@@SuperJNG18 France is the other neighbouring country, and Albania did give us a lot of points in the 2000s and early 2010s because Italy wasn't there, as soon as Italy came back and apart from 2014, the Albanian 12 points already had the green, white and red colours before the show began.
I cant stand the commentor saying “good neighbours” “it is their neighbour, she had nothing and got 12 points” “they are neighbours” and so. I mean its not our fault that you DONT have neighbours because Ireland hates YOU. There’s some xenophobia right here
Pretty well explained. That guy resigned after 2014 eurovision, why? Because Conchita won, before that contest he had a strong predjudice towards the balkans and mostly eastern europe. He was surprised that the "homophobic countries" which in his opinion was slovenia voted for Austria. Luckily his sucesor wasn't such an asshole

That is because we have the worst neighbors: France and Italy :( at least Portugal love us. France and Italy always vote for the weakest competitor (see eurovision junior 2020 where France won… not even 1 point for Spain….)
