Out of everything in you're exhibition the retro Duke is a fantastic version because of the new engineering, I bought it, the anniversary spawn, I'm still thinking about, and the techno viper are my tops 😄
@@allthingschad lol. Sorry about that. Recondo is great but I just know there are so many more great Joes coming down the pipeline like Jinx and Nemesis Enforcer.
I have the majority of the same figures as you. Does that make you an influencer?😂 I don't count or keep track of everything I buy because if I had a solid number of what enters my collection every quarter I would probably shock myself. ADHD impulsivity is very real. Anyway, love these videos. Keep it up.
@@Z-ManAtTheParty thanks, man. I’ll add “influencer” to my resume. Can I use you as a reference? 😆 I’ve been keeping a spreadsheet of my toy purchases the past few years, specifically to make it easier for me to shoot these videos. This is the first year I added a “cost” column. Bad idea. Jarring.
Do you ever get a toy late, so it doesn't qualify for your date range, and you wish you could include it because it would have made it through to your toy of the year finalists? My personal top 10 favorites from your quarter two would be, in no particular order: Shimo Funko Pop The Goon Dhalsim The Prowler Frostbite Batman Carnage Kang Kodos Anubus Purple Techno Viper My decisions are based on two things: 1. How I think they would stand out in my own toy room. Size and colour play a big part. 2. If it strikes a nostalgia cord with me, or if the toy instantly makes me picture myself as a kid playing with it.
@@smacrecords hey Scott. I can’t think of an example off the top of my head. But this year both Ripper and Crystar are great figures but I feel weird giving them the nod because they made a few people’s lists last year (arrived to some people in late December) and I don’t want my 2024 list to feel dated. I already eliminated Ripper for that reason and Crystar may succumb to that reasoning as well. We basically apply the same criteria. The actual figure (articulation, colour, accuracy) is obviously considered but nostalgia can win out over all of that. Thanks for providing your list. I appreciate the thought put into it.

@@rickytoddbotelho9555 so I did alright then.
Always some of my favorite videos from you. I think a lot of the Joes were some of the strongest figures of the quarter
@@LukeJH11 thanks, Luke. The G. I. Joe Classified line has been so good. Six made my Top 20 last year and I feel this year there may be even more.
You were stressing me out with Recondo the whole video because of some of the close-ups. Glad he made it through with Frostbite!
