I was of the mind set about a good camera… I finally just said I’m just gonna do it. Bought a handy cam and been filming my outdoor adventures the last two years and glad I got past the mentality of thinking I needed that certain camera. Now I’m just waiting for the invite to hunt and video with my favorite elk hunters😉

Robby, nice buck, great shot. Trevor, the phone worked just fine. It was a little spinney/twisty which calmed down as the video went on, so you adjusted to it pretty quickly. Video quality was fine and I watched in to 1080. Sorry your dad didn't get the shot before Robby. The joy you guys share between each other is pretty special.

When I first started watching you guys it was cell phone or old school camera. But it's about capturing the hunt with good friends family and laughs. Thanks for still being you and taking us back to the way things use to be haha.

Honestly the cell phone camera footage wasn't to bad. A little wider angle lens attachment and I think it would have been my only thought. Otherwise maybe being able to zoom in and see the kill shot as well.

I appreciate the cringe at the realization you are actually drinking a Pepsi. I live in Oregon and shoot blacktails. I get flea bitten almost every year after dealing with the deer. Carrying one out on my shoulders and those fleas jumping on my neck just makes me itch while looking.

Trevor if I seen that buck I would have set my gun up and the kept looking thru my binos then back to the gun then back to the binos ,, then after an hour or so shot it !!! Lol sound familiar ??
Nice presentation Treavor .. Cell video is excellent..It’s like anything that’s new to acclimate yourself to .. You have many trials and tribulations each of which you have to master..I.e.-Time lapse, slo mo etc .. it’s in the scheme of things..It’ll take time until it’ll be second nature to you…A portable circular white reflector might be fun to use for close ups,, a couple of filters over the lense , wireless mic setup ???.,
Try to keep the sky from dominating the scene otherwise your main subject is underexposed… on & on & on it goes.. Practice this setup in the spring/summer at home .. Your going to have to be aware of your battery life in between Pepsi’s .LOL
