Is the exam for American students only ? I have an OT diploma from Tunisia and I want to practice OT in America ? Is this possible if I succeed the NBCOT ?? 🤔
Thank you so much. I am a little late to this video, and I could not be more grateful for your resources. I am graduating in a few months and wanting to get ahead start on things!
Thank you for this video. It’s been 3 weeks since I graduated and I am honestly SO LOST. I am one of those people that needs everything to be structured in order for me to start anything. I’ve been freaking out about what tools to use or even how I can organize folders but for my COTA exam. Your plan outline is simple and straight to the point, so thank you for that! Please continue to make these videos. There are so many people like me who are desperately searching for answers. 💕
You are so welcome! And congratulations on graduating- that's a huge accomplishment! I definitely understand feeling lost....it's a lot to get through, but you can do this! Let me know if there's anything you're stuck on or would like me to go over specifically, I'm happy to help!
I am so glad I found your channel! I’m taking my test in about a month an a half (finally got a test date since the centers opened back up, woohoo!). I have watched a couple videos on how people prepared for the test and you’re the first person to ease my fears and not make me feel like I’m going to fail.
Oh, good!! I'm so glad I can help! Believe me, I understand the feeling. It's an overwhelming process on its own, I cant imagine what it's been like during the pandemic. Definitely let me know if there's anything you're stuck on or having questions about! My video on the approach I took with each question will be out early next week. You can do this!!
Thank you SO much for this. I graduated mid December and have been unsure as how yo start. This has been so helpful for my type studying. I will be studying while working and this really helps. I’m still nervous but I have some direction, which is nice. Here it goes
I needed this! Thank you! I am using the Therapy Ed book, NBCOT study guide, and I have the purple book. I know my problem is overthinking but I am going to reorganize my plan because I think your ideas would be better suited for me.
HI Jordan, I am an OT from India, just starting on this journey for certification. This video was a great start for me, the way you delivered all the information it was so much digestible. please if you can really tell whats the difference between NBCOT and NOTCE tests.
I was supposed to have graduated in April, but of course, COVID pushed everything back. I actually finished FW in July but the timeline has really messed with me mentally. I was prepared to be done by summer and when that didn't happen I was crushed. On top of that my husband and I only saved for me to be off work until then, so I had to scramble and get a gig job, then my children started distance learning... All in all, my mental health has not really allowed me to start preparing for the exam. Thanks for posting this, I will be using this as a guideline to take the OTA exam in about 6 weeks.
Jordan - I am following your study plan as it is very similar to how my brain likes to take in information. Can I ask why you chose the lineup you followed (aka the order in which you read the chapters)? my Therapy Ed book is the 4th edition for the COTA licensing exam. maybe our books are different? wondering if i should just read the chapters in order as they are in the book?
Hello again :) So am I create my own calendar, i wanted to ask is there a way that you find breaking down the AOTA exam prep lessons with therapy Ed? Right now I am just dividing them with the total amount of days I have in my study plan, which once again thanks for yours :)
Hi! I am a new COTA graduate. I am stressing about taking my test. I’m giving myself 10 weeks tops to take the test. I am going to use therapy Ed book, purple book and the AOTA study pack. I also heard the NBCOT study pack and pass the ot are good materials to buy as well but I don’t want to be spending $100s of dollars on materials. Have you heard of those ones?
