely adore this mod !

KnoxCarbon how does it help with balancing though ? It’s a melee weapon, if I manage to get that close to an enemy I should be able to kill them extremely quickly

Quite frankly, I don't feel that the distinction between those weapons was ever enough anyway, so I'm not that disappointed that the sword isn't usable.

I like the changes to the Falcon best. I wish they would do this for the official version of Halo: Reach if they ever add it to The Master Chief Collection on Xbox One.
I don't like that you made the Energy Sword and Plasma Launcher unplayable, though. You should never remove content from the game. That was Bungie's biggest mistake with Reach IMO, removing fan-favorite weapons like the Battle Rifle, Carbine, Mauler, Brute Shot, and vehicles like the Chopper and Hornet. I love the DMR and Falcon to death, but it would've been better if they'd been added alongside their Halo 3 counterparts, rather than implemented as replacements.

This mod is awesome I really like the apparition and I like that its name follows the covernants naming scheme. Out of the encounter changes you mentioned then the spire is my favorite because of the amount of thought you put into that.

Seems like tiny mods put together.. i mean does it change the reach campaign experience ? Yeah ? Does it really upgrades the campaign ? Meh..
Great job but too much weapons buffs were brought in, minor gameplay changes and when pistol etc is modded to behave like it did on halo CE, some are buffed with basically not much reasons and don't behave the way they should have in CE.

Getting rid of armor abilities and turning the DMR into a pseudo-BR, the two best changes Reach did, makes this a hard pass for me. If I wanted to play Halo 2 I would just go play that.

You just expanded the possibilities of modding for the entire Halo Community (It's somewhat more difficult as we need Modded Xbox 360s) but it definitely grants the fans the ability to personalize their games (With some decent hard work and programming knowledge) I bet that common fans will be able to make games on the scale of Halo CE or better within 10-30 years (Assuming the gaming Industry actually improves) Halo Custom Edition was fun to play back in High School (Everyone had a copy on their flash drives lol).
