    Both my sister and brother-in-law who are medical doctors( pediatric surgeon and an anesthesiologist) are in Vietnam right now volunteering their services in Saigon doing surgery on children . They used to go every year except the past 2 years because of Covid.

    being in the F&B industry I think I'd rather the 50/50 risk losing £10-20k investment in Vietnam opening a coffee shop or restaurant than 90% chance of losing at least £250k start up costs for the same in UK!!

      You'll get the basic one here IF the school is legit and pays the social insurance etc.

      BIS probably the most renowned school here alongside the likes of SSIS in D7.

    When a job posting is hourly pay and says say 20 teaching hours a week on average are you only paid for those hours or the full 8-9 hours your actually there at the school?

    • @expatnam
      @expatnam  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Typically just for those hours unfortunately-unless you can negotiate on a salary not hourly basis.

      You could try Vietnam works or monster for local jobs, but the schools here tend to advertise directly on their websites i find.

    I've been retired in Saigon for 6 months, Im getting restless, my wife works and frequently goes away on business. I was wondering what type of work are you doing in Saigon. Im a current lic registered nurse in the USA, but I didnt complete my BS degree, so teaching is a problem. I was wondering if you had any ideas on work in the medical community or some other field. I have 5 year visa extension and can get my own TRC.

      Hi Bill, there's opportunities in research and ngo work in healthcare but any kind of clinician role etc would typically be filled by a local person. There are some foreign Dr's here and physios etc but they're few and far between

      haha, not really, it's not very exciting though i assure you. I like to keep some things private on here, you do get some very strange messages sometimes!

    I’m not sure what the point is of recording your videos while riding your bike; the combination of your accent and the distraction and noise of riding makes it really difficult to understand what you’re trying to impart.
