I personally feel that the raw energy of that remix, as well as that of Sky Garden, are enough to make up for any graphical shortcomings Nintendo may make for the rest of the Pass... let alone all the inevitable bangers yet to come. We're eatin' goooood for the next year-and-a-half, Mario Music Fans.
My thoughts on all of these: Paris Promenade- Both versions are VERY fitting for Paris, and while not a lot changed, it was definitely change enough to give 8 Deluxe the edge. Toad Circuit- Personally, this is my favorite circuit theme in the Mario Kart series. Both versions sound great, I’d call it a draw here. Choco Mountain- 8 Deluxe by a milestone. Coconut Mall- I might get ridiculed for this, but I gotta go with 8 Deluxe’s version. The instruments are just so much cleaner. Tokyo Blur- Gotta go with 8 Deluxe. Shroom Ridge- When this DLC was first revealed, this was my most anticipated song. I was wondering "Are they gonna ruin the song by making it not electronic like they did with GBA Cheese Land?", but low and behold, they didn’t, and I couldn’t be happier. Until wave 3, this was by far my favorite _new_ remix we got (I say new because we have Waluigi Pinball which uses the same song as Wario Stadium; I doubt something like that’ll happen again but I have no idea). In any event, between the two songs, I gotta go with 8 Deluxe’s version again. Sky Garden- This kinda contrasts with my anticipation for Shroom Ridge, but I actually like the (8 Deluxe) remix despite it not being synthetic like the original song. However, I WILL say that I think they shoulda just used the Mario Kart Tour remix, cuz in my opinion, that’s the ultimate remix of Sky Garden. Ninja Hideaway- I don’t really like either version, but if I had to pick one I’d go with 8 Deluxe.

Nah actually tours and 8dx ninja hideaway are quite different. There’s an electric guitar in the at the beginning in tour that is absent in 8dx. Which is a lil disappointing cause it adds a lot to the track imo
I wish Mario Kart 8 Deluxe had settings on which version of the tracks you would choose to play and listen to while you race on those courses (Example: Original, DS, 7, or 8)

All of them are 8dx, the closest is coconut mall and ninja hideaway but they still sound better

Nobody is talking about Sky Garden’s DS remix. It’s underated
Mario kart 7’s coconut mall real tries. If only we didn’t have the compression the echo would be cool.
Tour’s Sky Garden has a weird fan remix-like quality. Does sound good, albeit a little inappropriate for background music.
It sounds more like a Smash remix, not that I'm complaining.
I actually like it more than 8's remix because it's more faithful to the original

Pretty much right, Wii's Coconut Mall is better in every single way (track too maybe except the tenor sax). 8's Sky garden's is cool tho.
only thing i would change is i think n64 chock mountain sounds better, and mk8d’s sky garden sounds better than tours.
I'd say DS's Sky Garden is better but that's just my MKDS fanboy heart speaking, overall MK8DX has the best quality if it wasn't for MKDS.
