懐かしい. I brought my Mother to Suo-Oshima in April and my first time to see where our family (Murakami) is from and my Grandfather's life in Hawaii as he was born in Kauai to a Japanese Family that set up a Trading company in Kauai - But, to see where my Grandfather had grown up after returning to Japan at 10/11 years old and my Grandmother who told my Mother where she went swimming was w/o a doubt a Big Step Back in-time! We didn't stay the night but we plan to stay the night this time on our visit this month to Japan on our way back from Fukuoka. Shorter Japan trip this time vs. the Spring but looking forward to seeing Suo-Oshima again. Wish we had bumped into you but didn't discover this channel until now! Thank u!
Thanks for sharing! We love Oshima. We even looked for a house there before we settled in the mountains on Iwakuni in the small town of Miwa. We are famous for chestnuts if you want some. I just chatted with Ace a little over messenger. I will be watching more! Thanks
Thank you for coming to our cafe the other day. On New Year's Day, the first sunrise live will be held in front of Rivage. Free coffee service. Please come if you like. Garden cafe Rivage at Hirano
Thank you for visiting our channel and leaving a comment. We won’t be in the island on New Year’s Day so we cannot make it this time unfortunately. Thank you for the invitation anyway!! We definitely would love to take our video at your cafe probably in spring.
Thank you for your comment. The island is located in inland sea just like Greek islands. Even the climate is similar to Mediterranean and it’s a good area to grow citrus and olives.
Aaahhh! What a beautiful place-looking forward to visiting someday. Are there any breweries on the island? I love to try a good beer or sake wherever I go :D Thanks for making these videos!
We don’t actually have any still in business on the island but not for on the mainland we have a few! We did (25ish years ago) have a sake brewery near our house. The building is still there and can be accessed. It’s very cool to look at! And we have a sake shop across from our current house that seeks a variety of Spirits from Japan that is worth visiting! We’ll do a video there soon because we know the owner 👍
