    Thanks for pointing out where the crash bar touched the road. I now know where to installs the putts!

    Thanks! I feel like sturdy, simple, and well placed crash bars are the best choice for a lot of reasons. Some sliders aren't actually that durable. I had a slider twist on the bike, and it was not going to be easy to remove or replace.

    Excellent video thanks. So far I have on my SV650 frame sliders but I have always wanted those SW-Motech crash bars, unfortunately the Colombian Peso is not doing well at all against the US Dollar so European brands motorcycle accessories end up costing a lot of money

      Things have been similar here in japan. They have gone up by ¥5000 (45$) here since we got them 6 months back.
      But definitely worth it for us.
      Daytona is a Japanese brand that is good in price and quality, maybe see if those work for you

    The SW motech crash bars look like they do a great job protecting the Suzuki SV650's radiator. A good choice for a learner who is probably going to drop the bike while they learn to ride.

    Great vid! Weird question. I’ve got the identical bike as yours in 2022 model in USA. I’m trying to order crash bars direct from SW Motech and they ask to “select type.” Choices are WCX0 or WCX1. Do you know what that means?

    Always the possibility of damaging the frame with crash bars or sliders fitted.

    What would be best crash bars or sliders for a Suzuki boulevard s40

    • @KairyuRider
      @KairyuRider  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      For a cruiser you can get "highway bars" the are like crashbars but sun come with extra foot pegs or you can mount some for an extra position for you foot.
      Cruisers don't really slide and are big enough that saving weight with sliders doesn't really matter.
      So for me I would say highway bars/crash bars

    I put these crash bars on my SV. I like them, but one thing I don't like is that the main bolt that goes through the engine is not quite long enough. Or should I say, it is only just long enough. I would like it to stick out past the end of the nut rather than be flush with the nut. It doesn't properly engage with the nylon in the nyloc nut. It makes me slightly nervous. I think your one in the video is the same. I put some threadlocker on it just in case.

    • @KairyuRider
      @KairyuRider  ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe we used thread locker too.
      It's just long enough but it is enough. We've had no issues in over a year and a half. Checked it at 100km and 1000km.

    • @dgphi
      @dgphi ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KairyuRider Thanks for the info. Yeah, I think it's okay with the threadlocker. Ideally it would poke out by a couple of threads though.

    I had a 690 Duke with original KTM crash bars, I went down at 60kmh and they just cracked. I’m not very confident on crash bars anymore, I hope yours do better.

    • @KairyuRider
      @KairyuRider  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the note. I've heard OEM tend to be budget.
      I had hepco and becker bars on my vstrom and it went down really hard a few times. Other than scratches on the bars then were solid, so was I and so was the bike.
      But I figure if the bars Crack instead of my wife, that's a win
