    Which one for gag grouper fishing on the bottom down in FL? I want to put an instant stop on the grouper keeping him out of the rocks fishing with 80-100lb power pro max cuatro.

      Couple ones to think about: DX-600 with 80lb or a BV2-800N with 80 or 100Lb.

    Hello, I would like to know if the reel engages by turning the crank or if you have to operate the free spool lever by hand

    • @AccurateFishingReels
      @AccurateFishingReels  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You must operate the lever by hand. When in free spool mode the handle arm will rotate freely until the lever is engaged.

    I had a tern 500x and I didn’t like it, after a few times out it had a inconsistent sound in the gears and it just needed to clean it and put done grease. It needed it from the day I got it but after a few times out it definitely needed it. The first thing I didn’t like is the hex screws are tiny and strip super easy. That is a huge engineering mistake. Maybe they did it on purpose so you have to send it in. The drag is also not 33lb . The drag was actually not as consistent and strong as any shimano. If your used to shimano or diawa drag you will understand the difference. If your looking for a price friendly conventional penn fathom star drags.

    what would you guys recommend for bridge snook fishing?

    • @AccurateFishingReels
      @AccurateFishingReels  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know guys using 400 size reels with 65lb braid but I think the 500 might be better to land them. Fury or BX.

    I have tern 500N can I remove the frame stud and use it for jigging ? It’s way more comfortable to use without the studs but am afraid salt water will get in .

      That is what we do too. You have to unloosen the side plate, not all the way and either use a wrench or needle nose pliers to grip the flats to break loose. Then unscrew by hand. Hope that helps.

      Unfortunately you need a new frame. Frames are expensive so I would Sell the reel and order one with the clicker. I am sure your dealer might help you too. Thanks for your support.

    I’ve been wanting one of y’all’s reels for a long time but have no boat, what would be a good size reel to buy for land based grouper/shark/tarpon???

    • @AccurateFishingReels
      @AccurateFishingReels  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bigger gamefish I would suggest an ATD. Look at them at Accuratefishing.com

    I am saving up for an accurate reel , this company seems like the best reel company out there. Twin drag set ups I also hear the free spool is unbeatable!!! I’m just trying to figure out which one would be best for live bait style fishing for yellowtail. I’m just getting involved with saltwater fishing, I’m planning on an accurate reel. Do you guys have any suggestions ? I have a rod that uses between 30-60 pound line.

    • @AccurateFishingReels
      @AccurateFishingReels  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Casting live baits I would look at a Tern 500 or 500N with a 6.1 gear ratio. The 500 will be more versatile with more line meaning you can use it for tuna too. They run 339.99.

      I've had Avet raptors Penn torques and for sure Accurate is my favorite reel they make quality not quantity for sure. They have excellent support with a very savvy chat team on their website. In my opinion their drag is the smoothest. I've called and have always been able to talk to service reps who are always willing to answer any questions without feeling like your taking up their time. PLUS did you know you can make a special order reel and get them to put different gear ratios if you want a different retrieve speed, that is super cool. They also have really cool handles you can purchase and pimp your reel out. These reels are worth saving for you get what you pay for. you may like the Valiant 500 2 speed you cant go wrong with that reel, you can cast, bottom fish ,yoyo iron, and use it as a slowpitch jig reel with the slow pitch handle they sell which i have. The twins were nice enough to show you how to swap the handle out on a video they posted....

    Valiant 300. Is big ropblem which Japanese do not do. Part blow of 300, it long down, make the fingers tired. After jigging 30times

    • @AccurateFishingReels
      @AccurateFishingReels  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Use the next size up 500N. All people are different and should use what's best for them. Thats why we have a variety of reels and sizes with a variation of gear ratios and handles.

    Which reel would you recommend for freshwater striper and hybrid fishing? Would be jigging and using down lining.

    • @AccurateFishingReels
      @AccurateFishingReels  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think a 500 or 500N for jigging might work best. You can look at the different models at Accuratefishing.com. Might want to look at the BV series single speeds.
