I have this conversation regularly with people about only focusing on the value added and ignoring the non value added, like how product moves from station to station. The automated spray line has a value over the hand spraying that isn’t addressed, the repeatable standard of quality that is very hard to replicate with a human. Watching the video, I would love to see he results of running the spray line with improvements to the flow and batch size as well as transportation of those smaller batches, and see how those numbers would change.
Was an honour to be apart of the ultimate finishing challenge. Seeing your findings I think we can improve and do better :)

Of course we couldn’t make videos for every imaginable scenario. But this should be enough to at least get people thinking.
