You said it's not because of any intrinsic quality in gold that it becomes the money commodity, however, previously you mentioned that metals like gold and silver had the important property of being easily divided and recombined over and over etc ... Isn't this an useful physical quality intrinsic to those metals, unlike those of wood or cattle etc.? In other words, if the money commodity derives from the exchange social relation itself and not from its instrinsic qualities, then what causes the different kinds of money commodities like slaves or women or household items to appear? Thank you once again.
@@antoniomachado1808 this quality is why societies use metals for money. But this quality is not the reason for their value in relation to other commodities.
