Hi Lars, You can create a joint to the Origin, no need for a sketch first. Grounding a component often doesn't seem to work for me, so I usually create a rigid joint to the origin instead. Your scallop toolpath was using the centre of the ball endmill, which would result in practically zero surface speed and a poor finish. Even selecting 'contact point boundry' wouldn't help much due to the very shallow angle. A job for a bull nose or corner radius endmill.
Why not lathe the first operation (as it is in a lathe chuck)? As it would be super fast with a cnc lathe. Or a 5 axis cnc so you could do all in one machine. Maybe this is a bit over the top for this though, I am thinking about it from a production line point of view.
39:45 If you made this copy, you can not generate the tool path. So if you change the feed and speed you must generate it and then it will use the wrong surface. So you must copy it again...?

What program do I need to simply create STP files of animals, dolls, etc and send the STP files format to my manufacturer so he can make a 3D model of my product ? So whats the status on Wire EDM integration in fusion360 cam. As you mentioned its quite common to use in such situations.
