- This video explores the abilities, powers, and origin of the DC Comics character "Omega." From having the same early history as the Prime Earth Bruce Thomas Wayne while being the future timeline Elseworld Batman, becoming an old and hardened authoritarian ruler after cascading world-wide crises led to him defeating and putting Darkseid's head on a stake to gain the Anti-Life Equation, the destruction of the Hall of Justice and people's aggression pushing him to subjugate the world for it's own good, taking out any superheroes and super-villains that didn't submit to his rule, wiping out most of Wonder Woman's Amazonian sisters as well as plotting to enhance his Anti-Life signal using the telepathic abilities of Martian Manhunter, directing Alfred Pennyworth to orchestrate the development of a Bruce Wayne clone of himself in order to have a worthy successor to become the next Omega, to an epic final showdown between the old Batman and the young new Batman clone on top of Wayne Tower; Let's take a look at this intriguing evil Batman from an alternate timeline, and the powerful DC supervillain who was the Last Knight on Earth. This includes a short, canon character biography and my own opinionated "Sage Rating," which I use to give ratings of comic book and science fiction characters.

I love how so much of the back and forth dynamic is "They're both batman, so they outfox the other one, who is also batman, so they anticipate the first one, but then the second one counters, as they are also batman."

It makes sense, batman is outrageously smart but what happens if he fights another version of himself? It’ll be a back and forth until one surrenders, messes up, or dies.
Although its becoming a Trope, I still like how creative the writers are still getting with the ideas of evil Batmans

Batman Who Laughs was only looking through the Dark Multiverse, Omega seems to be from the regular multiverse.

It took me a good minute to think about this but honestly after getting mauled by those people. He should have gave up trying to save them instead of forcefully doing it. He heard their answer loud and clear so honestly his obligation to humanity and his parents were done. He did the best he could do and even tried to do something that normally goes against how he would operate (unsealing the doors on hope alone without realizing the possible repercussions). Therefore his role as Batman and as a hero in general should have ended.
This character story sounds like a really cool concept. His costume design could be better tho.
The action figure looks awesome though, way better than the art.

Batman doesnt have moral hindrances. Its part of his drive that he has his code.
He does have moral hinderances. His goal is to keep Gotham safe, morality prevents him from ending the lives of national threat-level criminals permanently; mission hindered.

I haven’t read this comic, but part of me believes omega got exactly what he wanted. He pushed his would-be successor to resort to using lethal force. Wouldn’t it be cool if omega intended this all along?
They need to make this into an animated series. Flashpoint Paradox was amazing so I would imagine this to be great if done by the same studio

I love how Bad Batman is just multiple times worse than Bad Superman or everyone else for that matter, when he just simply a man.
Being just simply a man doesn’t mean much, regular heroic prime Batman is pretty messed up to some degree, definitely worse than Superman by fffaarrr so it makes sense other evil Batmen not being as strong as Prime would be waaay worse than the big blue boyscout’s evil versions as they’re mentally weaker than Prime.

When Batman gives up his moral code he grows careless, obsessed with wanting to prove his point to break his old self but often ends up failing because the other Batman doesn't break often because he wasn't pushed to the extremes the other Batman was subjected to and he often ends up empowering the old Batman by subjecting him to the same kind of torture but fails.

It looks like but there is still hope and the ending is still good while all of the dark multiverse stories are all bad endings.
Batman is kinda dull these days. Like they are trying to make him more like Tony Stark with the new suits constantly. What happened to his investigation skills and not just lore dump, easy peasy, plot armor.

I wouldn't call his crusade misguided by any means. Clearly humanity was running itself into the ground, clearly it shows death and destruction killing its own heroes, and clearly Bruce Wayne finally saw the world outside of the view he had with his head shift up his ass. Omega is the best Batman. Not the dark Knight who laughs who's just Batman on edge trying to be joker, Omega is Batman without the stupidity of his moral compass.
Well the humans were the cause of him going evil so he had every right to get mad at them. Not only did they conspire to kill superman without reason they also stormed the hall of justice and beat batman near death. I'd be surprised if he didn't turn evil to be honest.
