16v, your best interview yet. Too young to have seen the legend play, but he has taken me back to appreciate why we love Kaizer Chiefs so much.. O lepara. Africa's greatest
Beautiful ❤ Lolo's interview was short lived and he was still unpacking a lot & letting us in on what he is all about, very refreshing & fairly new, Fresh ruined it in quest for the legendary doc. Going forward please allocate time fairly (not necessarily equal). Love the Doc as well❤
Fresh, awesome interview with the most adored son of SA football. Well done! Your knowledge of football and Doctor's journey is incredible. I don't know if you could still ask the following questions in your PART 2 which I felt should have been covered: 1. What was the mood and atmosphere like for Doctor in the week leading to a Soweto derby, especially in Soweto during his playing days, and the festivities after the match? Things are a lot different in today's derby than they were 30 years ago. During those days clubs had Public Relations Officers who would do TV interviews and hype the nation for the weekend's derby. It was like a world cup fixture. 2. What happened with his first touch of the ball on his first Soweto derby match? I think his first touch was a shibobo that rocked the stadium. 3. Was he aware that playing with an S-curl and a ponytail hairdo was a genius marketing move that contributed to the aura of his brand, which created a legion of ladies who became fans of football not because they genuinely loved football but because they were Doctor's groupies? 4. The 1993 derby where Doctor and the team were running circles around Pirates players that lead to the FNB stadium being torched and the match abandoned. What is his recollection of that match. 5. Doctor mentioned that at 12 years old when he came home from the boxing gym he took a shower. I am interest in that because for his parent's house to have a shower back in the early 80s in the township must have meant they were a well off family. Was he aware of his privileges at that time? I mean not a lot of households had showers back then. 6. What was his first car when he turned professional? 7. There is a Coca-Cola advert of Doctor walking down a tunnel and a young boy giving him a can of coke. Where is that advert? 8. How is his relationship with his former teammates such as Lucas Rhadebe, Ace Khuse, Neil Tovey, etc. Do they hang out and catch up? 9. Lastly, how does he make a living as a retired footballer. Is he still employed at Chiefs in some capacity or doing something else to earn a living?
My favourite of all time. It's impossible to downplay his greatness. Today we celebrate about Themba Zwane, Rele Mofokeng, Mfundo Vilakazi and that is because guys like Doc, Shoes and Tebza Moloi paved the way. Salute to the greatest number 15 ever.
Dj Fresh, you are not alone. Oh, I love Doc Khumalo, since I was probably 11 years, today I'm 45. How I wish I could turn back the hands of time and take him back to Chiefs as a 19 years old.
I expected you to let him explain how he performed in that derby. A story of him being made to teka an orange or tennis ball whilst on to training. About the move to Aston Villa, the double shibobos to Brendon Silent...
I once saw a british postcast and the guest was telling the hosts about Doctor 16v Khumalo. King, your legend echoes further than we can begin to imagine only because of the player and the person you are, not were, but you are. Respect to both of you for being legendary.❤⚽️🎛🎧 th-cam.com/users/shortsavp9U6xTiZg?si=-rHn5ghD7WYyr67w
