Nidhoggr is ridiculous, a total babe but man, even as someone who got her, she’s crazy. I was on Arenas yesterday trying to finish the quests, ran into an Eirika team and Nidhoggr got knocked down to 1HP. But then she ended up tanking all three of the remaining Eirikas, even Attuned Eirika; thought for sure one of those hits were gonna off her. I have to be honest, I think the moment where this powercreep FIRST became the beginning of the end was Gullveig.Three action Galeforce previously not seen on any other unit besides Edelgard alts, but it was a part of her natural kit. No other Book 7 character came even close to how stupid she was, and IS saw this and went into the realm of MORE insanity with Summer Gullveig. Gullveig is literally the harbinger of shit things to come in the meta.
Honestly, I agree with Tacho about things getting insane since last Winter’s banner i.e from Book 8. Gullveig was certainly… interesting, but her triple actions was nothing too difficult to deal with, especially since she has the self-gravity. Even when she was actually released, she was kinda already dead in the water at the end of HER book, since she didn’t really have enough firepower to keep up with the new book’s powercreep. Honestly Book 8 felt like back to back power creep with all new shiny skills every month. And don’t get me started with Emblem heroes! Been much harder to save this year compared to any other year.
I remember the feeling of dread seeing the Xmas banner and thinking 'this is ridiculous, you know what I might just give up"... now Im just used to it. It's a wild ride, but at least the meta is constantly getting switched up.
This is pretty accurate tbh. I had to switch up my mindset from "collect amd invest in a few units (either meta or favourites)" to "spark the newest unit use it for 2 months, then repeat"
It's usually good to invest in strong support units, they'll have a longer shelf life than the flavor-of-the-month broken meta unit. All this to say invest in Gatekeeper, because he's still carrying me hard even after all this time 😊
@@random__idiot I still follow that mind set. I find newer skills matter more than newer units. The only new unit I use is Felix and occasionally Fjorm. Other than that I still use older units like Brave Edelgard instead of newer units
The only basis I play the game on is “Build up my favorites with all the new skills and wait for said favorites to get an alt”. The first part is pretty easy. The second part is… challenging and discouraging. I’m still waiting for a Silas alt after eight years of playing this game, but all IS hears is “More Kagero”.
I think some of the powercreep has been fun and spiced up the game. I think Ninja Lucina is an example of good power creep- she's an incredible unit but the AI really can't use her properly.
I would like to hear a small round table with other Fehtubers, about "is Feh more fun now in how complex/powercreep is or was Feh more fun when it was more simple (book3/4) in the amount of power description"
It's 100 % going to be the sentiment that power creep is needed, even units that shake things up (because this game can't sustain itself just on novelty and easy playing. Powercreep is needed to push banners. This game would be dead if we all just played the good ol' fury desperation builds lol). It's just that last 365 days this game basically went full on insane with powercreep and jumped to places we didn't need to, too quickly. Especially with skills/tier 4 skills. They've been doing so much vs the original set of tier 4 skills at the start. Especially B skills. Along with everything having tempo and super flat DR being annoying as hell. Like I literally side eye every refine that gives a unit guard because a majority of current units come with tempo equipped in their prfs
I just ran into a Nidhoggr with a +10 Celica ring in Voting Gauntlet. I thought, "Yeah, f*** that. I'm not dealing with that abomination right now," and immediately surrendered. Bruh, my Petrine did nothing to her on that abyssal map, and she has the color advantage and has bonus damage against beast. Nemesis just died straight up to her, and Corrin was left on 1 Hp while not doing any damage to Nidhoggr at all.
Yep, F! Edelgard ushered in this era of everyone and their mom having NFU… and then after they released the NFU seal it’s slowly been getting rarer again. Lots of new skills that outsource NFU as opposed to units inherently having it. I was surprised units like B! Felix didn’t have any sort of NFU in their base kit for example.
I started playing when the game released, and I stopped playing around the spring banner of 2023. EVERY TIME I've seen anything about Feh since then, I've been increasingly glad I got out when I did. Just looking at the length of some of these descriptions sends me off the deep end
Wait how is she a mom? 😭 Since she is a daughter of Laerded and not a mom but a drunk lady for sure. xD Also yeah that three houses winter banner was so terrifying to see but it's nothing compared to what we're seeing ..now.
It’s not free to play but I’m also not a whale and my honest opinion is that feh kinda made it so that if you want play competitive modes at all you have to chase the meta which personally sucks because building units becomes kinda pointless cause whatever you try to invest in just gets phased out. But it means between grail units and arena summons very few units are worth it while the ones that do work often still require a lot of fodder to function.
I heard PM1 had trouble clearing the map with the easy to get units, but he managed to clear it. With the Ninja Lucina/Chrom i saw those clear the map with ease, to getting killed on a counterattack, failing the map 😅 My least favorite meta was the melting meta, and the no turn for you meta, but both did get very harsh nerfs. And of course the B!Felix warps in and destroys everything was also a bit much at one point when that was all you saw for some time
Book 9 is doing there debut asap my theory is that we perhaps are going to get a power creep in Christmas hero's that will push the worst enemy to its pinnacles yeah right 😂 but it will be interesting to see what the newbie hero's have to offer shout out from Queens 🗽
That was how I felt until the most recent one! Was nice having the challenge, and was fun to come up with ways to deal over 1 damage to drunk snake lady
We're complaining about Nidhoggr now but just wait until January when New Year Nidhoggr rolls around, completely blessable and all
And new year Heidrun too 😭
She might be another case of Nerthuz getting both new year alt and a summer one with Eikthyrnir
Or new year duo nidhoggr + Heidrun so they can also enable duos hindrance, just because.

Bringing the future to ruin does fit her character...

My brave Erika with momentum btw murders snek lady

They have a lot to live up to with the last Christmas banner.

I literally just woke up and saw this vid lol
Same

If we are assuming avarage FEH player, they are running baekit, and Igrene has Spd/Def Tempo 4 on basekit which cuts DR
I think powercreep got in a weird spot when weapons started to get NFU out of nowhere

If rearmed weapons were good as perf weapons (as it was intended) the game would be in such a better state

Cant imagine how crazy things will get with the next two special banners.

Melt meta and no turn for you era has DEFINITELY the most obnoxious to play against, especially the latter :((
I came here for the clickbait title. 11/10
So... what are the chances we get a Winter Gatekeeper alt?
Don’t really need one. Barricade makes any dragon or beast a Gatekeeper.
Insys should really hire players to balance the game or someone along those lines
Book 9 is doing there debut asap my theory is that we perhaps are going to get a power creep in Christmas hero's that will push the worst enemy to its pinnacles yeah right 😂 but it will be interesting to see what the newbie hero's have to offer shout out from Queens 🗽
I don't care how broken she is, I wanted to summon her as soon as the first Book VIII trailer came out for one reason only: feet
Igrene can pierce Dr tho, she's infantry.
The Abyssal maps are considered hard? 😳
That was how I felt until the most recent one! Was nice having the challenge, and was fun to come up with ways to deal over 1 damage to drunk snake lady
@ The new map wasn’t hard either, I beat it on my second attempt? Its really just trial and error with what units you have.
