Nice to see your hard work paid off.🎣🎣🎣 You certainly worked for those fish.😲🫣 Always an enjoyable, 😀informative 🧑🎓watch. Good, at last, to see anglers prepared to pass on and share their knowledge.👏👏 Wasn't like that years ago when I started.🥺 A massive thanks.👍👍 Take care and stay safe.😷🙊
Going well lucky you live where there is a few about closet thing we have to a rock mark is the piles they put in to stop the erosion LOL used to have some fantastic rock and cliff Mark's on the west coast of Ireland close by where i lived then wish we had the likes in flat old norfolk. Well done See you soon
@Zulcron Sports summer fishing is brilliant for bass and flats good sole a few skate smothies and with luck and a bit of knowledge tope they cannot resist a nice fresh herring so now summer fishing is it just coincides with the fresh water match fishing where i just about live from June lol see you soon
Ur definitely a natural at this game m8,that's some cod fishing at its best,if you had the same grounds up here in aberdeen as me you would have bags and bags of fish with ur talent.
Cheers for another great video Stewart, just goes to show if you are prepared to put the hard graft and effort into it you will be rewarded, great result given the time of year, still some codlings knocking about.
Stewart Enjoy your vids, as a preference out of the range of ZULCRON rods you use what would you say is your go to rod and why? Keep the vids coming. Mike Easington Holderness
Personally it’s the XT 435. Mainly because the majority of my fishing done on rock edges or cliff tops, fishing into heavy boulders and kelp beds. Second to that has to be the XGT14 for the light style of fishing 🎣 Cheers Mike
Love it!! Love the cliff climbing aspect of fishing doesn’t half give you a work out haha! Nothing I’m not used to with my job though. Safety first, always. Cheers mate
Great video mate well done the fish looking forward to the next one and that XT LITE looks a bloody powerful rod with the stick you was giving it when you was snagged up
Looks very similar to the ground and cliff I've recced up North ;-) Can't wait to give it a shot. Videos mega helpful ref how I approach that! Good effort - hard earned fish!
Loving the content on this channel. I'm wondering for the beginners is there any chance you can explain how to correctly hold cod when you've landed them and how you dispatch and store them while you're out. ATB
@@zulcronsports Thanks mate appreciate it, I've noticed you comment on sea conditions a lot in your videos (good colour in the water etc), could you explain more on this so I understand what to look out for. Keep up the good work. ATB
@@craig87037 can do Craig! Thanks for pointing this stuff out. Stuff that I assume goes without saying but when I actually think about it why would people know, especially if you’re not local.
@@zulcronsports I'm a beginner when it comes to fishing so it massively helps with improving my own fishing knowledge. I'm local to the North east so I'll be fishing similars marks and will be applying your advice to catch more and hopefully bigger fish.
Hiya mate (sorry don't know your name) loving your videos, lots of info etc. Love the simplicity of your rigs but I guess the ground you fish needs simplicity, whats your pully bead of choice and what's your thoughts on the different types of breakaway clips? Cheers buddy. John .
Hi mate, my name is Stewart Herd. Yep keep my rigs simple as I know I’ll be suing at least a one or two in a session as you seen in this video. Things can get very expensive if you hit a snag every cast haha! Pulley beads I just use a 295lb power swivel, not a fan of any actual pulley beads I think most of them nip the rig bodies too much and can cause safety issues if you were to snap off mid cast. Which breakaway clips are you referring too? The imps for bait or rig / lead clips? I use seaglow arrow links for my shockleader to rig. Brilliant bit of kit silly strong too!
@zulcronsports nice one buddy thanks for that. Sorry I meant to say rotten bottom clips. Have you used a few different types and thoughts on them mate 👍
Hi Stew, if this was summer months and you wanted to go fishing on our NE coast, what would you typically target? All the videos I watch are winter fishing but what changes in the summer? Bait/time of day/ground/rigs...any info would be appreciated!
Personally I don’t do much on the North East coast in the Summer and when I do, I head to Northumberland in the thick kelp in search of the red kelpy cod
Another great video, out of curiosity how do the shimanos hold up in the rough ground, don’t they flex or lock up or anything during the retrieve etc. keep up the good work lads 👍
Cracking video as always Stewart and well done on winkiling out a cpl of fish 👍 some great safety tips also especially around cliff marks 👍
Thank you buddy!!

Thanks mate still plenty codlings knocking about!
Great vid nice to see a decent local channel. I live hpool and have a rough idea where you are but never fished them beaches or cliffs
Cheers buddy! Great grounds, but can be dangerous with being cut off by the tide so be careful if you do venture in 😬

Not sure how Jay has designed it but it’s effortless to cast but plenty backbone when it comes to the snags and heavy ground! Bloody fantastic

They’re spot on!! Yeh Ultegra has a bit of flex but I don’t think it’s anything to worry about. My techniums do not budge though, strong as a bull.
