I have a zero tolerance policy for ghosting. There’s very limited reasons why ghosting would be acceptable. But simply because she doesn’t have the courage to just tell you she’s no longer or is interested that’s not acceptable period.

If she would have blocked and ghosted me like that, I would have immediately moved on. That is a red flag if I ever saw one. Another thing, I would have never told her that I once cheated on a woman. That would have gone to the grave with me. There's no sense in worrying a new girlfriend about an issue like that especially if you have changed for the better and don't do that anymore. Anna, thank you so much for creating your channel. I'm back in the dating game after my marriage of ten years ended in divorce back in March of this year. I've only dated two women since becoming single. The first of whom ghosted me after going on seven dates, which all went pretty well. We went without contact for two months, then she randomly popped up and messaged me one day back in November. She was talking about how much she missed me, and how we need to do this and that together. Low and behold, she ghosted again on Christmas day, not responding to my messages, but posting all kinds of pics on FB. This definitely seems to be a pattern with her, and I've learned my lesson. She and I are finished.
If she reaches out again, don’t ghost her, tell her you’re interested in someone who is more reliable. Keep in mind that not replying for a few hours or a few days is not ghosting, but it might be playing games and is disrespectful just the same.
Anne is 100%.....some modern women nowadays have attention from hundreds of men monthly, on their phones, they love being wanted. After bouncing from man to man, they find it hard to pair bond.
In the end they keep certain men in their rotation and rotate,when they get bored. Be careful you don't fall into this kind of open relationship, unless you want it.

I'm now dating another woman, and things appear to be going decently. We've been dating since October, and she hasn't pulled a Houdini on me, so far.

That certainly could be a reason why. It could also be that he was hounding her. Many potential reasons, but if someone doesn't give warning "If you don't stop messaging me 30x a day I'm going to have to block you" sort of thing (which happens to men and women btw) then yeah, forget her.
@@YourWingmam MY take is that; her favorite was coming back this is why she got "rid" of mister #2 or (3 or 4...) through blocking. When it did not work with her favorite(s) she came back to him, knowing he would be there to be her "emotional support" and go to backup. Hope the guy did not invest too much mental and $ energy in this girl.
@@pierreb7878 While Anna is correct that he could be 'hounding her' (in her opinion), Im leaning towards your take as this seems to be the most common. men are usually good at giving people space! i have certainly have been accused of 'NOT really caring' because a gave a woman space, when she wanted a chase.

There is one factor you have to consider first. How old is he? He sounds young and because he is young. This might just be nothing more then a lesson. There is drama in all relationships, but to start a relationship with drama is a life fill with chaos. Maybe she did him a favor, move on, he has a lot to learn and if there is indeed such thing as a "soulmate". I don't think she would fill your life with uncertainty.

Very good video and i like the way you broke it down. With a person who likes to play games - (that on an off blocking) after the 2 nd time i just drop that person and move on. Many people don't have time for childish attitudes. Just cut them off and move on. In a marriage that kind of crap will not go. Dating exposes these things be it man or women.

Looks to me like she's playing you, your in rotation, she has other options, logic won't work on an emotional creature so just block and move forward, there is still some nice uncomplicated creatures out there, don't waste your time if this is how she is, at the beginning.

Honestly, if she's gonna send a ring image and a heart eyes emoji and they're not very close, she's desperate for marriage and hasn't gave enough time to be really sure what they both want. She's most likely emotionally unhealthy! I have a question. What advice do you have about talking to attractive women while keeping my commitment with my guy friend? He talks a lot, he's not the best listener, and may have ADHD. He really only talks to me when we hang out and nobody else. He loves sports and we usually ice skate, bowl, or rollerblade. Do you think it's possible to maintain my social commitment with a guy that may have ADHD while chatting with a fine lady, or just stick with my friendship commitment in order to avoid any problems?
Great question! That's something you should discuss with your friend. Ask him what he would want from you in a similar situation. If you ask him hypothetically before you're in a live situation about what he would want if it was him wanting to talk to someone. He might be less selfish in what he asks of you (assuming your values match). Then make a pact and dont' break it without permission unless you're willing to lose that friendship. Keep this in mind: true friends will want what's best for you as long as you're pulling your friendship weight. :)
Anna, I find your videos long on wisdom and very short on fluff. I admire the gentle hand you have as you deliver what can be painful Truth. Regarding "Ghosting"; it is a coward's tool to avoid confrontation. If I am unacceptable in some way,( though I can't imagine what that would be) have the courage to tell me face to face. Don't weasel out. I'm long past the time of life in which I am self-critical. I've done that and am over with it. I'm a widower after 54 years of a very good marriage. There isn't much that shakes my confidence. By now, if I haven't seen it or done it it's probably not worth the time to be concerned. That sounds egotistical, but not, just experienced. As hard as it is to say this, it sounds like he's better off on his own. Calling him her "forever" guy one day and then blocking him a couple days later? Blocking him multiple times over the course of their time together? Maybe she's a likable person, but it sure doesn't sound like she's in the right frame of mind for a serious relationship. Sadly, I think he's better off looking elsewhere. That ring + "Forever" struck me almost as if she was expecting a proposal and got upset when it didn't happen (but that's just a guess, not knowing her). Like the change up in format. Yes! I can relate to this situation; pursued me for sometime, dated 11 years, common interest, communication was excellent when it came to wants and needs, intelligent, discussed a variety of subjects of interest, both of us are from Ireland and became very close. However! I told her I would never marry again, and live separately, no issue there. (Downside!) single mother of three, love to gossip, unreliable when staying in touch, did not like to be seen in public as a couple, called her out and was assertive, (liked it when i took the lead). One day she went no contact, I tried many forms of communication to no avail, when I finally had the opportunity to come face to face, I suggested we should stay in touch, the response, I' am to busy, I expected no less after one and half years, just wanted closure.

Sounds like she could potentially be narcissistic. It sounds like she was a sweet talker, and love-bomber, discarded him with no explanation, put him on the shelf and decided to come back out and play for a bit. "You make my life complete" sounds like something a narc would say. Narcs view people as extensions of themselves, and not like separate individual entities with their own thoughts, feelings, wants, needs and desires.
I was ghosted by a woman recently. She ghosted me in person! We go to the same gym, and we seemed to be getting along quite well--the chemistry was cooking. But one day, she acted like we had never met. I never tried to find out what happened, so we have been estranged ever since.

Sometimes the dream of a happy relationship with a lady, although you know there are red flags, you hope it will work out and overcome the red flags.

Yep, it is often very difficult to change a relationship dynamic that isn't working. Almost impossible if the other person isn't willing to participate in making changes.
Anna, these responses are excellent. I could add a few questions for him? Who is leading? Who is merely reacting? What does he think about being aloof yet shows concerns? I like the cat metaphor. Men have to be cautious when attracting kitties. Cats have been known to scratch, especially if you have more than one ( or a few) are hanging around purring for attention or food.

I always want the truth, and want to know why. So I would rather know. That said I know that is rare! And even if someone tells you why t hey left, it is usually not the real reason. So I have learned to accept, I will likely not really know why it ended.
Off topic: Years ago I knew a guy who was seeing a girl, but for whatever reason he broke off their relationship.
She kept on communicating with him & finally convinced him to get back together with her...
... only to find a month later that she decided to "dump" him!

It was a very good review you done from that comment anna. So, I believe it's not just in relationship this ghosting happens to men by woman. I don't often hear that men ghosted womans, but everytime I hear that men got ghosted by woman and woman who dislikes men and woman who rejects man. It something very very common and normal what we used to hear more often. What should we do about this situation and you gave a proper solution not only this time but even in other times as well. The men who always encourages the bad behaviours of woman is really a main cause of that why this is happening and also simping. I think idea of soulmate is dangerous for some reasons and I did considered someone as soulmate and I had the similar ghosting story happened with a woman, but not with the one who I considered as a soulmate or on relationship but in the another different situation and as men it is very important for us not to engage in any bad habits which may ruin our life and love and that's how my ghosting story happened and sometimes some womens may first try to connect with us emotionally but then they dumb us and that happened to me and that's because I gave her more attention and validation and I learned my lessons and I can't go more into details about that. The number of time I have had women tell me I am their soul mate, even when just friends, is a little crazy. These are women words, often from feelings of the moment, and sometimes as manipulation (instinctive usually, rather than deliberate). So do not put too much into it! Seriously man! Never put much meaning to it!

Hey Anna, I cannont understand why they are still together after four years. By that time I would think they would have married or moved in together. I believe she thinks he's a dead end and just decided it was high time to move on.

So this is the idea I get from these lessons, and I'd like your thoughts on it to see if I'm on track.
Rather than chasing a woman, which would make her see you as lesser-than and therefore not husband material, become the quality man they'd desire, let them chase after you, and then invite them into your already complete life as a complimentary person.

I got a text from my potential girlfriend saying that she "wasn't this sick in years". I was concerned and I called her right away. She didn't answer the phone, and texted me that she was too sick to talk. Is that the red flag I think it is?
Unless there are other red flags, I wouldn’t necessarily count this as one. Go live your life, text her in a day or two (depending how often you usually communicate) and let her know you hope she’s feeling better. In this case assume she’s being truthful. For now.
